Around 400 AD, indigenous hunter-gatherers in what is now Syrixia began to start building civilizations. Eventually the area looked something like some sort of a "merchant's confederacy" as it became an important bastion for entrepreneurship and trade. This confederacy was known as Demhakar. Demhakar was very idyllic and peaceful and soon others from across the region and even the world began flocking to Demhakar for vacations or simply to set up trading posts. By 800 AD, Demhakar was well known among entrepreneurs and traders, and the region grew rich. However the two richest merchants, Miejalandra Yato and Tasazoq Hegaj, built up their influence so quickly that soon the whole of Demhakar was mired in a civil war between the two ancient moguls. The war raged for ten years and no one had the edge. Eventually, Demhakar collapsed.
Because of this sudden anarchy, the wealth, and a man named Alfred Odi wanted to exploit this new anarchy to set up a kingdom so he could claim the wealth. He slowly won the loyalty of the former Demhakaris and in 1220 AD the Kingdom of Melletonia was formed. Now known as King Alfred I, he expanded the Kingdom immensely as well as his authority over the other non-Demhakari (now Melletonian) peoples he conquered along the way. He thus had a legitimate claim to the wealth of Demhakar, and after he rose to power that claim became completely uncontested. Thus, agents of Alfred seized the wealth their King wanted and brought it before him. Alfred distributed the wealth evenly and was generally a benevolent king. His legacy and the nation of Syrixia itself is still celebrated today via the holiday of Uthvaq Shanar, or "Unity Celebration" in English.
Between February 23rd and March 1st, the Most Serene Republic of Syrixia shall be celebrating Uthvaq Shanar. All nations are invited to attend the celebration; it is happening all over Syrixia. Enjoy utter relaxation in this resort in scenic Akanalfia Province. Guests here have a private butler assigned to their room who also works as a masseuse. The resort also has a pool bar and serves the best cocktails Syrixia has ever seen. Yahara Resort truly brings a whole new meaning to Syrixia's title of "Most Serene Republic".
This resort definitely deserves its name. With a gorgeous ocean view and an iconic spot in the great capital city of Balamb, this resort is Syrixia's premier resort. The resort has a world-class pool and its suites are beyond famous. For this reason it can be quite packed, but the resort more than makes up for that with the aforementioned amenities plus an elite team of busboys, maids, cooks, etc.
This ultramodern resort was recently built off the coast of the old city of Miraca, in Melgaeta Province. The resort is packed with state-of-the-art technology everywhere you look, plus it's underwater! Guests here can view the fishes swim by and fall asleep to the soothing sounds of the water. The hotel can be accessed via a small building on the coastal area of the city, but besides that the entire hotel is underwater.
We hope to see lots of people from across the region here soon to celebrate Uthvaq Shanar with us!
Sincerely,
Shaw Atlas
Minister of Foreign Affairs and Culture
