This is ironic. I visited this forum for the express purpose of sharing some historical data I just unearthed (also known as "blowing your own horn") and hey look! I don't even need to make a new topic.
I already know when my first nation ever was founded (December 29, 2003), and my more recent puppets ("recent" refers to 2005, in case you were curious) because their welcome telegrams still exist. Ermarian and other old nations have lost their TGs, though, and in 2006 I let ALL of my nations lapse and zero their founded date.
Well, I keep and archive long-term keylogs on all my computers since 2003. So it's not like I can't find this stuff out (which is one of the reasons I keep them in the first place; I'm a self-obsessed history nut).
My first nation, Parth, was founded 2003-12-29, roughly 21:34-21:41 local time. Incidentally, the first name I tried before Parth was "Tau", being rather a Warhammer 40,000 initiate at the time. I still have some of my figures, and they still aren't painted.
Ermarian was the third nation I founded, and I created it on 2004-01-11 19:57-20:01.
After that it was quiet for half a year, before I founded the next one in 2004-06-08 12:31. Strange story there - some evidence suggests I founded a similarly-named nation in January, but never logged in. I wonder if I let it lapse and later refounded instead of reviving. Mh... maybe I'll ask the mods for a revival and see if I can log in. That would be the longest a nation has ever been dead: 5 years, rather precisely to a day.
I'd try to pin down the other 17 creation dates (yes, I've been
busy making these nations over the past five years!), but it is tricky work getting the right search strings. Because reading through the log from start to finish, I just get stuck and sidetracked somewhere in nostalgia-land.
Anyway, Ermarian was created in 2004, but my first nation was created two weeks previously and so I entered 2003 on grounds of Technicality and Boast.
Next up for the imperial archeologists to answer: Where I spent my days before joining TNP. Because I'm not a TNP member from birth. Or I might be - the odds are one in five, after all. I joined TNP and its politics by choice, though, around the time of Moldavi in March 2005.
