Map Discussion Thread

Sebland, I already pointed this out and Nierr has roughly reinforced my idea. If you want the trading / military post on the islands near Kalti and RPI, do an RP with us where a trade agreement is hashed out and formalized. You building so close to my land (one of those islands is practically outside my nautical border) is slight meta-gaming. Feel free to send me a PM about it.

Coult I ask when it may be appropriate to ask for Añola to be on the map, I doubt for a while but I'd like to know roughly.

EDIT:

I'd also like to throw a comparison of Plembobria's original image of Cronaal and how I edited to be for funsies.

You're free to make a claim for it. However it would have to go on the new continents and not be additional land.

That's what I planned anyway.
I'll make a claim after another post on Shores of Añola.

Nessuno:
Guys, you don't think that there are to many colonies in the map?
I, personally, don't think there's too many because it fills up the map a bit more, making it feel more inhabited.

I think that there are..If we fill the map up with too many colonies there won't be enough decent spots left for new nations who apply for spots. We don't wish to keep adding new land to the map.. The map is already very large to accommodate as many applicants as possible, I think the colonies are excessive and largely unnecessary in a modern RP sense.

:agree:

I understood that there are other regions, and that we just really don't interact much with them. They exist in the yonder.

Lore... in the latest map claim update you rejected Sebland's claim on the grounds that it is annexation to circumvent the cartography rules. If the role play was fleshed out more (of which I'm willing to help with) and the 'one country, two systems' compromise I put forward was given more detail, would you be open to reconsidering the territorial role play expansion and claim?

Lore / Nierr,

The following nation's either have ceased to exist or have moved to a different region:
- Tristania
- Morheim
- Pambudia
- Russian Republic / Central Free States
- Lausse
- Axla
- Mor'os
- Belschaft

Edit: Quick question... who's nation is Naizerre? When I look at the NationStates site, I see they were a former nation that ceased to exist and were disgraced.

It's one of Nierr's nations. Naizerre is kind of like Rhuvanland. Nierr claimed it.

@Syrixia: Thank you. I was just confused when it showed up on the map.

@Kannex: When you search for Naizerre on the NationStates size and go into the boneyard, this is what shows up: 'Disgraced: This name was soiled by a former nation (of significant size)' Couldn't really tell you what that implies.

I think it meant they were deleted.

It has to do with his DoS status, it was most likely one of the nations he controlled at the time of his DoS ruling.

I am in the process of updating my terrible neglected spreadsheet and will do removals once I finish that.

btw

Mor'os is Gulliver (his nation is something about pumpkin spice)

Axla is Lausse

Russian Republic is Eluvatar (Which mean its Zemnaya [however the hell the second part is spelled])

Belschaft also moved a new nations into TNP - http://www.nationstates.net/nation=the_agitator

TNP's cartography only maintains that you must maintain activity on the forum, it does not actually require an account in the region on NS, and it doesn't require those nations that are in TNP in NS to have the same name on the map so you can't take the names on the map at face value.

Just finished updating what I did have on the spreedshets, currently on the choping block are Lausse, Axla, Thatchertropolis, Nasania, United Llamas, Yaraennus, Scandigrad, Sirisea, maplands.

Morheim still has posts within a 30 days period (he last posted 7/5).

What actually needs to happen is I need to recolour McM, New Aquilia and GBM, to reflect the colour scheme for unique nations on the new continents. :P

Pumpkin Spice has moved out of TNP.

At the same time, though, the nation leaving the region means that the person loses citizenship, and if they don't have citizenship then they're not masked to post in the RP area.
