What Song Are You Currently Listening To?

How Do You Love? - Collective Soul

There once was love thrown into your room
But you never knew
A calendar of days just for you
But you never knew, never knew no
And the truth that you'll find will always be
The truth you hide

So how do you love, how do you love
When your angels can't sing, and your world is still
Lacking of me

II Dies Irae - Dies Irae ~ Solti Vienna Philharmonic

Verdi's requiem is awesome, and this is a rousing score. Definitely music for the end of the world. As the dolphins rise from the sea and the nuclear weapons they strategically launched come raining down upon our cities...all to the clash of drums and a chorus on steroids.

What To Do - OK GO

Come on in, sweetie-pie! Have an apple, have some lye...
Leave your friends, righteous and pathetic, standing at the door.
On the books, all your bets favor head-bands and cassettes,
cigarettes, suffragettes, and bores.

What to do?
Sweetheart, you'll find mediocre people do exceptional things all
the time.
Oh, the ruin will do in your talented mind...
could've been a genius if you'd had an axe to grind.

Return - OK GO

Now its years since your body went flat and even memories of that
are all THICK and dull, all gravel and glass. But who needs them
now -- displaced they're easily more safe --
the worst of it now: I can't remember your face.

Return.

For a while, with the vertigo cured, we were alive -- we were pure.
The void took the shape of all that you were, but years take their toll,
and things get bent into shape...
Antiseptic and tired, I can't remember your face.

Return.

You were supposed to grow old. Reckless, unfrightened, and old,
you were supposed to grow old.

Return. You were supposed to return.

Thing song makes me saddish.

Shortly Before The End - OK GO

How long did we all think this all would last?
Who could have counted days as they flew past?
But before we go, sing us a song.
Sing us a song to hum through the hours of dying.

Who would have though it'd come as such a show?
A pink and silver day... who was to know?
Even as we go, sing us a song.
Sing us a song, to hum through the hours of dying.

^ Makes me wonder if there's a band named after the video game. Anybody heard of the Minibosses?

"Better Living Through Chemistry" - QOTSA

...and Guided By Voices are total fucking cool!!!!

ummm, more Low ~ Taking Down The Tree off the Christmas album (errr, Nova - you're a month or so too late...)

Same here, though it's some weirdness on the SciFi channel.

*notes to Virtual Boy that she is going to see NIN next weekend* :worship:

edit: and to IndieGirl that Low is coming through Iowa City again on Wednesday.

I also love GBV. :tb2:
