Our top story this evening, the University of Cojedes announced today that it would begin offering classes that would be taught in Mercanti, Andrennian, and Gojan. The announcement comes after a non-binding resolution was passed by the Teacher's Union of Cojedes that requests that the schools begin teaching in this manner to prepare students for the future. A spokesman for the University said, "It will better prepare students for the future, especially when they are dealing with people who are not native Cojedan speakers. The schools that will teach classes in these languages will only be in the south of Cojedes to begin with and will eventually work its way up to all the schools. Medical schools involved with the University will be the first to teach in several languages as they will be the main people who are dealing with non-natives in Cojedes." The TUC announced that it was pleased that a school was accepting their resolution and will begin to using the international languages that are important to Cojedes.

A government survey that was released after the graduation ceremonies across the nation reported that the number of medical graduates had increased. In total, over 100,000 students from all of the medical fields, whether as a Doctor, Physician's Assistant, Nurse, or any occupation, graduated and will be entering the work force. Of those 100,000 graduates, nearly 12,8% were already in the medical workforce and went back to receive a degree even higher than the one they already have. President Berrocal released a statement after the survey was revealed and said, "I am very pleased to see the release of this new survey and I am very excited to see that more people are entering our medical workforce or have attained even higher education while working in the medical field. I applaud all of their efforts and wish them the continued best." In the same survey, they were asked if they approved of the current government and specifically the current President. The report stated that 86,500, or 86,5% of the graduated approved of the government, while 8% did not, and the remaining were uncertain or did not respond.

In other news, former President Antonio Suarez announced this morning that he was coming out of retirement to run for election as Governor of San Juan Province, of which he is a native. The former President, who is now in his upper 70's, made the announcement following a poll that stated that he would potentially win the election if he chose to run. The National Conservative Union announced earlier that it was declaring him as their candidate for the election and that they would be giving him the campaign support that is needed. If elected, Suarez would be the first conservative governor of San Juan Province since his term as governor nearly 5 decades ago. He has been endorsed by current President Berrocal, along with former Preisdent's Caleb Fernandez and Nestor Estávez and current Vice President Sebastian Rega. The election will be held in early July with the governor being sworn in by August 15th after the results are certified.

The results of the House of Representatives Speaker Election were revealed earlier today and current speaker Catalina Jose Maria Estavez has been re-elected as Speaker. The vote, which took place yesterday, ended with 312 members voting in favor of Catalina, while 52 members, the majority of whom were Independents and Minority members, voted in favor of Luis Berganza. After the results were announced, the President re-swore in the Speaker before the entire National Assembly. Luis Berganza, the opposition candidate, congratulated Catalina and told members that he was just happy to have been nominated. "It was such an honor for me to be nominated and to receive the number of votes I did.

Our final story, all patients who have been reported to have influenza in Heravion have been transported to the University of Heravion Hospital to tackle the underlying issues that the people have. The move was reported to be demanded by several people and the doctors at the general hospitals had no right but to comply with the patients request under the "Heravion Patient's Rights Act". Since the outbreak began, there has been no further report of civilians or military being infected in Heravion, while there have also not been any more in the city of Rosario. The University of Heravion stated that they will give treatment as best they can and they have reached out to Anastasia Berrocal MD, the mother of the President, for help in guaranteeing the treatment can be given.

Our top story this afternoon, the RCN Santa Cruz*, the nations only amphibious assault ship, has been deployed as part of the May 2018 Naval exercises. This is the first time since the hurricane that hit the Santa Cruz Province that the ship has been deployed. The ship, which has just undergone refitting, was deployed alongside the RCN Santiago*, RCN Cojedes*, both of which are destroyers, and 2 Intrépida Class Fast Attack Craft. The Navy reported that of the 40,750 members of the Navy, and roughly 5,000 members of the Coast Guard, that about 22,980 have been deployed as part of the naval exercises. Several of the Almirtante-Class Patrol Boats had been deployed by the Coast Guard for training. The government announced that the RCN Santa Cruz, the RCN Santiago, the RCN Cojedes, along with several other ships, including 2 submarines and 2 of the Intrépida Class Fast Attack Craft will be assigned to a new special Naval Group, known as Naval Group North. The government stated that by 2020 that they will have added 2 more submarines and potentially the RCN Libertad, a helicopter carrier that is suppose to be deployed in a matter of weeks in the Naesser.

President Juan Andrés Berrocal awarded three Hero of the Republic of Cojedes medals today to three nurses who have worked in their field for over 45 years. Claudia Varela an Emergency Department Nurse; Alejandra Dengra, an Oncology nurse at the University of Rosario Hospital; and Mercedes Carvallo, an OR Nurse, were all awarded for their service in the medical field. Caludia, who works at Heravion General Hospital, has been a nurse for 52 years and once treated soldiers in the Cojedan Rebels during the Socialist Civil War and once treated former President Evita Arias while she was hospitalized in Heravion. Alejandra, who has been a nurse for 49 years, has been involved in the treatment of over 3,250 patients. Mercedes Carvallo, an OR nurse for 46 years, has been involved in the surgeries of several politicians and even has been involved in working with the military during surgeries they have preformed. The President stated, "The amount of respect that I have for nurses and medical professionals can not be compared to anyone else. Coming from a medical family, I know how hard it is for medical professionals to work day in and day out, usually without having a break whatsoever. I congratulate these three women for their service and wish them the continued best."

Our top story this afternoon, the government announced this morning that the RCN Libertad*, the latest carrier of the Cojedan Navy, will be officially commissioned and deployed on July 1st. The government stated that they had chosen this date due to it coinciding with Fatherland Day, the day of commemoration of soldiers who fought during the War of Independence. The ship, which is able to carry Search and Rescue and Anti-submarine helicopters, along with Fixed wing aircraft such as the CAF-13/78, was reported to cost 1.5 billion Cojedan pesos, which was paid over the course of five years, and was built by Tempest Shipyard, the second largest ship building company in Cojedes. The government announced that it will be deployed in the East Sea, the common name in Cojedes for the Naesser, after a ceremony in the city of Santa Fe de la Vera Cruz. The government as well reported that it will be the last carrier for the next 15 to 25 years so that the navy can focus on other ships, such as the Destroyer Program, which is part of the Naval Project 2025.

President Berrocal was in the Province of San Luis today to meet with workers from the Silver Motors Company, the large automobile company in Cojedes. The President, who is traveling to the border to meet with border guards and discuss with them how to counter potential illegal activities near the border, made an unexpected stop to the San Luis Factory. The President was able to meet with workers and even the CFO of the company. Several people told our reporters that they were excited to have been able to meet the President and felt it was an honor for him to be there. While there, the President was given a tour of the facility and was even allowed to test drive one of their newest trucks. This is the second impromptu visit that the President has made, the first being to the Aura Defense Industries, the primary manufacturer of tanks, guns, and other land vehicles in Cojedes. The President did speak with the CFO about potential future cooperation between Silver Motors Company and Aura Defense Industries, but both stated that it would be later in the future before this could happen.

Our top story this afternoon, while the Navy and Coast Guard were training earlier throughout the joint drills, a distress call was sent out by a group of fishermen whose boats had been attack but what is assumed to be a whale or even a shark. Originally thought to best a test, the RCCG Clorinda and the RCCG Agnaco, an Almirante Chicote Class Patrol Boat and a Gloria Rodriguez Class Patrol boat respectively, deployed to the zone and soon found that the distress call was in fact real and immediately sprung into action. Lieutenant Sebastian Illescas, a member of the Coast Guard who works on the RCCG Clorinda, dove into the water and was able to pull two of the men to safety. The RCCG Agnaco pulled in close to the boats and were able to rescue the others. Sailors on both ships checked the fishermen for any injuries, of which three were found to have certain injuries, ranging from a sprain to a broken arm. Chief of Staff of the Cojedan Coast Guard Admiral Alejandro Coronil announced that the Coast Guard would be on tighter watch during the training and that Lieutenant Illescas would receive an award for bravery.

Also in regards to the trials, two of the newest Cojedan ships have been training quite hard with the navy over the past few days. The RCN La Cruz and the RCN Vicealmirante Matias Aguinaldo, both of which are Corrientes-class destroyers, have been undergoing trials for the past several months and were granted special permission to deploy to train with the rest of the Cojedan Navy in the drills that are going on right now. The two ships, which were built over the course of three years, have yet to be assigned a Captain but it is believed that the latter of the two will be captained by a Vicealmirante. Both ships will be officially commissioned in a special ceremony tomorrow as the Navy has approved of them being prepared to deploy. The President will attend the ceremony as is tradition. An important note is that these are not the only ships being commissioned this year, as we await the commissioning of the RCN Libertad and several others ships across different types and classes.

Silver Defense Aviation Group, the largest manufacturer of helicopters, bombers, and fighters, announced today that it had completed the order of the CAF-38's for the RCN Libertad and for the RCN Santa Cruz. CEO Juan Morillo announced that the CAF-38's were delivered to the Navy in the early hours of the day after several weeks worth of training with the Cojedan Naval Aviation Task Force. In the same announcement, the CEO stated that they had also completed the order of search and rescue helicopters for the RCN Santa Cruz, which includes the SDAG 47 and the SDAG 83. When asked about the total cost of the units, the CEO stated that that information belonged solely to the government. Vice President Sebastian Rega responded to the same question by stating that the cost was roughly 3 billion pesos for all the planes and helicopters and that it was, like most other military purchases, paid over time. The CEO concluded his statement by saying that they would continue to work on other planes and helicopters for the Navy and Air Force and that they were already working towards completing two orders, which will be fulfilled in 2019.

In other news, reports from Heravion and Rosario indicate that the outbreak of influenza is being contained. The recent report stated that the number of flu cases were dropping and that those being treated were already seeing massive results. The University of Rosario has sent 22 doctors from their hospital to the Rosario General Hospital, where most patients in the area are at. The doctors have tried several different methods, including the use of the drug Amantadine, the most common and most recommended anti-viral drug for influenza. The government has stated that there is no need to be alarmed and that they will be working with MedCojedes and PharmaCojedes to get more prescriptions of the drug and the Center of Disease Prevention and Control and the Department of Health announced that they will begin sending out Rimatadine and Zanamivir. Vice President Sebastian Rega has visited patients in both Heravion and Rosario and has wished them all the best of luck in their recovery.

