"This could be a harmless prank but we will continue to search everything and everywhere until we are 100% sure about what happened. Today in the news, recreational marijuana has finished being legalized in all provinces, the last to go being Sundeon and Port Rally. The movement to legalize the drug for non-medical use has been around since the late 80's and has slowly been legalized, province by province. Now, it is available in all the provinces.

The protesters of Malorian oil drilling near Senneran has continued their ways. Yesterday, they were stopped from going closer to the oil drills, and it fell apart thirteen hours after its original start. Nobody was killed or injured, luckily, and it didn't escalate past a peaceful protest.

Due to the Cimmeria/Cogorian conflict cooling down, soldiers and ships have come home. The number of enlisted soldiers has gone from 50,000 to 30,000. Sailors has gone from 70,000 to 65,000. We thank you for your service to the Queen and your country.

Landagraegn Technologies has once again teamed up with the Esplandian government to expand their highspeed rail system. Currently they only run a single line from Karthied to Genova, but now following approval from the Ministry of Transportation, Landagraegn intends to expand the number of lines across the country and start construction on the first leg of their new line by September. The first leg will run from Genova to Taeberus and should be completed by 2019, before being extended to Lothriaegn and across the Raedstrakt into Gothelif.

They'll also begin construction in the spring of next year on a line that will run from Rackhaem to Karthied and then over the mountains to Idjo, updating the nations railway that was built in the early 1920s. The goal will be to connect all the Kingdoms major city centers with a high speed line by the 2030s.

The first high speed rail, known as the Karthied-Genova Line, was opened in 2014 and has proven to be used far more than airlines travelling between the two cities. It's success has been met with demands for more lines which has been delayed due to environmental concerns. After numerous meetings and discussions with the government, Landagraegn Technologies was eager to announce that the various ministries have finally signed off on a plan that their CEO, Jaevar Medrek, says will satisfactory meet all the governments environmental and safety requirements.

The Grande Cremeden Arena Finished Construction!
The Grande Cremeden Arena has its construction finished earlier this morning! The grand arena, the largest in Cremeden, and one of the largest in Eras has been completed! The arena was built in honour of Cremeden's founding which will occur in a few days, almost a hundred years ago in the year 1914. A large national parade will occur in the arena. The arena is located a few kilometers away from the edges of Cremegrad (aka Moonberg), the Cremeish Capitol.

Prince Cedric will be crowned as the new King tomorrow in his coronation at midday. He once again stated they there will be a change in the the nation's name and identity, and that he will restore the legacy of the royal family that was made many years ago. He also stated that other nations will be invited to attend the coronation, and that he wishes to create diplomatic ties to the international community.

Federal Police have caught and arrested the individuals part of the previous terror attacks before the former Prime Minister Brighton was killed. The ones responsible for the attacks were caught in a police raid, then they started firing on police. Authorities finally then managed the move in, and arrest the individuals responsible. Police have refused to further discuss any information on the suspects, have concluded that they will face the consequences, and that peace will once again be assured.

Finally, the House of Commons has proposed a new law that will reinstate the former Ministry of Government Overnight, or create a new government ministry responsible for keeping corruption within the government to a minimum. Their reasoning for this is because of the chaos that came from disbanding the previous government, and that this law will ensure that the government will work hard to restore their integrity, and to avoid the mistakes of the previous government.

Following the negative attitude of the Singapuran Government towards Ninhundland about tourism and embassies, Singapura will be denied any embassies or consulates with Singapuran diplomats in Ninhundland. Further more a travel ban has been placed on Singapurans for coming from a untrustworthy melting pot nation with a government that knows next to nothing about Foreign Policies.

Today in the news, even more military personnel have been excused. Soldiers from the Army have been reduced from 30,000 to 20,000. Naval personnel, from 65,000 to 60,000. This is part of a demilitarization, ordered by the parliament, in order to ease the pressure on the still continuing modernization of the Kanadian military. Also, due to the signing of peace soon arriving between Kanadian ally, Cogoria, for their conflict against Cimmeria, the need for military personnel is needed less. We thank the soldiers and sailors for their service for the Queen and their country.

