an amazing album in its own right, Velvet Underground comparisons aside, any band that can bring New York underground into the mainstream should be applauded.

Also Elliott Smith is my god! I recommend this to anyone who likes Bright Eyes, but in small amounts at first. His bleakness could cause you to harm yourself and others.