Our top story this evening, the Secretary of Internal Affairs, Malena Atenas announced earlier that the government will be spending a total of 438.5 million dollars over the course of the next 3 years to make a purchase of new patrol boats. The cost will cover the procurement of 5 Almirante Chicote Class Patrol Boats and 2 Gloria Rodriguez Class Patrol Boats. The order of the ships comes after the Coast Guard came to the realization that there are far fewer patrol vessels in the Naesser Sea compared to the other waters around Cojedes. The Secretary, who is the third highest ranking political official in the Coast Guard, stated that the request for more ships came from President Berrocal who reportedly told her that we needed to ensure the safety of not only Cojedans, but people of other nationalities who are in the area and get harmed in some way, whether by a fishing incident or even a storm. The ships will be built over the course of 3 years and will be built in Santa Fe de la Vera Cruz, Heravion, Santa Cruz, and Rosario. The Coast Guard currently has a total of 15 patrol vessels with 10 being built (3 being nearly completed).

Lights, Camera, Action. That was the saying tonight as the Regional Selection for the City of Rosario took place tonight. Several familiar faces were seen tonight, including Nico Cambiero, Valeria Ocampo, Asunción Xirau, and Juan Tasis. The contest, which features one semi-final and a grand final, took place at the Cojedes National Stadium with over 60,000 people in attendance. Nico Cambiero shined with his song "Anhelo", while Asunción Xirau stunned the audience with the song "Cross My Heart", also known as "X My Heart". Valeria Ocampo sent the song "Fuego" (Fire), while Juan Tasis "Adios" (Goodbye). All four singers qualified for the Grand Final as did newcomers Camilo Garrido, Renata Seco, and Emiliano Moya. The Grand Final will take place on June 7th. The winner will represent the City of Cojedes, while the runner-up will represent Rosario Province, which is the only case of this happening in the entire contest. The Final will have a 5 judge panel and a televote from the City and Province of Rosario. The panel will consist of Jozyanne, Marcos Arboleda, Antonio Fernandino, Isidora García, and Soledad Moruga.

The National Assembly voted and approved two major and important bills today. The first is that, beginning in 2021, Cojedes will begin enforcing mandatory conscription for 24 months. The move will not apply to the Navy, Marines, Gendarmerie, or Air Force, but will apply to the Army, Coast Guard, and National Guard. The government reported that they are using this to first give people the knowledge on what to do during disaster and also to prepare them just in case a disaster or war was to break out in Cojedes. The second bill that was approved was the appropriation of the extra 1,5 billion pesos that were not spent on the Unity Bridge. The bill, which was sponsored by the President, declares that the additional funds will be divided by the Department of Internal Affairs, the Department of Health, the Department of Human Services, and the Department of Urban Development. Each Department will receive 375 million pesos to be dedicated to whatever their specific head calls for. The Secretary of Internal Affairs stated that it would dedicate the majority of its funds to ships the Coast Guard plans to build, while the Secretary of Health said that their money will go to research. The Secretary of Urban Development said that the money will go to building new apartments, schools, and housing across the country, while the Secretary of Human Services stated that the funding will go to providing essential human services.

Our top story tonight, the City and Province of Corrientes, along with the City of Heravion and the Province of Santiago del Estero have held their contests to select their representatives for the Cojedan National Song Contest. The City of Corrientes hosted their final at the Corrientes National Stadium with roughly 58,000 people in attendance. The result of the show was that Antonio Cabal was chosen to represent the city with the song "Es Mi Vida" (It's My Life). The Province of Corrientes chose to send Araceli Gaona with her song "Glorioso" (Glorious), while the City of Heravion will send Virginia Sofia Fraga with her song "Niños del Universo" (Children of the Universe). Santiago del Estero in the end, with a very narrow vote of roughly 20, chose to send Pop singer Emiliano Zoido with the song "Guerrero" (Warrior). Tomorrow night, the Provinces of Heravion, Santa Cruz, La Rioja, and Mendoza, along with the cities of Santa Cruz and Córdoba will host their finals.

We wish to congratulate Alejandro Berrocal MD, the father of current President Juan Andrés Berrocal, on his retirement. Today, Alejandro announced that after 52 years as a neurologist, that he was officially retiring from his practice and from the San Luis Health Council, which he founded in 1998. The announcement came as a shock to the people of San Luis who were surprised that he was retiring as he had made no mention of it in recent times. In a statement released to the public, Alejandro stated the following, "I thank all my patients for their loyalty to my practice over the past 44 years. I am greatly honored to have served in such a great community and country for all this time. Even though I am retiring, I intend to work as long as the great Father will allow me, whether that be through taking care of my grandchildren, helping my wife with her company and humanitarian work, or even helping with those who suffer concussions through sports." People across the country congratulated the Doctor and wished him well through the rest of his life.

In other news, the Department of Education released a report earlier that stated that since the beginning of the Rosario Initiative, that 24 schools have been built across the country and that many more have been upgraded. The report found that the majority of schools were built in and around Rosario and in Corrientes, the two largest cities in the country. Most of the repairs to schools include new air ventilation systems, new sporting equipment, new playground equipment, new books, and even having schools give laptops or tablets to students to use for their students. The Secretary of Education, Xavier Ocampo, had the following to say, "I am very pleased at all that has been done to help rebuild the schools and even the building of new schools. I am also proud that we are able to afford giving tablets and laptops to our students and that companies have even partnered with us to help us make this possible. To reassure the populace, we are constantly monitoring what the students are doing on the electronic systems and that any violations of the rules set up by schools will result in the systems being taken away". Of all the projects in the Rosario Initiative, education has received the 3rd highest budgeted amount, only behind Healthcare and "Housing & Development".

The RCCG Almirante Santino Chicote and the RCCG Bella Vista, were both sent out near the city of Santa Fe de la Vera Cruz on the Naesser to respond to a possible drowning. Both ships, which have the ability to carry a helicopter, deployed the helicopter first and pursued them as they headed to the specific location. Upon arrival, they saw a man in his younger 20's struggling against what was actually a rip tide. The two ships arrived on the scene and Cabo Primero Julio Sarmiento was able to rescue the man. The two were then transported by helicopter to Santa Fe General Hospital where the man, later identified as Sebastian Romero, was checked for any wounds or water in his lungs. The Mayor of Santa Fe de la Vera Cruz, who was witness to the whole scene, went to the hospital and thanked Cabo Primero Sarmiento for rescuing Sebastian. Reporters spoke to Sarmiento who stated, "It is the same that I would have done for anyone else. I responded as quickly as I could and was following the orders of my Commanding Officer." This is the second time in 2 weeks that the Coast Guard has responded to an issue such as this.

Our top story this afternoon, more regional and municipal finals have taken place across the country as the Cojedan National Song Contest is getting closer. The Province of Heravion was the first to showcase their talent last night and they have chosen to send Marta & Diego with the song "Mercy", the first song for the contest in Mercanti. Santa Cruz Province voted to send Felipe Leoz with the song "Huesos" (Bones), while the City of Santa Cruz chose Alexis Graciani with the song "Piedras" (Stones). La Rioja has chosen to send "Siempre" (Forever) by Moises Obregón, while Mendoza has selected "Tenemos Amor" (We Got Love) by Bianca Naboa. As well, the cities of Córdoba and Rosario, along with the Province of Rosario have chosen their entries. Córdoba chose "Tormenta" (Storm) by Rafaela Vera, the City of Rosario chose "Anhelo" by Nico Cambiero. The runner up of the Rosario contest, who will represent Rosario Province, was Asunción Xirau with "X My Heart", the only other song selected in Mercanti. Of the cities, only Santa Fe de la Vera Cruz has yet to choose, while the province of San Juan, Tucumán, San Luis, and Entre Ríos still have yet to select their entries. The Joint Broadcasting Union of Cojedes has yet to select a final date for the contest, but the majority consensus is that it will take place between August and December.

In other news, a new University has been opened in the Province of San Luis. The University, which is the fourth in the Province, is named the University of Anzoátegui. The University, which is a public research institution, was opened after roughly 8 years of construction on the property allotted by the City of Anzoátegui, the second largest city in San Luis Province and the 9th largest city in Cojedes. This is the first educational facility to bare the name of the city, while the name is also given to the upcoming Belmonte Class Corvette and to the second Córdoba Class Corvette that is on order. The University will begin accepting students immediately with courses expected to start in Fall 2018. Major courses will include education, medicine, music, law, and human services. President Berrocal came to the city and attended the ribbon cutting ceremony and even gave a tour of the city.

Our top story tonight, the Nuevos Church of Cojedes and the Church of Cojedes announced today that they will beginning a nationwide revival. The announcement came after both churches have attempted to thaw relations, which were dismantled before the Socialist Civil War. A convention of preachers from both churches, the two leading church groups in Cojedes, declared their support of a nationwide revival and even has sent a petition to the government to allow the use of public space to do the revival. Pastor Diego Alejandro Moya, one of the leading evangelist in Cojedes who is part of the Nuevos Church of Cojedes, the Independent church, stated that he had requested the government the right to use Independence Square in Rosario to do the revival and was shocked by the response he got. "A few days after sending in the request, I received a letter stating that we would be allowed to use Independence Square and any other resources we needed. Obviously, they feel we need revival just as much as anyone else." Leaders in both churches stated that the decision to hold a revival comes after decreases in church attendance have taken place of the past few years. Revival sermons are expected to begin this coming Sunday.

