OOC: There's no Such Thing as Dragons

How is the Spokesman of Eumenor the leader of Eumenor in the present as well as all the way back in the 19th century? Is he one of the Dúnedain?

(REFERENCE)

Great reference. I think he's more one of the Ainur. But he's not the leader back then; it's the Council of Directors. Have I contradicted myself somewhere?
Darcania, I haven't PMed anyone, as Cronaal is busy on other RPs, and I think we have enough people as it is.

Shoot, he's not? Well, who's the one in charge so I can edit my IC post? I was under the impression that the Spokesman was the title of the leader, not the actual leader

You can always edit your own posts.

I agree, Eume. We have enough people as it is. Still, the Spokesman, an Ainur? That's like saying the Byzantine Emperor Constantine was secretly the Archangel Michael.

Except that Lord Lore was the second person to apply, and Cronaal the third. I'm fine with limiting the amount of people, but limiting it by sheer luck and chance instead of first come, first serve is just unfair.

The Spokesman of Eumenor:
RPI:
Eumenor,^^read my last post^^, my question still stands.
It's the Council of Directors. But I doubt that the Chairman of the Council would be busy with the expedition - it's not that big, just one man and his crew.
Well dang :fish: There goes that whole post... do you think you could make him busy with it somehow?

No.

This is why I started the format of starting with a background. :P
The Spokesman of Eumenor:Background:
The Eumenorian government, the Council of Directors, ...
:fish:

Perhaps the letter could talk about "issues at home", referring to the Syrixian spies and general unrest?

By the way, since Syrixia is basically the evil empire in this case, did you catch the Minas Morgul reference? :D

I've been waiting to throw in these references, I have this weird addiction to the LOTR Wiki.

LOTR didn't have enough dragons. :P
At least this RP has enough dragons, though. :D
Dragons make everything better.

K, done. Darcania, could you do me a huge favour and do a description of Zukul I can use in the post, and RPI, can we have another look at your last post again? I think it's Syrixia to go now.

I'll do my turn later today. Also, I totally see your reference. You're comparing the Syrixian Empire to the Orc armies of Mordor. Niiiiiiice.

However there is one thing you didn't touch on: Our navy is actually pretty good, unlike the armies of Mordor. It's air power we don't have much of.

Your navy is good. However, when compared to the shining sea-leviathans that are the proud warships of the Eumenorian navy, dependable, strong, and powerful, they do look like wooden boats, slightly damp, a little bit mouldy.

I can totally see the Syrixians being Uruk-Hais, trying to turn one of my beautiful Minas Ithils into your stinking Minas Morgul.

Let's see now... You might want to paraphrase this description so it's from the perspective of one of your characters.
Zukul, as a child, is small, but not very. I'd say her head, when she's standing normally, is at about chest level for most people. To match someone's height, she'd have to stand slightly on her hind legs.
As a child, her features are rather stout, but she is nearing adolescence and is near the proportions that adult dragons have.
She is almost entirely white from head to tail. Her eyes, which the people would likely be unable to see at this point, are red.
Her belly is plated.
Her horns, which are still relatively small, are also white.
She has a membranous crest running from head to tail, though it isn't very pronounced yet.
Her wings are plain.
Here's a picture of her as an adult (since she's Ulus in the present): http://i.imgur.com/HRO05t6.jpg. The frill on her jawline is not yet present.

Her mother has a similar appearance, though, as an adult, she is far larger. Her eyes are yellow, and her horns black. Her crest is also less pronounced than Zukul's will be, though it is currently larger. She also doesn't have frills on her jawline.

And, also, who is "Azarai"?
The Spokesman of Eumenor:
Azarai had spotted them, and the Mayor's party running along in tow.

And, finally, can you change the directions around? The way I saw it, the ship came from the northwest and landed in the east, so Arazi would approach from the west, with Zukul further to the east.

Note: The borders are likely different at the moment.

The star is Klarliert. The very light blue is part of Wyssiria. The isthmus is where the Klarliert mountain range is.

I think Eumenor meant Arazi. And Eumenor, when I meant strong, I mean they're shining-sea leviathans, etc etc too. Syrixia always revered its navy, so if anything it's a bit more.

And btw, concerning that reference, that's not a bad idea. What major "Minas Ithil" city would you think Syrixia would desire to become Minas Morgul?

Quick clarification:
Eumenor, at the end of your post, are these the positions of the following groups?
Fanshaw and his whole crew: Aboard
The Klarliertisch Militia: Ashore, near where the boarding ramp was
The Mayor: Aboard
Zukul and Arazi: Ashore, on opposite sides

So, have you decided which city yet? If it helps, I think you had a map once. Perhaps you can show it and I'll pick?

Ok, now that Syrixia's posted, it's RPI's turn.
Then Bootsie, then Eumenor, then me again.
