Taking the concept from the regular TNP forums and bringing it here. Every day, you can post something here that happened today in your nation's history.

I'll start it off:

January 25:

1000- The war of 1000 ends, with the signing of the three-party agreement between the Imperial Realm, The Rogue Knights of Seggsnet, and the Rogue Knights of Sørnen.

1839- Kristoff Neismann constructs the first working telegraph line in Goyanes, connecting his laboratory in Naderfjord to his home about 2 km away via a line of overhead wire. The message, addressed to his wife, Madeline Neismann, read out "Darling, God hath given man the ability to speak through wire!"

1498-The first Cojedan Constitution is enacted by the Cojedan government. It will have since been revised 12 times.

1992-The Third Cojedan Civil War began.

2005-Mendina Valdez becomes the first female Supreme Court Justice.
 
January 26:

1837: The RS Mount Royal departs Jægerstrom for the first transcontinental voyage of a Goyanean steamship.

1991: The Great Blizzard of 1991 dumps 8 feet of snow in Northern Goyanes, proving the effectiveness of the new Osanhalt building code's requirements of roof egress hatches.
 
January 26th:

322 BCE: Aron Sven Arnsson becomes “Champion of the Consolidation War”, dissolves the Adriennc Republic, forms the Adriennic Empire, and names himself Aron Sven Kejserne, Emperor of the Adriennic Empire.

933 CE: The Ji'koa/Jiisen Dynasty in Skanda takes power after the Skandan Unification Wars, unifying most of modern Skanda and beginning their campaign to unite everything south of the Akitu Mountains.

1981: A fault line near the center of Berkowitzia moves, causing an earthquake reaching 7.5 on the Richter scale, causing 700 deaths.

1896: The Last Stand of Ni?ab (Officially known as the Battle of Ni?ab) occurs in the South Bari Desert during the Maru Revolt of the 1890's, in Fort O??akk?yi, near the small Maru town of Ni?ab. The 47th Maru Infantry of the Royal Andrennian Army, only numbering in the 20's, hold off against tens of thousands of Maru Rebels, leaving hundreds of enemy casualties before they fall. Fort O??akk?yi is later recaptured just three days later by the Royal Andrennian Army. This whole event was recorded via Mru. Pv. Adesh Nambeesan[note]Mru. Pv = Maru Privats, or Maru Private. Maru personnel had "Maru" in front of their ranks.[/note], who communicated with Övs. Johann Sjellvaar[note]Övs. = Överste, an Andrennian rank equivalent to a Colonel.[/note] (in Fort Atu) using a heliograph before fighting his own last stand and falling.

1452 - The annexation of Geldia begins and the once independence regional state is now being threatened by the much larger and more powerful Ninhundish Realm from the east. After two years of conflict and restistance the Geldian and Sinders could not hold off any longer and surrendered to the First Imperial Realm of Ninhundland in 1454.


1856 - Klaudia der Bosch, sister of Emperor Sören der Bosch, marries Raimond Himdach. She is the grandmother of Gerhardt Himdach who took power in the Fascist Revolution of 1912.

1934 - The coldest temperature recorded in Frankthorf, where at the Reichsdagwaffe Airbase (now a private terminal in Frankthorf Eiselmann Airport) the mercury read -36.9°C (-34.4°F) at 03:20 local time. The wind chill is believed to be at least -46°C (-50°F). While colder temperatures may have happened in the past, they weren’t recorded down and there’s no way of knowing the accuracy of measurements before 1890.

1575- Godrik the Great of Esplandia is born to Irwin I and Elaena Ingahaem. Godrik will go on to be the most celebrated King in Esplandian history, doubling the size of his kingdom during his reign and founding the Landesgrad (Esplandia's parliamentary body).

Ascalon: 939 AD- The first Emperor of Kai Shen, Kai Shen Ming is crowned, starting a 400 year period of oppressive, tyrannical rule.

Goyanes: 1967 AD- Johan Granger is executed by hanging for the attempt on the life of Empress Anastasia, Grand Emperor Natan III's wife, which he committed three years earlier.

2007 AD: Grand Emperor Anthony I and his wife, Empress Claire announce publicly that their upcoming child, Princess Michelle, is a Girl. They also announce they will not be having any more children, and petition the Landesdag to alter the supreme law to allow for neutral primogeniture.
 
January 28:

1891: Johan Vanderkrieg is born, who would later become supreme commander of the Goyanean forces during the Fascist Wars.
 