The Joint Broadcasting Union of Cojedes announced today that they had chosen the opening act for the grand final of the Cojedan National Song Contest. Though they have yet to still set a date for the contest, the union announced that they have chosen to have a joint choir perform as the opening act. The choir will consist of the Rosario Gospel Choir, the Corrientes Gospel Choir, and the Santa Cruz Gospel Group. The decision came after a request from several of the competitors, all of whom thus far adhere to one of the major churches in Cojedes. The Executive Director of the JBUC stated, "We are very excited to well the three choirs into the contest to perform. They are an amazing group of the people and the message they give out is exactly what we want to send to the viewers at home." The decision was met with applause from the majority of politicians and even was supported by members of the opposition. The groups will begin rehearsing as soon as possible and will be doing a selection of music from their different churches.

In other news, doctors in the city of Rosario were able to preform a major operation on a five month old with a brain tumor. The surgery, which took over 20 hours to complete, was oversaw by 10 different doctors from all across the country, bringing together some of the greatest minds in Cojedan neurosurgery. The little boy, who was identified Bruno Fraga, was born with the brain tumor and was not expected to live. His parents, both of whom are devout church goers, decided that they were going to do whatever they could to give their child a fighting chance. After the surgery was completed, doctors were able to stop high levels of pressure in the brain by relieving them. The surgery was successful and doctors have stated that the child may be able to live a normal life, without having many birth defects, but did state that there will be some conditions that they need to watch for. They also stated that the child would need to avoid over-contact with sunlight.

Our top story this evening, Revival is taking place all across the country as the Nuevos Church of Cojedes and the Church of Cojedes are working together to lead more souls to the Messiah. Several revivals have taken place, including one in Independence Square in which over 130,000 people attended. Since the beginning of the revival, roughly 12,000 people have accepted the call of the Savior and have put their faith in Him. President Berrocal, who attended and spoke at one of the sermons, told reporters that he was proud of the people who had decided to turn their life over to the Messiah. Vice President Rega, his wife, and his nephew attended a sermon in the City of Corrientes and said they were amazed by all that happened there. During the revival, the nephew of the Vice President accepted the call of the Messiah, as did 22 others that night. Church leaders have called it a New Awakening in Cojedes and have applauded the efforts of all the preachers and missionaries.

President Berrocal addressed a joint session of the National Assembly today, the second time since he has been elected as President. The topic of his speech today covered several issues, including curbing poverty, ensuring that children are taken care of, and also about corruption. The President was welcomed into the National Assembly building by all members of the Assembly and went on to deliver his speech to rounds of applause several times. The President announced the formation of a Department of Social Services and Child Protection to ensure that the needs of children, whether it be to place them in a better home or to ensure that they have food, be met. He nominated Morena Espiga as the Secretary and hoped that the government would appoint her in a timely fashion. In regards to corrupt, President Berrocal announced that he was signing an executive order to counter corruption, not only in the government, but also in the workforce, by increasing the penalties for convictions of corruption.

A shocking twist in the National Assembly today as Christian Democrat Party Leader Mauricio Manzanares announced that the Christian Democrats of Cojedes were officially severing ties with the opposition and joining the coalition. The announcement came after comments made by a Liberal Party Senator claimed that members of the Christian Democrats were second class citizens and did not deserve to have seats in the National Assembly. Members of all parties, including those not in the National Assembly, condemned the comments made by the Liberal Party Senator, who is not being named for security purposes. President Berrocal responded to the comments by stating, "The Liberal Party should withdraw it's support of this so-called Senator. He does not represent the will of the people and never has. We cannot allow for members of government to attack other parties in this manner at any attempt to devalue them." The Christian Democrats also cited the failed promises of the Liberal Party as the reason they were leaving. The party will officially join the coalition effective at midnight. Several political commentators have said that we could be seeing the last weeks of the Liberal Party.

The city of Santa Fe de la Vera Cruz held the grand final of its municipal contest yesterday to select its entrant for the Cojedan National Song Contest. After an intense contest and several issues, including a power issue at the Municipal Stadium where the final was held, Cojedan singer Soledad Alarcón was chosen to represent the city with her song "Tren del Cielo" (Train of the Sky). After winning the right to represent the city, Soledad spoke to reporters from Cojedes 24 and told them that she wrote the song after going on a train through the Silver Mountains. "It was an amazing experience. You can see for miles around and the sights are breathtaking. I wrote the song based off what I saw going through the mountains." The song is a fan favorite as it has been viewed on YouMusic over 4,5 million times and has sold on IMusic roughly 8 million times.

In other news, the Bank of South Cojedes (Banco del Sur Cojedes)* has received recognition for raising 100,000 Cojedan Pesos for a church in the city of Concordia. The church, known as the Church of the Messiah the Redeemer, which is part of the Nuevos Church of Cojedes, was going to be closed by the end of the month if the church could not raise the money needed to keep the doors open. A member of the church, who is a worker for the Bank of South Cojedes, a national banking company, brought the idea to the bank to hold a fundraiser throughout the months of January through June to get the money to the church to be able to continue operating. The bank loved the idea and was able to raise 100,000 Cojedan Pesos for the bank and then matched the money that was raised, as well as offering financial planning for the church and for the people of the church for free.

Our top story tonight, the City of Heravion announced today the completion of the Heravion International Sports Complex. The Complex, which consists of the Heravion International Stadium, Ruby Arena, Horizon Park, and Plata Aquatics Venue, has been built over the course of the past 8 years at a total of 42 billion Cojedan pesos. The Heravion International Stadium, which will host Heravion FC and 1/4th of the games of the Cojedan National Football Team, has a total number of 72,344 seats. Ruby Arena, which will host Heravion Dawgs HC, has a total seating of 18,500, while Horizon Park will be used for Tennis and Basketball and the Plata Aquatics Venue will be used for Aquatics events and training with seating of anywhere from 8,000 to 10,000 depending on the event occurring. President Berrocal was in the city for the ribbon cutting ceremony and applauded the efforts of all the workers involved.

Work is continuing on the City of Raphael and so far construction has been going great according to several workers. So far, three hotels, a railway, and even part of an international airport is open in the city. Several malls and small stores have as well been completed and are opening for business in the coming week. MedCojedes, the largest Medical equipment organization in the country, has decided to open a warehouse and factory in the city, which is expected to bring roughly 4,000 jobs. Vice President Sebastian Rega visited the site today with several members of the Senate and reported that the city is doing excellent for being in the early stages. "If you told me 4, 5, even 6 months ago that this is what Raphael would look like, I would have said you were a liar. The city is an amazing representation of what happens in Cojedes when people work together for a common goal." Other major projects that are going on in the city include a metro station, numerous sporting venues, two hospitals, three schools and one university, as well as numerous groceries, restaurants, and housing units.

The Provinces of San Juan and San Luis have chosen their representatives for the Cojedan National Song Contest. The Province of San Juan, which hosted their final at the Estadio San Juan, had a grand final that consisted of 20 different singers and a jury panel of 18 different popular musicians, singers, and newscasters. The Province of San Luis on the other hand held their grand final in the capital of the province, San Luis at the Estadio Ciudad de San Luis with a 16 member jury and 19 people competing for the ticket to represent their province in Rosario. The result of both shows was that Inmaculada Barrios will represent San Juan Province with her song "Ni Una Más", while Marina Pardo will represent San Luis Province with her song "La Tormenta". Only 2 provinces still remain to announce their singers and a big announcement came from the Joint Broadcasting Union of Cojedes. The announcement has declared a change in venue and declared the Rosario National Stadium, capable of hosting up to 80,000 people, will be the official host of the contest.

People are still reeling from the shock that the Christian Democratic Party of Cojedes has left its coalition with the Liberal Party and has joined forces with the Conservative Coalition. The announcement sent shock waves throughout the country and several provincial legislatures even began make similar changes to their government. The Christian Democratic Party has announced that is will hold its annual convention this coming weekend at the Estadio Monumental in Rosario, the second largest stadium in Rosario, capable of holding 74,624 people. There are only few seats left at the stadium and people across the nation are applauding the efforts that have been done. Party Leader Mauricio Manzanares was given the appointment of Deputy Speaker of the House after the party switched allegiances and will as well be sitting in the cabinet meetings from here on. Some have speculated that the Christian Democrats were tired of the failed promises of the liberals and saw that the conservatives were going the right way. They also have had an issue with Liberal party leaders threatening their members and their families, along with threatening to destroy several historical, sport, and cultural venues and sites if they ever take power. The Supreme Court announced that it would begin an investigation into the threats that the Liberal Party has mounted to see if it is equatable with treason.

Our top story tonight, former President Antonio Suarez has been elected Governor of San Juan Province! The election, which took place yesterday, saw the former President win by a margin of nearly 28%. The province, of which the Governor-elect is a native, has a total population of roughly 3,000,000 people, of which, 1,250,000 are registered voters. Of those, 67% turned out to make their voice heard in the Regional election to elect a Governor and a new Legislature. The result of the Legislature election saw the National Conservative Union take a majority of seats, while the Christian Democratic Party of Cojedes took 15 seats, a 10 seat increase compared to the last regional election. Governor-elect Suarez has promised to work with the government of the province to create more jobs and bring better healthcare and education opportunities to the region.

The Province of Mendoza has announced the opening of two new hospitals in its region. The first, located in the city of Mendoza, has been named the Mendoza River General Hospital. The hospital, which is located right on the river, will be capable of handling roughly 4,000 patients at one time. The Emergency Department itself is capable of hosting over 1,125 people. The hospital, which is divided between eight buildings, has been a 10 year project according to the Governor of the Mendoza Province and he stated that it exemplifies the true spirit of Mendoza that it has been completed in this time frame. The Hospital will be equipped with state-of-the-art equipment and will host the fourth largest oncology center in the country. The other hospital, located in the city of Junín, has been named after former President Nestor Estávez, who is a native of the Province. The Nestor Estávez Sentara Health Center is part of a community of hospitals that span throughout the country. The Hospital will officially open tomorrow and has roughly 3,500 available beds. These two hospitals will be the 4th and 8th largest hospitals in the country.

