Changes to NS!

For feeders, I do not think it will be a big change.
It will be even less easy for new unknown nations to become a rogue delegate and eject many influential nations.
It would be interesting to see some details, e.g. how much power is consumed if you eject a minnow, a vassal or whatever and wtf is a minnow, a vassal, a truckler and is there any status that sounds nice?. My vassal status does not sound very promising. At least Kitabo is not in the big minnow pot full of nations.

I'm imagining some point system like "everyone gets a point for every update in a given region, plus something for their UN endos that day." You'd take the sum of everyone's influence points and compare them to the region as a whole. If you have less than 0.1% (or whatever) of the total influence points, you'd be a Minnow in that region, between 0.1 and 0.25% a Truckler, and so on.

The Regional Power would be something like comparing one region's influence point sum to some distribution of sums of all the other Regions.

(read a few people sounding confused)

(Delegate is Ivan, the man who controls BA's account.)

I thought delegate was Mammothistan?

Edit: I meant I thought "delegate" on the PPP forum was Mammo. I knew that the Pacific's delegate was Blackadder/now Moldavi.

Does this sound like the end of the revolution?

(Delegate is Ivan, the man who controls BA's account.)
Good old Ivan/Moldavi/The Minister/Gracious Maximus/etc. for you. Always latching onto some opressive dictator's legacy and trying to further it...

I agree. So, if Blackadder becomes a nutcase dictator, we take him down and establish the PRP all over again? Why not try something new? It mgith end, but it'll be a start of democratic influence.

Apollo you realize blackadder is not running The pacific right? It is Moldavi that is the Deleghate of The Pacific now. Which is bad news blues.

So, why do we stand in these two threads and grieve when we could be taking action!? :npa2: :npa2: :npa2: :npa1:

We need to tell Ivan that we will not go quietly into the night and that we will not give up without a fight! We are going to live on! Today, the Facist Dictatorship to be of the Pacific will burn just like Moldavi in the flames of totlitarianism! Let us band together as brothers and fight that one day the PAcific will celebrate an Independence Day!

AI. Frankly. Shut up. Or at least go spout such rhetoric in the Pacific. Although it's now been made unnecessary unless you want to fight the NPO. Ivan's not done a damn thing to you. What right do you have to claim any injustice? To determine the "right" direction of The Pacific?

Apollo I ask again. Have the pacificans themselves asked for help? If not then it is not your palce to "liberate" them.

Moldavi maybe an ass, but if the pacificans choose to support him then that is their call.

You have a point. But why do we discuss it when we can be fixing it?
Apollo you really are missing the point aren't you. To my knowledge you are not a pacifican, and no pacifican has asked you folks for help (unless I missed that). Therefore it is not your place to storm in pretending you know what is best for the pacific. I am not saying I support these changes or like them, but if the pacificans want change then they create it and ask for help themselves, until then we should stay out of it.

After carefully reading the rule changes, there isn't much of a difference that eliminitating a lot of extraneous game-play rules and essentially limiting the level of action a delegate can take. It makes taking a feeder region more difficult, but it also makes holding onto it it equally more difficult. Oh, how the strategy will change, though!

At any rate, I have puppets who are "Powerbrokers" who have no endorsements at all.

Everybody take a step back for a moment.

Good, now let's rewind about 9 months. We were under the delegateship of Pixiedance(IP). We had all sorts of "organizations" entering the region advocating different agendas and potential delegates. It was then that the North Pacific people stood up, put the entire legislative and governmental agenda on hold to set down as fair of rules that they could come up with. We explicitly asked that we not be interfered with.

If (and when) a national group from a region requests the support of our army then we will do as appropriate. Untill then please refrain from jingoistic attempts to organize a group to impose our democracy on them.*

*Individual nations may contact others directly if they wish to organize a personal crusade.

Now now, Apollo has never said he wanted a North Pacific like government in the Pacific. He's speaking strictly in a humanitarian logic, in which whatever the culture or region, all people deserve to be free. Does freedom always mean the government we have? No, democracies expose themselves in different ways. We may not all agree with what he's saying but he has every right to say it under the Constitution. (Article 1, section 2 to be anal)

Alhoma you read my posts right? I advocated that no one rush into TP unless they request help. Which they have not done yet.

Sniffles do you advocate liberating TP or staying out until they ask for help? Just because Apollo disagrees with the situation there does not give him a right to rush in on his shiny white horse no matter how good his intentions are. TP, and the folks there need to decide what they want, and if they want help they will ask for it.

Given the changes to NS, I think it well advised to carefully examine all the implications of those changes before engaging in any policy changes.

I suppose I should post something substantial...

Why is everyone jumping on Apollo-Industria's back? He said what he thinks is right, and there is a certain degree of integrity in following your conscience.

He shouldn't need to cite the Constitution to speak his mind. He should speak his mind because he wants to. (Not to take a shot at you, mr_sniffles.)

A-I has the right to voice his opinion. None of his posts were edited or censored. Others have an equal right to voice their thoughts on the subject as well. Disagreeing with the points he made in no way infringes on his right to make them.
