This topic is for posting reports of which regions have been contacted in reference to the region's 15-line limit on regional advertizements or the NS limit of one ad per region per day.

Please make it clear which region the recruiter was from or was representing, to make record-keeping as easy as possible.

The blank lines are kinda up to you. If it's blank lines that are there and annoying then count them. If it's blank lines where you'd normally put them between paragraphs, then don't count them. It's all subjective anyways. :-P

Just posted a note for and TG'ed Masirsk (representing United Communist Union), Frau Issac (representing Cymru II), and Devastis (F***ing HUGE ad, representing multiple regions).

I'll go update the list...

in this post Namyeknom has already telegramed GRA Recruiters regarding spamming of ads, so I think this would be his second offense and I shall TG him regarding this.

TheRegionalAdvertisers - Regional Imperium

He had something like 17 lines. No big deal so I was pretty polite with him.

Greater Tirana from Non Alligned States.

17 or 18, probably.

Ha! You got Acro Monks? Heh. He's a cool guy.

I am aware this is not quite the same thing... but there was quite a bit of swearing on our HQ today, I asked people to tone it down and the nation of :

The Oppressed Peoples of Bellendaslavia

decided to use it as a springboard of abuse, nation reported to NS Mods and his/ her post deleted.

The Jingoistic States of Team Retalicus for two regions. I telegrammed him.

PS: Shouldn't this post by Namyeknom be merged into this thread so we can keep track of all nations who have been warned about spamming?

Sorry, I might not have made it clear, but the list I put up was any recruiter I'd informed about the regional adverts section, not those I'd warned.

I'd hoped to pro-actively prevent them spaming so much by personally inviting them on, but it doesn't seem to have worked.

However I think everyone after me may have been reporting people they'd warned. Obviously my intent wasn't clear at all. :duh:

Ahhh. I get it now.

And Global Right Alliance has another advert over 15 lines, so since it is their third warning, I have contacted their delegate, saying that if this continues their advert nation may be banned. Please note that they have been warned.

Devastis Recruiter had another one for multiple regions. That puts him on the third strike, so I'm going to send him a telegram, warning him he will be banned if he continues.

EDIT: sent him this TG, a combo of other suggestions plus my own part.

Hello.

You recently posted an ad in The North Pacific for multiple regions.  Our regional World Factbook says ads must be less than 15 lines.  Your ad was well over 40 lines.  According to the regional records, you have been warned twice before.  I would like to ask you to make your ads under 15 lines, or you may be banned from our region.

In order to provide recruiters with an alternative, we have opened up a 'Regional Advertisements' board on our off-site forum, to allow recruiters to place adds without fear of their one a day message being lost. This also provides the advantage of a permanent advert that will not disappear, as well as giving us a list of regions to recommend to new NSers.  This can be found here:
http://s13.invisionfree.com/TNP/index.php?showforum=62.

If you have any questions, please feel free to visit our forum or telegram our delegate, Former English Colony.

Thank you,

...Ator People, Member of TNP's Regional Assembly...

I just sent a TG to Government Recruiters asking him to stop posting long ads. This is his third offense, and previous attempts to contact him had been made through the ambassador, Sajlamot - who I'm pretty sure got the message through.

Since they have an embassy/consulate/thingie with us, I'd rather not request a ban order unless he does it again now that he's had direct contact.

Uhm... scratch that, I think I may have made a mistake on this one...

Yeah, I did. Government is back down to just the one offense, and I've sent an apology to the region's founder.

Bloodmoon Empire had an ad that was 16 lines.

Normally I wouldn't say that was a big deal, but this ad began with

I, however, do not, in any way, shape, or form apologize for spamming, and instead, would like to invite you to deal with it as you live in a feeder region...

So I sent him a warning.

The Imperial Empire of Bloodmoon-Hyperion, the nation who posted that ad for the region I quoted, sent me a TG back. He defended his right to ads at a length of his choosing and said it was not against NS rules. He told me that unless I had 400+ endos, my threat of banning didn't carry much weight.

I explained to him our mission to reclaim our regional message board and I hope he will obey the rules.

I'm posting this so others can watch for this nation who seems to not want to follow the 15 line limit.

The Arab Democratic Community of United arab diplomats for "UNITED ARABIA"

The United Socialist States of Cynical Nation for "The Silent Empire"

The Armed Republic of Naeole for "United Confederacy"

The Dominion of Zephorian Anarchy for "Hyrule"

The Republic of N Irish Recruitment for "N Ireland"

Bengali Narco-State, for Red Wing Headquarters.

I probably wouldn't have bothered, since he was technically ok if you didn't count the spaces, but he stuck this in at the end of his ad:
BTW, nobody cares about the retarded 15-line rule.

I couldn't resist.

Barratry, a recruiter from Piratesm posted like a 25 or 26 long post. That's how much I counted. I'm sending out a regional warning.

I give them a break with the spaces. That's putting a little too much pressure on them.

This is how I do it:

WARNING: You have posted 15+ lines in your recruitment message. Your line was [# of lines long] lines long. Please diminish your recruitment lines to 15 or else I or one of my friends here at the North Pacific will have to issue a second warning.

-TNP Deputy Minister of Justice
Apollo-Industria

I got him too. Of course, in all of my divine ignorance, I forgot to check here before doing so.

Excuse me, sir, but there is a 15 line limit on recruitment messages and you exceeded that by quite some number. If you would, please shorten the ad to fit within the guidelines. I'm sure you would have much more success with a shorter ad as well because, despite how interesting your region may be, nobody really wants to read through such a long advertisement.