Our top story this evening, Governor Javier Santángel of the Santa Fe de la Vera Cruz Province announced this morning measures to increase rural healthcare and child healthcare in the province. The measures, which were brought about by the Santa Fe Healthcare Act, were signed into law following a press conference this morning and a vote of the Regional Assembly earlier this week. The measures state that hospitals will be encouraged to expand into more rural areas and that colleges will also be required to provide training and equipment for those who need to travel to rural regions of the province. As well, the law states that all children will be required to be submitted for immunizations and yearly physicals. The Governor, a former pediatrician and Army Doctor, said that the law would hopefully strengthen healthcare requirements in the province and the country as a whole. As well, he stated that he will continue to support measures throughout the Province in regards to healthcare by donating 75,000 pesos of his 120,000 peso yearly paycheck to health and wellness establishments in Santa Fe de la Vera Cruz Province.

President Juan Andrés Berrocal and Vice President Sebastian Rega signed legislation today authorizing the recognition of the work of nurses, doctors, teachers, and soldiers. The legislation, passed as a resolution by the Cámara de Diputados and the Senado, creates a commemorative week called "Public Service Recognition Week". The President stated in a speech that while recognizing all the military and veterans does is important, that the work of nurses, doctors, and teachers is equally important. "There is no doubt that what the military does is important and that they do deserve recognition for it. Others who serve in public service like teachers, nurses, and others, equally deserve recognition for all the work that they do. This week allows people to give back and recognize them for all that they do for our country." The law will go into effect immediately and the first "Public Service Recognition Week" will be held between August 4th and August 11th.

In other news, the city of Santa Rosa will soon be receiving not only a new hydroelectric plant, but a new university. The announcement of the near completion of these two projects came early this morning as workers from both states that they expect both the plant and the university to be opened by the end of July. The plant, which has seen over 6 years of construction, will lie right on the Desaguadero River. The University on the other hand, known as the Desaguadero University at Santa Rosa, has been a project that is over 12 years in the making. The University will offer courses that go across several different areas of study including nursing and medical sciences, education, political science, civil service, psychology, chemistry, and engineering. The Universities Medical Sciences program will train students to serve as either Physicians Assistants or as Doctors, regular MD's or one's with specific fields. The University will be opened in time for the 2018 Fall Semester and has already had to begin a waiting list for students. The University has apartments and dorms that have the capability of housing over 42,000 students. So far, 48,000 people have applied to the school and over 3,000 are on the waiting list, while 2,000 will be doing the online program. It is projected that the Desaguadero University could become the second largest University in Cojedes if its online program takes off as planned.

Our top story, revival has begun to spread to all corners of the nation as people in even the most remote of areas are having revivals. Pastor Emmanuel Tassis, a pastor of the Nuevos Church of Cojedes in the Silver Mountains, has told our reporters that his church has been holding revival every day since the beginning of the announcement of the revival. "Our church, with a congregation of roughly 115 people, has been holding revival every single day. Since the beginning of the revival, our church has been full of people on a near daily basis. We begin meeting at 9 AM in the morning, and we usually won't stop until 9 PM at night.People can come and go as they please and we have a lot of people coming through the church. I am very happy to see how this is going for us, especially in our remote area." The Pastor also told us that since the region is mostly coal based in economics, that people are generally more able to come and stay for longer intervals after they complete work in the coal mines. Vice President Sebastian Rega is expected to pay them a visit later this week, after speaking at the Heravion Municipal Stadium later this week in a sermon he will be giving.

The National Council of Investigative Services announced yesterday morning that it was launching an investigation into a potential threat against the Unity Stadium in Rosario. The announcement came after police and military forces received a phone call that had a threatening message for police, military personnel, and several important sites throughout the country. Other areas that were threatened according to police included the First Church of Corrientes, several schools in the country, and even two hospitals. Investigators have stated that the call could have came from anywhere in the country, but that the phone had an area code of the Santiago del Estero Province. Investigators have bee dispatched all across the country and regional police will also be involved in the investigation. Investigators do not believe that the threats are real and that they were most likely a prank, as this has been the case over the past 15 years.

In other news, Senator Aitana Morterero and Senator Antonia Navarro, both of whom are Senators for Mendoza Province, were attacked while en route to the Province early this morning. The two were driving with a motorcade from Rosario to the Mendoza Province and were attack by three men. The armed guards of both responded immediately and police were called to the scene to arrest the attackers. The attackers were taken into custody in Mendoza and are charged with unlawful possession of a weapon, use of a weapon in the commission of a crime, attempted murder, and potentially treason. The two Senators told our reporters that they were fine, but that while they were shaken up, they were more determined than ever to continue to fight for more protection laws in Cojedes for Senators and to help control the flow of guns in the country, legally or illegally. This is the second attack on a group of Cojedan Senators in the past 12 years. President Berrocal called both Senators and also addressed concerns of gun control, declaring that the National Assembly and that the Cabinet will be proposing legislation to help control the illicit gun trade in Cojedes.

Our top story, Xavier Xirau, the oldest living former President, passed away this morning aged 101. Xirau, who served as President from 1960 to 1968, died after suffering from a bout of cancer. The President was notable for serving as the Vice President of Gloria Rodriguez and the first President to see the stock market of Cojedes hit record breaking numbers. During his tenure as President, conscription was abolished and the country focused primarily on rebuilding from the Fascist War. Xirau was the first President of Cojedes that had not previously served in politics, but had however served in the military for roughly 30 years. People across the nation gathered today to send prayers to the family and the President declared one week of national mourning and ordered all flags fly at half-mast for the duration of the period of mourning. Cojedan Cardinal Jesus Alguacil has been requested to give the eulogy at the funeral service as he was a good friend to the President and his family. Xirau's grandson, Mario Dominic Xirau has thanked the nation for the prayers over the past couple of months and stated that his grandfather is now at peace with the Messiah. The State Funeral will be held on Friday Morning after the former President lies in state for two days.

Senator Anita Morterero and Senator Antonia Navarro jointly presented a bill before the Senado today to call on the government to dedicate funding and soldiers to curb the illicit gun trade in Cojedes. The Bill, presented in response to several years of illicit trading and the recent attack on the two senators, requests that the government grant at least 2,000 soldiers and 3,000 members of the National Police Force to helping police to curb the trade and also to crack down on weapons being able to come into Cojedes. While it is not known where the guns are coming from, the Transportation & Security Administration and the Border Guards of Cojedes have recently stopped 2,500 guns from coming into the borders, whether by land, sea, or air. The Bill passed in the Senado with a clear majority in favor. The Bill will now be sent to the Cámara de Diputados to vote whether or not to submit it to the President. The President has promised to sign the bill and, if the bill is not passed, will sign an Executive Order to allow for troops and police to be added to a task force across the country.

Our final story, former President Antonio Suarez has been sworn in as Governor of the San Juan Province. The inauguration, which took place at noon today, was attended by the Vice President, the Speaker of the Cámara de Diputados, the Chairman of the Senado, and by members from both the outgoing and incoming Regional Legislature of San Juan. In his inaugural address, the Governor stated that he will commit himself to expanding healthcare, jobs, and education accessibility in the San Juan Province. The Governor also swore to work with the federal government with the Rosario Initiative and to dedicate regional funds to the project. The Governor concluded his address by stating that he calls on the Regional Assembly to making housing more affordable in the province and for the regional assembly to come up with new housing plans for the province, especially in and around the capital.

Our top story this morning, the funeral of former President Xavier Xirau was held this morning in the First Church of Rosario with roughly 8,000 people in attendance. Among the attendees included current President Juan Andrés Berrocal, current Vice President Sebastian Rega, 11 of the members of the Cabinet, and former President's Antonio Suarez, Caleb Fernandez, and Nestor Estávez, along with former Vice Presidents Valentina Perón and Jairo Botín. Pastor Ricardo Cabal delivered the sermon, in which he called on people to live out the Messiah-like life that the deceased President had led. Cardinal Jesus Alguacil, who is a good friend of the former President, delivered the eulogy. "He was an excellent leader and the embodiment of a person who truly believed in the Messiah and all His Words. I am glad that I was able to meet him and know him for as long as I did. May our Heavenly Father now accept him into His loving arms." Other speakers included Jairo Botín, who was a member of the Senado during the term of the President, and Mario Dominic Xirau, the grandson of the deceased President and a Lieutenant in the Cojedan Army. President Berrocal also gave a statement in which he presented posthumously the titles, Hero of Cojedes and Order of the Blue Star 1st Class. Former President Xirau will be transported to his home province of Santa Cruz to be buried.

The Province of Santa Fe de la Vera Cruz has voted and elected a new Governor! After several weeks of political debates and the regional court invalidating the original results, Morena Isidora Zorita has been elected as Governor of the Santa Fe de la Vera Cruz Province. The vote, which was held yesterday, saw a turnout of nearly 76% of the regional voting populace, and also saw the winning candidate receive roughly 68% of the vote, with the second place candidate receiving 19% of the vote. The vote for Governor comes after the Supreme Court of Santa Fe de la Vera Cruz invalidated the May Gubernatorial election, stating that there were irregularities in the voting and as well allowed for the provinces districts to bring corruption charges against the elected Governor. At the age of 32, Zorita becomes the youngest current governor in Cojedes, while being the fourth youngest throughout all of Cojedan history. Zorita, who was a member of the Cojedan Front for Victory, and joined the National Conservative Union after the merger, has declared that she will support the Rosario Initiative, increase healthcare in the province, grant more funding to education and living, as well as appointing a cabinet to help in day to day affairs. Morena will be sworn in on August 1st at the Municipal Stadium in Santa Fe de la Vera Cruz.

Our top story this afternoon, a 17 year old was attack by a shark off the coast of Rosario Beach earlier today. The main beach in the area, Rosario Beach is known for having several sharks come near its area. The boy, an unidentified male from San Luis Province, was swimming towards a boat that his family was on when he was attack by the shark. A nearby coast guard ship was given a distress signal and arrived on the scene within 5 minutes. The shark, which has not yet been identified, released the leg of the boy and turned to attack some fish that had been thrown into the water from the main boat. The boy was immediately evacuated by helicopter to Rosario National Hospital where he was treated for his wounds. It is believed that had the shark held on for at least 2 minutes longer, the boy would have lost his leg and potentially his life. This is the second shark attack in a two months time. The government has stated that they are very too worried about more potential attacks but that they will be keeping an eye on these events.

