Russian Invasion of Ukraine - Day 35
Aircraft losses 30 March 2022
Ukrainian Air Force: A Ukrainian Su-24 bomber was recorded damaged with a trail of smoke in Rivne. The same day two pilots of the 7th Aviation Brigade Maxim Sikalenko and navigator Konstantin Gorodnichev were reported dead.
Ukrainian Air Force: A UJ-22 Airborne drone was reported shot down by Russian Pantsir S1 air defences.
Russian Air Force: A Russian Mil Mi-8 with registration number RF-91882 was destroyed in the ground in Kharkiv.

On March 30, the Russian military announced that in the Tumen region of the Rivne region near the Ukrainian-Belarusian border, a Su-24 of the Ukrainian Air Force was shot down during an air battle.
In principle, it can be assumed that it was a Su-24MR conducting reconnaissance of the adjacent territory.
Indeed, on this day, the 7th BrTA lost one aircraft along with the crew.
Major Konstantin Gorodnichev and Colonel Maxim Sikalenko, deputy commander of the air brigade, were killed.
Both were posthumously awarded the Order of Courage, 3rd class.
