I cannot speak for the wishes of other potentially future members of High Command, but the way I see it as a member of The North Pacific Army High Command myself, I personally would not have it that you are accepted until at least your Court-ordered sentence is over:

There are other ways for redemption, yes, but I'd have to agree with Bob here in that the starting point for when I'd start to consider accepting your application is when your sentence is over. As for ways of redemption, there are plenty of ways ~ lying low and not doing anything dumb, once you are able to become a citizen again doing that and be a productive citizen once more, things like that.