In other news, the National Council of Investigative Services announced this morning that is had determined the threat against Unity Stadium in Rosario to be a prank. A spokesperson for the council declared that they had arrested 8 people in connection to the threat and they each admitted that they were only pulling a prank, that their threat was invalid. "We have interrogated these people through all legal means. They were treated fairly under Cojedan law and they will be transferred to prison tomorrow awaiting trial." The Council has decided to try the 8 men for making a threat against a national structure and for potential to cause harm to people. One of the 8 men is also being charged with another crime that has nothing to do with the case at hand and that the council will not release information on the crime. The 8 men could face 2 years in prison or a 50,000 peso fine each.

Our top story tonight, the competition is heating up for the Cojedes National Song Contest and the final two acts have been chosen. Tucumán and Entre Ríos provinces selected their competitors tonight through a regional selection that involved public and jury voting. The Province of Entre Ríos held its final it the city of Entre Ríos at Milagre Stadium with roughly 45,850 people in attendance. The results of the show came around 8 PM and it was announced that Sara Montes will be representing the province with her song "Solo para él" (Only For Him). In the Tucumán Province, their show was held at Libertador Arena, with 20,000 people in attendance. The results of that show were also decided by a jury and public voting process and the result was that Martina Cadaval would compete for the province with the song "Estrellas Fugaces" (Falling Stars). The Contest has not yet had an announced date of when the final will occur, but the JBUC states that it may be held in October.

In other news, the Department of Agriculture released a report earlier that states that the production of corn, potatoes, cotton, coffee, and vanilla has increased in the past three months compared to that same time frame last year. The report, which was conducted by the government and by independence officials, states that the production levels of these five crops are at the highest they have been in ten years and that corn and coffee has been one of the most bought products in the past couple months. "Aside from clothing and other necessities, corn and coffee would currently rank in the top 10 for items purchased this year. It would definitely be in the top 5 for food and drink", according to Secretary Aynia Timolova. The major provinces of production has been La Rioja, Mendoza, San Juan, and Tucumán, all of which have been known to have the most fertile land in the country and are noted for containing at least 2 of the countries major rivers per province, meaning that they have outstanding irrigation abilities. The report also stated that Vanilla has been an important commodity in Mendoza Province, which is where the majority of it is grown.

Our top story this evening, President Juan Andrés Berrocal announced earlier today that the program known as FitnessRx was officially being extended. The program, which had originally been only 2 months in length, has been extended to now including 5 months at any government approved facility. The program, which was started by former Vice President Valentina Perón, was to be granted by hospitals for patients who were pre-diabetic or needed weight loss. The government, while keeping almost 100% to the original program, has added the extension and has allocated more funding for the program. "While the number of people who are obese in Cojedes is not a full on issue at the time, we are more concerned with the level of pre-diabetes in our country. Our research has shown the by exercising and changing a diet, both of which the FitnessRx Program encourages, can help lower the risk of pre-diabetes and can contribute to overall health improvement", states President Berrocal. The Vice President has joined the program, as have members of the National Assembly.

The city of Nueva Esperanza, one of the most important tourist towns in the Southern Cojedes, has reported an increased number of visitors this year compared to the past five years. The city, which suffered a from a flood nearly six years ago, completed its rebuilding earlier this year and sites for tourists were officially opened earlier this month. The city council has reported a 37% increase of tourists compared to this time five years ago and several hotels and tourist companies have reported that they are completely sold out of rooms throughout the coming month. "We are very excited and happy to see people coming back to our town. It has been years since we have seen this many tourists in this area and the people are enjoying it", said a spokesman for the city council. Several business owners have reported an increase in their profits compared to the same time last year and several have reported that they are running low or are sold out of certain products. The most sold product in the city at this time according to business owners is novelty items, mostly little shot glasses that have the cities name on them and a scene from the area.

Our top story this evening, President Berrocal and Vice President Rega were in the town of La Resurrección today to commemorate the beginning of the Third Cojedan Civil War, also known as the Socialist Civil War. The town, which is the most remote town in all of the country, is notable for having been the site of the beginning of the Revolution against the Socialist Government. Being the most remote town in the country, it is only accessible by either walking through the Solar Mountains or by landing at the helicopter port in the East of the town. President Berrocal addressed a crowd of 4,000 and told the people that the country would always remember their sacrifices and the work they had done to help bring down the Dictatorial government. The President also presented a plaque to the mayor, who then put it on the door frame of the house where the Revolution officially began. The President reaffirmed the status of "City of Historic Significance" and stated that the title would entitle them to more funding than regular cities.

The University of Heravion North Campus has officially opened and dedicated a new School of Law and a new School of Medicine. The School of Law, known as the Evita Arias Memorial School of Law, was opened at the end of last week and is where students who are studying to become lawyers or are majoring in politics will go to receive their education. The School of Medicine, known as the Matías Alvarado School of Medicine, is where those wishing to become doctors or nurses will be able to receive their degrees. Both schools were named in honor of important Cojedan figures, either in Politics or Medicine. The schools will officially begin being used by students at the end of August when classes will resume. Matías Alvarado was present for the dedication ceremony and wished all the students the best of luck and even accepted a position to work at the school for a 3 year term.

Our top story this evening, the National Assembly announced his morning that Interstates 9 and 17 would begin expansion projects by the end of the week. The expansion, which was proposed two years ago and later withdrawn, was brought to light again as there have been reports of travel issues in Eastern and Northern Cojedes. Interstate 9, which runs through Rosario Province, Corrientes Province, and Mendoza Province will begin expansion at the end of the week. The expansion will include going into Santa Cruz Province and even into parts of San Juan Province, as well as widening section from 2 lanes to 3 and from 3 lanes to 5. Interstate 17 on the other hand, which runs through Santa Cruz, San Luis, and Heravion Provinces will expand into Santa Fe de la Vera Cruz Province and will also see additional widening. Interstate 17 will also merge with Interstate 22 which runs along the Southwestern Coast.

In other news, the President has declared three days of national mourning at the behest of the National Assembly due to the passing of Priscila Sarmiento. Sarmiento, who was a pastor in Corrientes, was traveling through the Mendoza Province for a conference with other pastors and with seminary students when she had to veer off the road to avoid an oncoming car. Narrowly avoiding the car, Sarmiento crashed into a set of trees and was later pronounced dead at the hospital. Upon discovery of what made her veer off the road, as this section of the Interstate had cameras, the man who was driving the other car turned himself in and issued an apology to her family. The National Assembly, who once awarded Priscila Sarmiento the Award of Religious Freedom for her ministry, requested of the President to issue a day of National Mourning. The President, being familiar with the Pastor, issued a three day mourning period, lowered flags to half mast, and even went to Corrientes to offer his personal condolences to the family.

Our top story this evening, the National Assembly of Cojedes has approved the construction of a coastal road system, running from Santiago Del Estero Province to San Luis Province. The Assembly, which began deliberations on the topic nearly a month ago, decided that the coastal road system proposed by the National Public Roads Authority was the best choice that has been presented to them. The project, which will involve highways, bridges, and underwater tunnels will begin construction next month. The project states that the main issue with any of the projects is that there are three fjords in the main path that will have to either be bypassed or the road system must go over them. It is expected to start construction on September 14th and completion of the project is expected to occur in either 2022 or 2023. The project, at a rough estimate, will cost anywhere from 47 to 50 billion Cojedan Pesos. The act to begin the construction was approved in both houses by a unanimous vote and the President signed it into law at noon.

In other news, President Berrocal issued an executive order today, announcing changes to the Rosario Initiative. The main changes were that there is an increase of State Funds to the project, raising the budget from 17 billion to 28 billion, increasing the government pay of college tuition from 12% to 20% minimum, public hospitals will decrease rates by 12%, and The use of Renewable energy sources will instead be lifted from 40% to 42%, meaning that additional hydroelectric, solar, and wind power plants will be more common and potentially more will be built. The President said the order was necessary to ensure that the needs of the Cojedan people are met and that there will be enough funds for the project and that students will have the chance to go to college. When announcing the order, it was also revealed that several companies have agreed to pay college tuition for their workers if they work there at least 2 1/2 years, which will secure more of the required cost of tuition.

Our final story of the night, the Joint Broadcasting Union of Cojedes has announced that the stage for the Cojedan National Song Contest is set and that the contest will be held on October 13th at the Cojedes National Stadium in Rosario, a massive change from Unity Arena, and that 74,000 tickets will be sold for the event. The Contest will be hosted by Pascual Miralles and Daniela Amengual on stage, with Abril Tassis hosting in the Green Room and on the Red Carpet. The JBCU also announced that the winner will take home 1 million pesos, which 2nd place will take home 500,000 pesos, 3rd will take 150,000, and the remaining will take with them 40,000 pesos each. The money will be supplied by ticket sales (Which range from 50 pesos to 2,000 pesos) and through funds that have been allocated to the JBCU over the past 8 years. Sponsors of the contest have been selected and they will each be donating 100,000 Pesos to the contest.

Our top story this evening, the Banco del Sur Cojedes (Bank of South Cojedes) reported this morning that there was an attempt to hack into its system and steal money from the bank. The bank released a report that showed that the attempt took place early this morning between 4 and 5 AM, but that it was prevented by the bank's online security team. In the same report, the bank stated that the hackers would have been able to steal roughly 12 billion pesos as the rest of the funds are secured in even more defenses. According to the Treasury, this is just one of several attempts in the past 8 months at stealing money from banks, with none being successful. Sebastian Benito Ruiz, founder of PSC, the largest cyber security protection agency in the nation, reported that his company is working with the banks and other businesses and even hospitals to help counter attacks on their security. The National Assembly has also proposed legislation to help counter cyber security attacks such as these.

