Of all the coastal districts in the Sarine, the 1st is the hardest one for Liberals or Radicals. The intendancy of Vallauris has a strong National base; the area around Calvaire/Mer is the swingiest part of the Sarine. The Liberals were banking on Bordier-Nadège’s star power; it failed. #leChoix2019

Correction to @KyleMdeFlesselles: Guerrière-Verne will not be the youngest member of the National Assembly, that distinction will go to Kévin-Justin Montrésor of Capoterre-1. Both were born in 1997: Guerrière-Verne in September, Montrésor in October. #leChoix2019

Another casualty of the National tide. Of all the Chartreuse districts, Chartreuse-2 is the most Liberal, as it contains the most liberal parts of Gresible city. But the rest of the intendancy of Gresible swung away from the Liberals. Add to that the strong National tilt of the St-Théoffrey part of the district – you get this result. #leChoix2019

Yes, It’s going to be at most “Lean Liberal”. 1st round L+R vote in Haute-Saine-2 is 53%. Depends on how the Greens vote and if the Coalition’s vote holds up in the second round. If there’s a seat there that’s going to be even more nail-biting in the runoff, it’s Haute-Saine-1:

I think this can be explained by a massive late swing of undecided voters for the Nationals. Undecided voters in the last poll was ~15%. If a huge majority of those broke for N, it would have accounted for the vote majority that we saw. We’ll look at the exit polls to confirm that. #leChoix2019