January 28, 1457: The Buzzantine Empire, its troops preoccupied from late the previous year with quelling the Hundred Years' Wimpy Slap Fight in the province of Berucopia (as Berukhah was then called), falls to the Automatic Empire. Berucopia is thus renamed Al-Berukhalus.

2003: Suicide bomber kills 7 people (including himself) and injures 16 in Frösthafen.

1530: High King Egide I takes the throne, and through the course of his rule enacted policies, edicts and purges that birthed the Greater Norsian regime. a brutal Tyrannical Regime that would reign for 500 years. both bringing progress and darkness to Norsia. Until Queen Alycia would perform her coup in 2017.

1998: As a major insult to the regime and the Rochette family, the Red Laurel Rebellion committed to all out open war in western Nors, on the day High King Egide I was coronated.

January 29:

1844: Prime Minister Sebastian Kramer authorizes the first use of Imperial troops to suppress a labor dispute. The Hirendag Mill Strike resulted in major losses of property and multiple deaths after the owners of the Hirendag Central Textile Mill banned the drinking of alcohol within the company-provided housing barracks.

2007: The Liberal Democratic Party erupts in scandal after the LDP-member Premier of Fennmark, Kristian Normeyer is found guilty of bribery in office and the alleged solicitation of personal benefit in exchange for an appointment to the Landesdag as a replacement for the recently assassinated MP Natalia Hinnings.

2014: A man is arrested after attempting to swim across the Mydfjord to enter Tageskiele Palace.
 
January 30:

1916: Værkringe Automobiler Verken (VA) is founded in Fanorstad, Hejen. It would later become Goyanes' largest automaker and a notable tank producer in the Fascist Wars.

1979: Gojan Nordnet flight 788 disappears over the Araethi Ocean en route to Pataliputra, Syrixia, only 35 minutes after takeoff from Hofsvægr. The airplane and its passengers have never been located.

2003: The Gojannesstad Stock Exchange merges with the Naderfjord Stock Exchange to form Nyhett General Exchange Group Slk., the largest stock exchange by market capitalization in Goyanes, with a market cap of 5.974 trillion NSD.

1996-Founding of the Cojedan Front For Victory. Party is originally led by Evita Arias, who would become President and Life Member of the Senate.

2012-Stock Market hits its highest ever, with 3 closing above 22,000 for the first time.

1998: Great Icestorm of the decade began. Many coastal regions were effected by over 20mm or freezing rain and ice. Thousands lost power for days and it was the first time in a while Frankthorf had to call a state of emergency due to weather as many major cities were stuck in thick ice and almost shutdown for a few days.

2014: Gerudo provincial referendum to give the provincial government more freedom.
68% Keep things the same.

25% Elect a new provincial leader and have more autonomy from the Federal Government.

7% Reduce provincial power and have more Federal control.

Other provincial government soon followed and kept their limited governance under the Federal Government.

Goyanes:

1902- The Søkony General Oil Co. monopoly is broken up by the government under the provisions laid out by the Imperial Antitrust Act of 1898. This split the company into its 6 smaller regional offices to operate as independent companies.

Goyanes & Ascalon:

1953- Goyanes detonates its first Hydrogen bomb, making a great advance in it's mass weapons program and the future deterrent program of the Imperial Goyanean Federation. The explosion instantly vaporized the tiny island off the coast of Ascalon that it was tested on.
 
1 February-

1476-The National Assembly of Cojedes votes to go to war against the Ninhundish and Andrennians after they claim large portions of land in the south. (OOC: Yes, both Ninhunland and Andrenne are aware of this.)

1605-The University of Rosario is opened in the modern-day capital.

1670-Ether was used for the first time in Cojedan medical history.

1918-Universal Suffrage goes into effect. Women vote for the first time in 1920.

1921-The Museo de Historia Nacional (Museum of National History) opens in Heravion. Over its 97 years of operation, it has held over 4,000 events and 32,000 exhibits.

1888- The Hysende Dictionary of Gojan, the definitive and classic Gojan dictionary, is published by the University of Hysende for the first time.

1980- Chainsaw serial killer Norman Heller kills 3 people in a forest outside Asturenn, Kongsland.

Ascalon:

1970: Erik Shan-Yin is born in Long'shi, Ascalon, the site of the Fascist War battle of the same name.
 
