Helmebaine Alliance OOC

Space weapon; hell no. If it's proposed I'm not approving that.

Space station; maybe. We already have the under-construction space station for the Treaty members, however not all members of the Alliance are treaty members. I think a Helmebaine Space Station would be alright.

Is the Nebula and Syrixia being arch-enemies but somehow on seperate alliances a coincidence or intended<3

Several of us already have space weapons. Wolfsea has a space laser. I have a kinetic bomber. I also have several missiles trained on rival countries' satellites. Another one would be no big deal.

The Outer Space Treaty nations are not allowed to have space weaponry, and the Treaty outlawed it for a specific and arbitrary reason. I'm too lazy to write it though, so I'd read the treaty.

But anyways; yeah, it would be a big deal.

You should support the Sadakoyama – Ceretis – OSTO Space Treaty. It solves a lot of issues and it's arbitrary.

I'm not saying exactly who has what space weapons but there are definitely space weapons in orbit, surface to space weapons, and such tech. How effective and how many times these can be used before running out and the sheer cost to load them I won't discuss here, but I'd say only a few nations have the capacity to have continuous use weapons without bleeding their nation's budget dry... unless they're godmodding.

Nebula:
Idk, but someone tell Kalti to get out of the Faibuaizu before he ruins our fun.
I wouldn't ruin your fun. I'd sit back, watch the two of you nuke each other into dust and then come in to clean up the mess you two created between the alliance's...

Yeah I don't think that's quite how it's going to play out. Just being honest and looking from how RL and RP nations react, being on both teams could cut two ways. Either people are hesitant to nuke you for being partly on their side or some nations from both sides would nuke you possibly seeing you as an undetermined element that may be secretly working for the other side. When in doubt nuke it out. You could be the nation with the most devastation.

But seriously, let's get back to the reforms being discussed as I think this would solve unwanted problems and help strengthen the alliance.

I wouldn't call them reforms so much as they are... say, premeditated additions.

You mentioned you wanted to be Switzerland; that means not belonging to any alliance with a military commitment, not joining all of them. That's the position I took with Sadakoyama.

Not emulating Switzerland exactly but a variant of it.

Syrixia:
Plus, it'd also ensure Kalti doesn't get ejected for charter breach.
I looked through the Charter and I don't see anything that says nations can't join other alliances. Am I missing something?

Kalti:
(OOC: I personally see no reason why there should be a limit on letting members join both the Helemebaine and Faibuaizu Alliance. Well... other than Nebula and Syrixia threatening to nuke each other at every possible moment...)

LOL they do seem to be like oil and water.

It doesn't? I remember Nebula saying we don't allow nations to join other alliances. :eyebrow:

Well then, let it be known that:

1. New Sekai is welcome to apply again if he still wants in.

2. Officially, members of either alliance can join either alliance.

What's Rhuvanland's status now that it's communist? I'm assuming we're still recognizing the Federal Republic as the legitimate government.

Yes. The Government-in-Exile, which is currently in asylum in Balamb, represents Rhuvanland at the Alliance.

/sigh

There goes Nebula stirring up trouble with Syrixia yet again. Don't you two ever tire of starting wars with each and throwing around nukes?

Kannex:
Ceretis, I don't mean to be rude, but why are you selling weapons to our archrival?
Do you know that thread been created way before this alliance been created? I just went on it and I realise I didn't reply to a post.

Syrixia:
With all due respect, we have seen enough wars in our motherland. Our THIRD civil war has just concluded and our Chancellor has resigned. We need to negotiate and not fight, lest our homeland becomes a war-torn hell.
Did Syrixia just turn down war!? :tb1:

In due fairness, it does get old after a while....

That was Rhuvanland talking.

But Syrixia does agree with them. Enough is enough! Syrixia wants to save the world from nuclear death!