A new church has been started in Rosario and Santa Fe de la Vera Cruz. "The Hope Fellowship", which was founded by Emilio Leguizamo and his wife Marisa Fonseca Leguizamo, has completed construction of the two church building. For several months, the church had been hosting meetings in schools, libraries, and other public venues, once even holding service in front of 10,000 people at the Rosario National Stadium. The church had finally reached capacity at the schools and other venues and decided it was time to begin building an actual church center for them to have services. The churches, which are on First Street in Rosario and Eighth Street in Santa Fe de la Vera Cruz, were both dedicated this past Sunday and held their first services with roughly 500 people at the service in Rosario and about 450 at the service in Santa Fe de la Vera Cruz. Vice President Sebastian Rega was reported to have been at the service in Rosario and stated he was thoroughly impressed. Marisa, the wife of the founder and head pastor, told our reporters that she would be taking an active role in the church, teaching Sunday school on Sunday's and being a Bible teacher in the school that is attached to the church.

Our top story this evening, the Cojedes Open Tennis Tournament is soon to begin! The first match will take place tonight at the Rosario Municipal Stadium, while another match will begin at the same time at the Corrientes National Tennis Stadium. The first match will feature last year's winner Justin Collazo against Sebastian Cazalla, while the second match will feature last year's runner up Mariano Barrios and Francisco Ruoco. This is the 47th year of the tournament and many commentators have noticed how different the event has become over the years. Several people have mentioned how important the tournament has been to Cojedes, not only in terms of economy, but in terms of breaking the social divides. It has been reported by the Cojedan Civil Air Authority that a few hundred Gojans and several Andrennians have traveled to Cojedes for the opening match, which is sold out. The competition will last until the end of October and the winner will leave with 3,2 million Cojedan pesos, with the runner up receiving 1,5 million Cojedan pesos.

In other news, also regarding tennis, the Rosario Open announced that it will be expanding for the first time to include players from foreign countries. For the past 18 years, Rosario has played host to the tournament between October 31st and December 20th. The tournament has always included people from across Cojedes, but that will soon change based on a decision made by the Rosario Open Committee. The committee met earlier this week and decided to open the tournament to people from across the world. The committee has not yet had any country agree to sign up, but talks with Andrennian and Gojan tennis players are in the works and an invitation may even be extended to players from Ninhundland. Chairman of the Committee, Covadonga Gaona, stated that she hopes for several countries to be represented by 2020 and will extend an invitation to all of Gothis for the 2018 Rosario Open. The committee also announced that the grand prize will increase from 1 million pesos to 2 million pesos, while the runner up will now receive 1 million pesos. Other prizes will be set before the tournament begins.

Football fans across the nation are getting excited as the beginning of high school, college, and professional football begins this weekend. The first high school matches will begin this Friday, while the college matches will begin this Saturday. The professional league, the LNF, will begin its first games this Sunday. The LNF will have 28 teams total this year, introducing two new teams, one in each conference. Several new colleges have joined the National College Association and several teams have begun practicing. It has been reported that the President will be at the opening match between the University of Rosario and Cojedes State University, which will be held at the University of Rosario Stadium. Vice President Sebastian Rega will be at the first match of his former school, University of Corrientes, who will play the University of Cojedes-Corrientes for their opening match. Our top story, President Berrocal was "put in place" so to say by the Supreme Court of Cojedes this morning after it ruled against him. Earlier last week, President Berrocal issued the restoration of voting rights to 100,000 former criminals. The Supreme Court immediately issued a stay on the executive order and declared this morning that the President does not have the authority to issue a blanket restoration of voting rights, but must do it on a case by case basis. Several political commentators took this as a sign that the Supreme Court will be fighting the President's decisions tooth and nail, as this is the third time since July that the Supreme Court has ruled against the President. The President responded to the Supreme Court decision by saying that he was upset at their actions, but will begin issuing the restoration of rights on a case by case basis. The Supreme Court is also beginning deliberations to see if President Berrocal has overstepped his power in the Rosario Initiative and, if necessary, will give an order for a new member to take his place a Chairman of the project.

The Cojedes Open Tennis Tournament is underway across the country and so far there has been a record turnout compared to the last 5 years. The Tournament, which is still in Round 1, consists of 100 different competitors and will last until the end of October. The winner will of course leave with a trophy, the glory, and 3,2 million pesos. In a twist, all who finish in the Top 10 will qualify for the Rosario Open automatically. Today's feature match was a shock to many and yet brought joy to many others. In the match between 4th ranked Camilo Galan and 37th ranked Jairo Valerio, Jairo upset Camilo to claim victory, the first of its kind ever occurring in the Cojedes Open. Commentators from the Cojedes Sports Network were brought to silence as the victory went to Jairo, the 24 year old competitor for Santa Cruz. The victory was seen as the end of an era for Camilo Galan, who had announced prior to the tournament that he would be retiring from the sport for a few years to focus on his family. Jairo will advance to the 2nd Round and face off against Javier Alcocer, who is ranked 10th overall.

In other news, the National Assembly decided today to award Maria Alina Rasgado, Alejandra Mancebo, and Clara Cadaval with the Order of the Republic of Cojedes and the Order of Blue Cross for service to the country. Representative Luciana Barrueco, who nominated the three for the award and will present them with the award, declared that she believed that the three women embodied the true spirit of Cojedes. "The three I have nominated are three of the greatest Cojedan women I know. They are the true embodiment of our people and have worked hard in their respective fields to get where they are today. The have climbed past a male-centered mentality and have become some of the top members in their respective lines of work." Maria Alina Rasgado, who is a doctor from Pasocal, has worked among the poor and the most remote people in Cojedes; Alejandra Mancebo is a humanitarian who was responsible for rescue and medical efforts during the 2014-2015 hurricane seasons, while Clara Cadaval has been a teacher to medical students and has worked as a nurse for 59 years and also served in medical efforts during the Cojedan Civil War and the 2008 Cojedan Flood Disaster. The three women will arrive in Rosario tomorrow to receive the awards in a ceremony. This is the fourth time in Cojedan history that the award has not be issued by the President, but rather a joint resolution of the National Assembly.

Our top story, boy band galore has swept the nation as RIN, the most popular boy band in the country, has released a remix of the traditional "Tren del Cielo" (Train of the Sky). The remix, which was released early this morning, has already been viewed over 80 million times on YouVision and has been bought on IMusic roughly 30 million times. In a surprise twist, all radio stations, regardless of their original genre that they play, have decided to play the song and have quickly spread it through the country. Lead vocalist Fabián Coronil, who was interviewed by the Rosario Sun and on Good Morning Rosario, told them that the idea to remix the song came from him, but that the remixed music was made by Eliseo Gallo. "I am so proud of how far we have come and how the people have responded to us. The nation has really taken well to us and I am so happy that they enjoy our music." RIN will be preforming at the National Stadium in Rosario and will include the song in their set. The Presidency has commemorated RIN for the remix and the music that they play in general.

In other news, the University of Heravion North Campus has re-opened following major remodeling following the fire that destroyed the university four years ago. The north campus, which was the original campus of the University, caught fire in the middle of the night four years ago and that the campus had to be closed down due to remodeling. The four year remodeling took a total of 52 million pesos to complete and was only finished a few days ago. The campus re-opened this morning in a grand unveiling ceremony where the School of Medicine and School of Law both held ceremonies to re-open. The School of Divinity will be hosting a re-opening at the end of the week. The North Campus will be home to 14,250 students this year, while a total of 22,450 will be going to this specific campus this year. The University President announced that he was pleased with the results of the building and that it was completed in time.

Our top story this afternoon, the Cojedan Senate was shook earlier when 42 Senators walked out from the floor in protest of a proposal by President Berrocal. The proposal, which would include the House of Representatives in the decision making of nominees to the federal courts. The Senators who walked out included Senator Jairo Lacassa and Senator Vicente Mina, the Majority and Minority Leader, respectively. Sen. Lacassa stated that his reason for walking out was because he felt that the President was in no position to make a proposal such as this and also stated that he is angry with the President for believing that he has any authority to propose such a law before the Senate. Of the other members who walked out, twenty-six were members of the National Conservative Union, twelve were of the Liberal Party, and four were Independents. The Senate tabled voting and will not consider a vote until later in the month. According to analyst, this will give time for the Majority and Minority leader to rally people against the proposal.

The Senate announced this morning that Antonia Navarro, one of the Senators of Mendoza Province, has been appointed as Deputy Chairman of the Senate. Former Deputy Chairman Caleb Fernandez resigned from his position earlier this week and nominated Senator Antonia Navarro to take over his position. The Senate convened this morning to hold the vote on the Senator and the appointment was confirmed in a vote of 248 to 20. The Senator thanked her fellow members for their trust in her. The Senator will be sworn in tomorrow morning in a special ceremony in the Senate Hall. President Juan Andrés Berrocal protested the appointed of the Senator as Deputy Chairman because of her being an outspoken critic of the President. Analyst have noted that the vote reflected the distrust of the President and how Senators will vote against the President's wishes.

We have a breaking news story coming from the House of Representatives. Speaker Catalina Jose Maria Estavez has brought forth a vote before the House to send forth Articles of Impeachment against President Berrocal to the Senate. The motion to begin the vote was brought forth by Representative Coalition Leader Enrique Alexander and Majority Leader Perla Lain. We now go live to Speaker Estavez who is addressing the House. "Members of the House of Representatives. I hereby announce the conclusion of the vote to bring forth articles of impeachment against President Juan Andrés Berrocal. Of the 364 members of the House, 327 have voted in favor, 20 have voted against, and 17 have abstained from voting or are not present. Therefore, the Senate may begin a trial against the President. In the meantime, Representative Diego Alejandro Andrade of Rosario City will take the position of Acting President of the Republic of Cojedes until such time as a decision is made by the Senate."

Due to the Articles of Impeachment brought before the President, Diego Alejandro Andrade will be sworn in as Acting President later tonight by Chief Justice of the Supreme Court Valeria Garcia and Chief Justice of the Constitutional Court Nikolai Rodriguez. Representative Diego Andrade has been a member of the House of Representatives for 8 years and has proven to be a reliable asset to the National Conservative Union and was among one of the first members of the National Conservative Party, the party of the past two President's before President Berrocal. The Representative will remain in the position of Acting President until the time a vote of the Senate to remove or exonerate President Berrocal takes place. The Senate will begin the trial against the President on Monday with a decision expected by the end of the month.