604 BC: A Deadly Plague hits Frabulu, an city from the ancient Balmoans, killing more than 80,000 people, more than 3/4ths of the cities' population.
 
February 2nd

869: The first Duke of Kalgary, Kalga Surguard, dies. His right-hand man and successor, Magnus Kanad, begins the Kanad royal family.

1918: Kanada begins conscription of troops for the Provocation War.

1923: One of the coldest temperatures recorded in Kanadian history occurs, at -50.2 Celcius at Fort Braose.
 
February 2nd, 1866

10th Prince René is murdered by his son Julien at the age of 50, with Julien's impatience in wanting to ascend to the throne being cited as the motive for the killing.

With no legal retaliatory measures available, and since Julien would immediately ascend to the throne upon his father's death and thus become immune to prosecution, Julien would rule The Principality of Sil Dorsett for four years before succumbing to illness and leaving the throne to his sister Liselle.

Upon her ascension in 1870, Liselle would promptly issue a Royal Decree that no one in the line of succession who commits regicide would remain eligible to ascend to or sit the throne. To this day, regicide is the only crime in which a sitting monarch can technically be tried, convicted of, and removed for. However, since the decree has never been utilized, and thanks in part to vague language in the decree, the question of who would enforce it has yet to be determined.

25 May CE 1994

The Imperial Reichstag [note]Parliament[/note] passes the Imperial Judiciary Reform Act 1994. This act reorganized the structure of the judicial branches of the Cimmerian government. It decreased the number of justices in the Imperial High Court from 16 to 8, as well as to remove the function of the Speaker of the Senat[note]Senate[/note] from the office of the Lord President of the High Court, effectively remove their ability to act as both a government minister and a judge. The reform was motivated by concerns that a judicial officer who has legislative or executive power may not be sufficiently impartial to provide a fair trial.
 
February 3:

2013: After the death of Imperial Supreme Court (ISC) Chief Justice Norbert Jordhammar, Jon Norberg appoints the first non-Nordic ISC Chief Justice in Goyanean history. His appointee, Juan Carlos Gutierrez, is a man of Cojedan descent, and although Justices are not allowed to be political party members, he is believed to be a member of the right wing due to previous rulings he has made as a Imperial Federal Judge.

Chief Justice Gutierrez emigrated to Goyanes at the age of 13 with his parents and older sister. He graduated from the law school at Kongsland A&M, and after working for 22 years at Halbert & Kennington Legal Associates in Asturenn, Kongsland, he was appointed to the Imperial Federal Judge of the Northeastern Circuit in 2007.

Chief Justice Gutierrez is a member of the National Cojedan-Goyanean Association, and actively participates in cultural activities with his fellow countrymen. He married his wife, Natalia Normeyer-Menendez in 2000, and has three children.

1287 - Realm of Gerudo founded under the rule of Falger Hildegang through a series of conquests in Western Ninhundland.

1643 - Plague kills thousands across Frankthorf and Frösthafen.
 
6 February-

1972-The First Copa Cojedes is held in Heravion. 45,000 people attend the game, which ends with the Heravion Jaguars winning.

1998-The first series of renovations on the National Stadium in Corrientes begins. Since, there have been 2 more sets of renovations. The modern stadium can seat a grand total of 115,000 people.
 
February 6th, 1942

Prince Henry “Prinz Andrensk” Oslo Lukas Kjellse-Tages the Liberator goes public with his rebellion, in an attempt to restore the Kjellners to power under a new constitutional monarchy. He gains many followers after this move, and this is the day when the Andrennian Civil War is officially declared. Henry makes a speech, stating at the end of this speech,

“I fight today and into the forseeable future, for my people, for liberty, for justice, for unity, and for equality- But I do not fight alone! The sons and daughters of true Andrennians fight with me! Forwards we’ll march! Down with the Imperyk! Down with Nyström! Long may the true Andrenne, it’s citizens, and those who fight for it prosper!”

At the time of the speech, Henry was only 23 years old. Henry would not only successfully aid the allies in defeating the Second Imperyk, but would go on to be considered one of the greatest leaders of all of Andrennian history. He would die in 2011 due to a stroke suffered in his sleep. He was regarded as a genius tactician and politician.

1942: Grand Emperor Natan II issues an Imperial Decree stating that the Imperial Goyanean Federation no longer recognizes the sovereignty of the Imperyk, and declares open support for the Andrennian Rebellion Movement.

