Does he really have to be called Modi?Syrixia:Note before I post my debate post in Syrixian Elections, Syrixia isn't joining the SPP until after Modi gets elected. It'll be his first act.
Why not? I always wanted to have one that looked like Modi. Indian here, we all love the guy.Kannex:Does he really have to be called Modi?Syrixia:Note before I post my debate post in Syrixian Elections, Syrixia isn't joining the SPP until after Modi gets elected. It'll be his first act.
Syrixian nationalist sounds like an oxymoron...Syrixia:Why not? I always wanted to have one that looked like Modi. EDIT: Just be thankful he doesn't have Modi's IRL political beliefs. They'd do much worse here than they're doing IRL.
I'm going to pose some questions tomorrow, but really, you could begin with some fairly basic topics -- economy, jobs, etc. I have no idea who these people are and what they stand for, other than one of them is a RL HinduSyrixia:I don't want to be yelled at by Queen Guinea Pig again
now ask my candidates some questions damnit
Nightsong:@Syrixia ... Sorry, not sorry for the scathing post. Also, I'll gladly join Queen Guinea Pig in condemning you when your nationalism runs rampant and stirs up trouble...
I plan to.Kannex:I'm going to pose some questions tomorrow, but really, you could begin with some fairly basic topics -- economy, jobs, etc. I have no idea who these people are and what they stand for, other than one of them is a RL Hindufascistnationalist.
I know. I was just quoting that one line for those who might not be familiar with it.Ceretis:We do understand the political position that your nation has and seeks to maintain.
Yes, crystal clear.Ceretis:We do understand the political position that your nation has and seeks to maintain.
Nah, we can't prohibit the S.P.P. from anything, not even crack.Syrixia:Question- I looked up NATO's PFP today and I think I mostly understand the concept. If I were to join the SPP, would Syrixia be prohibited from going to war? If Trillium ever goes to war and Syrixia is in the SPP it is more than likely that Syrixia would want to join in, as their end goal is full membership.

Cogoria:Cogoria wholeheartedly supports any military action against Syrixia. As the old Cogorian folk saying goes "Hey if it ain't me, why should I care who that old woman murders in her basement"
I haven't read much on the Pelhafor thread today. Has Trillium declared war or something?!Cogoria:Cogoria wholeheartedly supports any military action against Syrixia. As the old Cogorian folk saying goes "Hey if it ain't me, why should I care who that old woman murders in her basement"
Uh, the Alliance officially condemned Cogoria's action in Pelhafor. My nation's are sitting on the sideline with negotiators and Peacekeepers watching to see what happens. Oh and the smallest spark could set off yet another war.Syrixia:I haven't read much on the Pelhafor thread today. Syrixia is not excited for a possible war.Nightsong:Uh, the Alliance officially condemned Cogoria's action in Pelhafor. NEVER MIND.Nightsong:...considering Nebula feels like getting himself involved.
If only it were that easy to get Cogoria and Nebula to stand down and be peaceful instead of warmongering, nuke happy nations...Syrixia:NEVER MIND.Nightsong:...considering Nebula feels like getting himself involved.
whaaaaaa?Cogoria:I dont have nukes
Most nations in the real world don't have nukes - in theory, most TNPers wouldn't have either the technology (like Australia, or Canada), or the resources (Nazi Germany, or modern Japan), to maintain a nuclear program. Others might be bound to maintain a much decreased nuclear program because of historic agreements and geostrategic concerns - START, for the USSR/Russia & the USA - or because of domestic politics, like modern Japan, and South Africa.Syrixia:whaaaaaa?Cogoria:I dont have nukes

On the flip side, many nations that /do/ have the nuke might not be who you think they are - Pakistan, Israel, North Korea, and formerly South Africa are all extraordinarily odd nuclear powers. These are mostly due to agreements with standing nuclear powers - nuclear weapons have been invented, at best, twice, and probably only once. Virtually every nation derived their nuclear capabilities from the work done in the Manhattan Project based on British mathematics, German physics, and American (&, soon after, Soviet) manufacturing.
Imperium, for instance, has invented nuclear weaponry, but has a standing bilateral total disarmament treaty with my NPC nation, Alainn, with mutual observational clauses that are ICly generally taken to be pretty airtight by commentators.