In other news, as several Senators and Representatives have discussed as of late the charges against President Berrocal are stimulating from two events. The first being the theft of 50 million pesos from the Cojedan Treasury, which took place two weeks ago. The Bureau of Investigation discovered that the money was transferred from the Treasury on order of the President to accounts that belong to him, his family, and his friends. 12 people in the President's inner circle have since been arrested for fraud and theft. The other charge is causing harm to the national public, stemming for the President's veto earlier this year on the budget which denied public funds and resources to hospitals, schools, and humanitarian agencies for 3 weeks. The Attorney General of Cojedes, Luciana Dengra, has announced that regardless of the Senate decision, President Berrocal will face criminal charges which could result in up to 25 years in prison.

Our top story, the Committee of State Intelligence made a staunch revelation today that has changed the tune of the Senate and House of Representatives. Chairman Luis Saelices spoke to the Senate this morning before the impeachment trial was to occur. The revelation before the Senate included overwhelming proof that President Berrocal did not steal from the government, but rather Attorney General Luciana Dengra and Intelligence Director Maximiliano Covarrubias were responsible for stealing the funds and framed President Berrocal so that he could be voted out of office. After the Senate reviewed the new evidence, the charges of impeachment against President Berrocal were immediately dismissed and the Senate voted to remove the Attorney General and Intelligence Director from their positions, also requesting that the Court of the First District of Cojedes consider federal charges against the two.

After President Berrocal was exonerated, he was restored to his position as President and gave a speech thanking the people for having faith and trust in him. President Berrocal also addressed the Senate by saying, "I am so pleased that the truth has been revealed to the people and the nation. I also thank the Senators and Representatives for doing their duty in this matter and investigating this case. I also thank Acting President Diego Alejandro Andrade for his service in the past few days. As a reward to him, I will be appointing him as Second Vice President." After the speech, Chief Justice Nikolai Rodriguez of the Constitutional Court swore Andrade in as Second Vice President and Andrade resigned from the House of Representatives, leaving a vacant seat in the House, which will have a member appointed by the Mayor of Rosario City.

Our top story, the provinces of Rosario and Mendoza are currently under a State of Emergency following the flooding of the Nokomis and Rosario Rivers. For the past couple of days, several feet of rain have fallen over the entire Eastern part of the country and the Nokomis and Rosario Rivers have both overflowed due to the storms. People in Rosario and Eastern Mendoza Province have been asked to evacuate as a matter of precaution. It is expected that the flooding will be 9 feet higher or more in some parts of Rosario and 12 feet of higher in Mendoza. It has also been reported in Northern Rosario Province that there is a potential for a 6 foot storm surge. President Berrocal has approved a federal emergency for both provinces and has also reiterated a warning to either evacuate or seek higher ground. "Rosario is a coastal city. There is not much place to go. I warn you all to please seek higher ground or to evacuate to the inner Mendoza Province or into Corrientes Province by way of the Unity Bridge." Schools, banks, and subway systems in both provinces have been shut down until further notice.

In other news, Secretary of Justice Luciana Dengra announced this morning that the former Attorney General and Intelligence Director of Cojedes will both face criminal charges before the First District Court of Cojedes. The announcement came after the revelation that they are responsible for the charges against President Berrocal. The two will face charges including fraud and theft and may face potential treason charges based on the decision of the court. "This is the most underhanded political move in recent history. It is a sham on our entire nation and we must stand against the people who want to undermine the government. These types of acts will not be allowed and I hope the court will see it as that." Arrest warrants were issued by the Rosario Municipal and San Juan Provincial Police against the two this afternoon. Federal and state charges have been issued against both.

Our top story this evening, former Mayor Antonio Saelices of Heravion passed away this morning at the age of 82. Saelices, who had been battling cancer for several years, decided in early June that he was no longer going to receive treatment any longer. After the years of treatment, the former mayor became bedridden by the beginning of August and would spend the rest of his days in the care of his family. At 8 AM this morning, Santiago Valiero, the Lieutenant Governor of the Province of Heravion, issued a statement that the former mayor had died in his sleep surrounded by his loved ones. President Berrocal issued his condolences and declared a 5 day mourning period while also applauding Saelices for his reforms, which led to the city building new roadways, a new subway transit, and for helping to create over 200,000 jobs in his 8 year term as mayor.

In other news, Secretary Malena Atenas and Second Vice President Diego Alejandro Andrade released findings today that revealed the total cost of damage from the recent flooding in Rosario and Mendoza Provinces will total 50 million pesos, nearly half of the original projected cost. The flooding, which began on 12 October, including storm surge amounting to 13 feet in Rosario and 15 feet in Mendoza. It is reported that 20,000 people are still not able to return home at this time in Rosario, with another 10,000 in Mendoza Province. The government has announced they will pay for these people to be able to stay at hotels and other facilities until they can return home. Mayor of Rosario, Alma Rasgado applauded people in Rosario who have opened their homes to those who cannot go back to their own. "This shows the true spirit of the Cojedan people. We help our fellow brother or sister in any way that we possibly can. Our top story tonight, the 2018-2019 hockey season began tonight! The game, widely considered the second most popular sport in all of Cojedes and the most popular of our winter sports, had its opener in the city of Resistencia, which has traditionally hosted the opener for the past twenty years. The Resistencia Municipal Ice Arena, which opened during the middle of the 2017-2018 season, welcome Cojedan Premier Division Champion HC Heravion, who battled against local team HC Resistencia. According to early reports, there were less than 50 seats left open in the 17,000 seat arena. The end result of the match was a 3-2 victory in favor of HC Resistencia. The next game in the Cojedan Premier Division will take place tomorrow and, as usual, Cojedes 24 will be here to bring you all the results. Tomorrow's match will feature HC Rosario against HC Corrientes in the city of Rosario, with special guests President Berrocal and his wife in attendance.

In other news, President Berrocal issued a statement earlier today condemning the terrorist attack that occurred in neighboring Ninhundland. After news of the attack taking place reached the President, he immediately offered condolences to the Ninhundish Ambassador to Cojedes and is scheduled to phone his associate in Ninhundland in the coming days. In his speech, President Berrocal declared, "Regardless of whether we have the best relationship with our neighbor or not, we condemn any and all forms of terrorism. Our top story this morning, President Berrocal announced yesterday that he would make a package of proposals before the National Assembly. The proposals, which include bills to fight addiction, lowering the income tax by 4%, and increasing state funds for people who wish to attend college or university, is one of the largest proposals ever put forth by the President to the National Assembly. In his speech regarding the package of proposals, President Berrocal stated that the lowering of the income tax was the least important of the three bills in his opinion and that the Senate and House of Representatives would be doing the country a huge favor if it would begin consideration of his bill regarding addiction and the bible on funds for colleges/universities. "The proposal to increase funding for schools would simply be to help with tuition cost. People who meet certain qualifications would be able to receive scholarships and financial aid worth anywhere from 28% to 32% of their higher education." The Senate and House will begin debates on the bills on Monday morning.

The Coast Guard of Cojedes declared earlier today that it would be deploying more ships in the coming days after reports of several calls from the people. Vicealmirante Santino Luis Mancebo told reporters after speaking with the Secretary of Internal Affairs that in recent days, the number of calls from civilians regarding trouble with boats has gone up. "We are receiving over 50 reports a day per section, for a total of over 200 for all 4 sectors. This is a huge contrast to our normal average of 20 reports a day per sector. I want to reassure the people that the Cojedan Coast Guard takes all reports seriously and will be checking out every report thoroughly. We will be increasing the number of ships in each section, adding 3 ships to each of the 4 Sectors, giving each a total 15 ships each." Malena Atenas, Secretary of Internal Affairs, declared that the Coast Guard would spare no expense in helping the people of the country when they need it out at sea.

The Secretary of Culture Adelgonda Cabello, announced this morning that the Cojedan National Song Contest and the Rosario Open had been put on hold for the time given until cleanup in Rosario is completed. The decision came after it was reported that Unity Arena in the capital city had some flooding and would not be able to host an event right away. Some of the stage that was to host the Song Contest was damaged in the flooding that took place. According to the Secretary, "I am sad that it has come to this. We will work together in the coming days and weeks to make things better to where the contest and Rosario Open will be held." The Secretary also reported that anyone who had bought tickets to these events would receive a full refund.

Our top story this morning, Aura Defense Industries announced a contract with the government this morning to unveil a new line of Infantry Fighting Vehicles. This new lines of IFV's will reportedly be the Fourth Generation of them here in Cojedes and will be called the C-432. The design was approved by the Department of Defense earlier today and a contract was reached stating that 42 were to be built for the Army. Aura Defense Industries CEO Isidoro Manzanedo said that information regarding the IFV would not be available at this time and that h expected the project to get underway by the middle of next week, with completion of the order expected between 2020 and 2022.

Silver Motors CEO Abel de la Cavallería and CFO Juan Diego Lacasa announced plans this morning for the unveiling of several new vehicles. The announcement this morning included plans to unveil a new truck called the Frontier. This announcement was not much of a surprise given that competitors TGA Automotive and Donto Automotive announced their intent to unveil new types of vehicles. Silver Motors declared that they would also begin making several changes to their current vehicles that are in stock. According to the CEO, "The Frontier will be an amazing design and truck for people across the nation and it will be something farmers and other workers in rural areas will want. As of this time, the car is expected to cost between $18,000 and $34,000 depending on which variant you get, which style you want, and what features you want on the truck." CFO Juan Diego Lacasa stated, "We are very excited to get these different vehicles underway. The Frontier will of course be our front runner in the coming weeks and months and we are very excited about it. We will of course be proudly presenting other vehicles in the coming months and years, including the Cima, Tempest, Apex, Eminance, and Dynamo, while also working to modify our current ones including the Falcón, the Mirage, and the Chase. We will be presenting a prototype power point of the Frontier at the Department of Transportation Conference in Rosario later this year." President Berrocal announced to the companies that he was proud they were going to be increasing competition. The President, a life long supporter of Silver Motors, has indicated that he will buy a Frontier.