1997: Verseiken.gj, Goyanes' first widespread search engine, and still the most popular in Goyanes today, is founded by Johan Samuel and Katharine Leibing in the basement floor of their college home in Dagenfjord, Sørnen.
 
February 6

1944: King Radu II declares war on Duke Mirek Solkavic of Vesticlungrod after a three month standoff over territories claimed by the Arrandalian crown breaking the Treaty of Stejarpunt. The war will divert troops away from the Cogorian Front and causes a divide between Radu and his son Mirek. The war doesn't come to an end until after the King's assassination in 1947.
 
February 7th:

1798: Draconics is founded as the name of the island itself due to there being more population of dragons than most species.

1828: The first government is formed as the Absolute Monarchy of Dragons

1867: Draconics gets an official flag (same as now but the tree is a golden crown) and there is a search as to where the highest point is in Draconics to plant the flag.

1926: The Civil war of Draconics officially begins with the Liberators League and The Constitutional Monarchy of Draconics.

1931: The Liberators League is driven off the island. Rumors run around a bit that the rebels went to the mainland of Eras.

1994: Arobol dragonking passes to old age. The entire nation seems to fall silent for the entire day.

2016: February 7th is called Draconicsian historical day in Draconics, due to its founding and intense history all in this one day.
 
7 February:

1953-the Ministries of Urban Development & Health and Human Services are devolved into two separate ministries. Since 1953, they have been working to modernize the nation and the health industries, while still promoting rural farming and businesses.

1984-Antonio Suarez becomes President of Cojedes. Until his assassination in 1990, the nation had 6 straight years of economic growth, with only one negative quarter.

1999-Peace Negotiations begin between the Socialist and the Conservative/Liberal Coalition to end the Third Civil War.

2002-Caleb Fernandez becomes President of Cojedes, the first to have never partaken in the Federal Government prior to election.

2006-The Santiago del Estero Project, sponsored by President Caleb Fernandez while Governor of the Province, is completed. The project cost 14,7 billion pesos and saw the province switch to 30% natural energy, with 5% of the energy fields located in the Estero Mountains.

2010-Nestor Estávez becomes President of Cojedes, establishing 7 February as the inauguration date for future Presidents.
 
February 8th, 1981

Organizers for the Silien Auto Racing Association (the predecessor to the Silien Racing Series) had expanded the series calendar to ten races, up from nine, inserting a race in February at Chassion Motorsports Park. February 8th was when the additional race was held. Unfortunately, overnight between qualifying and the race itself, three inches of snow fell upon the track and was followed by sleet and freezing rain all the way to race time.

Uncomfortable with the conditions, the drivers asked for an ordinary road car to lead the field at a slower pace for a few laps to gauge the conditions against the capabilities of the race cars. However, with the track being inadequately cleared of snow, slush and ice, even the road car had trouble maintaining traction. The field completed two laps before the red flag was thrown and the race was abandoned, with Éric Blondeau earning 5 points (half of the normal 10 for a win at the time) for essentially setting the fastest lap during qualifying but also for not spinning his car out during the two slow laps behind the road car.

The events of that race lead to both a limited number of studded tyres being made available by tyre manufacturers in later years and a rule change that allowed the postponement of an event to a later day should conditions be totally unsuitable for racing, as long as no more than two laps were already completed. Additionally, in 1992, when the Safety Car was officially introduced, historians recalled the events of the February 1981 race and officially recorded the February race at Chassion as the first time the Safety Car was deployed.
 
February 8th:

1829: The name of government is changed to include the entire Island. Now the Absolute Monarchy of the island of Draconics.

1854: The North Island is found and claimed by the government through exploration. Only feral dragons are found on this island and a couple more plant species.

1859: The name of the government undergoes the final change to become "The Constitutional monarchy of Draconics".

1890:Arobol Dragonking finally has a Queen to rule next to him.
 
February 9th:

1858: Arobol Dragonking changes the government into a constitutional Monarchy and the constitution of Draconics is written

1868: The flag of Draconics is risen over the Grand Castle of Draconics and the castle gets an official day dedicated to itself

1924:Tensions in Draconics rise due to cited problems in the constitution and the monarch's recent decisions. The first bad riots Draconics has ever seen begins.

1952: The flag of Draconics is changed to it's current flag and raised on top of the Grand Castle of Draconics.

1984: The Queen of Draconics passes to old age