Our top story this evening, former Secretary of Internal Affairs Julián Bienvenida has been arrested by local police in the city of Resistencia. Just a short while ago, the Department of Internal Affairs released a statement revealing that the former Secretary, who served under President's Evita Arias and Caleb Fernandez, was arrested around 8:25 PM at his home. According to local officials at the police department, the former cabinet member had an arrest warrant issued for violating the 1887 Anti-Slave Law. It was revealed by local officials that Bienvenida had 3 people working for him and that he was paying them 3,50 pesos an hour which, in the Province of Heravion, is 4,50 pesos less than the minimum wage. As well, he was not providing them health insurance, housing/board, or religious waiver as prescribed by Federal Law. Federal and state charges will be issued tomorrow at the former Secretaries hearing.

Vice President's Sebastian Rega and Diego Alejandro Andrade are en-route to the Prydanian Capital City of Beaconsviði to meet with the leaders of the country to discuss diplomatic relations and trade between the two countries. The two Vice President's left from Rosario International Airport only a few short hours ago and are expected to stay in Prydania for three to four days before returning to the Cojedan capital. It has been reported by state officials that the President of Cojedes has requested the two to attempt to negotiate a new trade agreement as well as an education exchange program between the two countries. The two are joined by the Secretary of Foreign Affairs Ari Miralles and by the Delegate to the PGU Catalina Agramonte, who is also Senior Advisor to Vice President Andrade.

Secretary of Education Xavier Ocampo was in the Province of Corrientes today for the grand opening of the University of Corrientes in the city of Emperdrado, the fourth largest city in the Province. The University opened after nearly 2 years spent on construction and gathering supplies for the University. The Secretary cut the red ribbon and gave a speech afterwards in which he applauded the effort of the workers and wish the best of luck to new students who will begin class in January 2019. After speaking before the University staff and press, the Secretary traveled to the city of Corrientes to persuade the Governor to add additional funding to the education budget of the province. The Secretary also made several proposals that are part of the Rosario 2022 Initiative for Education.

In other news, Secretary of Urban Development Isabel Indiano, Secretary of Energy Caleb Fernandez, and Secretary of Transportation Ximena Salinas will be touring the Western Provinces of Heravion, Santa Fe De La Vera Cruz, La Rioja, Córdoba, and Tucumán to view the landscape and make proposals for the expansion of current transportation routes, for the expansion of cities, increasing development of housing, and for the purpose of determining where solar, hydroelectric, wind, and nuclear plants could be built. At the current time, all three Secretaries are in Heravion Province and will begin with their month long mission tomorrow morning. It has been stated by several people that if a nuclear power plant is built in any of the provinces, that only one will be built and that it considered an option of last resort as the country already has 12 in operation and as the country is looking for alternatives to nuclear power.

Our top story this evening, Governor Diego Alejandro Sarmiento of Heravion Province met with Secretaries Isabel Indiano, Caleb Fernandez, and Ximena Salinas in the city of Heravion to discuss expansion in the province and the growing economy of the province, as well as the potential addition of housing, power plants, and transportation routes. Secretary Salinas produced plans for the expansion of the Heravion Metro, which has the second highest ridership per day in the country. Secretary Indiano on the other hand revealed plans that would grant the city of Heravion additional land so that housing could be built, while Secretary Fernandez discussed the addition of solar and wind farms in the province to help with the energy supply. It has been reported that the Governor agreed to all the proposals put before him. It was also noted by a spokesman for the Governor that the Secretaries brought congratulations to the Governor from the President for his response to the Rosario Initiative, which has made roughly 400,000 jobs available in the province, which roughly 1/4th of them already being filled. It is also noted that Heravion Province has the highest population growth of any province since the start of the year.

In other news, Antonio Pomar, Sofia Belmonte, Sergio Figueroa, and Aynia Timolova, the Secretaries of Treasury, Commerce, Labor, and Agriculture respectively will be holding a joint economic forum in the Entre Ríos Province in the coming week. This is a notable conference as it is being held at the same time as the Secretary of Defense and Secretary of Internal Affairs will be in neighboring Córdoba Province for the military and national guard drills. The conference was announced earlier this week and will be held at the Concordia Presidential Hotel. The conference is also notable as Entre Ríos is known for having the largest agricultural economy in the country. Local officials have welcomed the forum and have encouraged farmers and even agriculture students to attend to give their views on the state of agriculture in the province. We spoke to one farmer who said his family would be attending and that they were very excited to see all the Secretaries coming, especially Aynia Timolova who is a native of the province.

Our top story this morning, the Autumn Festival is in full swing across the country as people take to celebrating the 25 day period that began just yesterday. The festival began at midnight on the 1st of November and will include huge parties across the country on November 14th. President Berrocal has addressed people with reports that he is proud to be taking part in this festival and will be attending several different gatherings of the festival in the country. The Autumn Festival is also known for being the time of the year when all of the sales before Christmas occur. So far, several major companies including Aura and Solar have revealed their sales and have also put several items on sale already. Silver Motors announced that it would be beginning a sale on its vehicles by the middle of the Autumn Festival.

Famous Cojedan pianist Jairo Tejedor will be giving a concert performance in the city of Santa Fe de la Vera Cruz tonight at the Municipal Stadium with several famous guest in attendance. This is the first time in two years that Tejedor has performed anywhere in the country following an incident with a fan in 2016 that left one of his hands injured and required physical therapy to repair. Tejedor then announced in early October that he was coming out of his hiatus and would give his first performance at the Municipal Stadium, which is where his career began roughly 15 years ago at the age of 18. There will be several notable guest attendees including President Berrocal, former President Caleb Fernandez, former Vice President Valentina
Perón.

Our top story, President Berrocal signed Presidential Proclamation #5713-27 today, officially continuing the tradition of Declaring a Day of Thanksgiving. In 1919, the National Assembly and Regional Parliaments declared a National Day of Thanksgiving to be on 22nd November. Every year since then, the President has always signed a proclamation to ring in the Thanksgiving Day celebrations. President Berrocal wished everyone a great and fun day with their families and wished everyone safe travels during the sales that will take place starting today and through the weekend. It is expected that Cojedans will spend over 200 billion pesos this year on Christmas gifts due to the growing economic trend and paychecks being a little more filled this year due to higher wages and lower taxes this year. Atlas Industries and Aura Corporation are expecting their highest ever yearly holiday sales on record, with both projecting over 15 billion each.

In other news, cities across the nation are preparing for their 100th Annual Christmas Parade! In 1918, amid a great economic year for the country, the Cojedan government, which met in Heravion at the time, decided to host a Christmas Parade that eventually became an annual tradition, even though the country suffered through several different conflicts after that period. The tradition has continued to take place even after the capital was moved to Rosario and still sees the highest turnout of any parade. This year will have an extra special twist as it will be the first parade to include veterans and all the contestants who are expected to perform in the Cojedan National Song Contest will be performing at some point during the parade. Past President's and Current President Berrocal are expected to be at the event on December 22nd.

Our top story, this past weekend the first ever Cojedes National Song Contest was held in Heravion at Heravion Municipal Stadium! The event saw the turnout of roughly 30,000 people with over 14 million people tuning in at home for the event. The contest was hosted by Marcos Juderías and Delfina Aguinaldo with commentators being appointed by local news stations in each province. After every contestant had given their performance, people in the stadium and at home were given the ability to vote up to 20 times for which act they wanted to win, with the ability to award votes to several different performers. In the end, Rafaela Vera won with her song Tormenta (Storm), bringing home to gold for Córdoba Province. Rafaela was presented the trophy by President Berrocal and by the two hosts of the show. Rosario City came in second, while Heravion Province took 3rd place. Rafaela has been invited to perform at the New Year's Events in Rosario.

In other news, the Cojedan Navy announced earlier this morning that it will be carrying out trials in Cojedan waters to better prepare the Navy in case war or a humanitarian disaster occurs. The Navy, which added over 1,500 new sailors this year from the military schools, has also brought forth several new ships this year which have yet to be sent through trials, many of which will see their first time out of harbor this month. The trials are set to begin on 1st December with all Cojedan Aircraft and Helicopter Carriers, along with 75% of the rest of the Navy taking part in the trials, while the remainder of the ships and the Coast Guard will be tasked with defense operations. These trials will also see the first time that three women are in charge of the operations at the same time with Vice Admiral Teresa Pardo in the Naesser, Admiral Ines Zorita in the North, and Vice Admiral Antonia Semprún in the East.

We start this evening by reporting that a State of Emergency was issued this morning in the Santa Fe de la Vera Cruz Province this morning after a letter was received by the San Anledo Nuclear Power Plant, threatening to blow the plant up. The Governor of the province immediately issued a state of emergency and sent 300 members of the State Guard to the power plant. 500 members of the Army were also sent with roughly 35 vehicles. The threat was never carried through but the Governor told the press that the State Guard will be retaining a permanent presence at the power plant. This is the second time in three months that a nuclear plant has been threatened and has caused legislators and military personnel in Rosario to look into ways to combat these threats quicker.

Former Vice President Valentina Perón has announced that she is officially coming out of retirement and will run for election in the upcoming Special House of Representatives election for the 7th District for the City of Santa Fe da la Vera Cruz, which is the same District she represented from 2003 until 2005. Earlier this week, the seat became vacant when Representative Julieta Aparicio died in a car accident in the middle of a winter storm. According to the law, an election must be held within 60 days of the death, resignation, or removal of any member of the House. The election date has been set for January 6th and so far, the former Vice President is winning in polls by over 30%. She has been endorsed by all former living President's and Vice President's, along with 9 Provincial Governors and all members of the National Conservative Union who serve in the House and Senate.

Our final story, while not many details have been revealed yet, it has been reported to us that after the new year, the Cojedan capital will be hosting a conference with the nations of Andrenne and Goyanes. The report was issued by the Presidential office and stated that the nations leaders are in the beginning stages of planning a conference and that Rosario has extended an invitation for them to come here after the New Year.