Meanwhile, due to the agreement with Necerierra, 600 Kanadian mountaineers will be transported to Necerierra to assist the nation's army against the fascist and other uprisings happening inland. In other news High Duke Martinus has announced that he will be attending the knighting of his great grandson Marek. It is said that Marek will be joining the ranks of the Royal House Order of Severyn which is headed by the Emperor himself. The High Duke has shown much respect and happiness for his great grandson as he himself can remember whenever he joined the order under Emperor Magnus III.

Todd, the changes hugely affect both the executive and legislative branches in a move lauded by the commons, but rumors suggest that part of the changes were struck as a deal to save the nobles from being cut from government entirely. I have a few bullet points about the changes that should explain to our viewers what's going on...

• First, the Chamber of the Nobility and the Chamber of the Commons are merged to form a single Parliament body. Thirty-seven seats in this body, 13 going to hereditary peers, 24 being elected. Now they are one body and legislation now requires majority approval from the combined body. The next election for the elected seats is still scheduled for 2019.
  
• Second, part of the deal that silenced the objections from the peers, Alice Dorsett, Princess Claidie's sister, now shares power, becoming the 18th Princess of Sil Dorsett, and together with the Prime Minister form a Regency Council, which acts as "one monarch, three persons", with additional rules to follow.
  
• The Prime Minister's term is no longer lifetime. It's now an infinitely renewable six-year term, with Prime Minister Ellison's term being deemed to have started almost a year ago, leaving her with five before needing to seek re-election.
  
• The Prime Minister can no longer be removed by the Princess, since now there's two, and instead three-fourths of Parliament must impeach the Prime Minister on felony charges which must result in a conviction in front of the Principality High Court before removal can happen. This is probably a move to prevent the new Parliament from removing an uncooperative Prime Minister to try to sway the Regency Council votes, because...
  
• Legislation from Parliament now requires two out of three signatures from the new Regency Council to become law.
  
• Royal Decrees, which Princess Claidie wanted to eliminate, remain but are much harder to pull off, requiring all three of the Regency Council members to sign off on them.
  
• Department Ministers now require confirmation by two out of three members of the Regency Council to take office.
  
• The succession rules are complicated now, with both sisters creating their own branches for their seat, and in the event a branch goes extinct, the previous primogeniture rules are applied to establish a new branch.

This is some big stuff, Todd, and it will be very interesting to see how this shakes up politics here in the principality.

In what could be called the first major test of the new Regency Council, Parliament, in its new configuration, passed a bill along party lines, 25 to 12, to withdraw the Principality from the Phoenix Union. The bill was expected to receive a 2 to 1 against vote with the Regency Council, but in an unexpected twist, the council voted unanimously against. It was expected that Princess Alice would have voted for the bill, but instead voted against it. When asked about the decision, her spokesperson told NNN, quote...

Princess Alice recognizes that in today's environment with threats around the world, remaining with the Phoenix Union ensures the safety and security of the Principality, and withdrawing would have exposed the Principality to unacceptable danger.

In sports news, Coweta Motorsports conducted another test of Grand Touring race car at the Westton circuit on Saturday. While setting comparably quick times, the team reported reliability problems with the V8 engine, citing dropped cylinders over long distances. The team states that they're working round the clock to resolve the issues before the start of the GT International season.

Today in the news, reports are flooding in of a riot in Fort Sean, creating traffic across nearly all of the CC-2 highway within the city limits. Apparently, they are rooting for the independence of Sundeon. A very popular speculation in Fort Sean, that is, but nothing this violent has been seen since the 90's.

Armed Riot Police (ARP) were put into action, but they were simply outnumbered on a huge amount. It is unknown how many people are participating in the riot, but the city police have been forced to evacuated before stations were mobbed. The military base roughly 11 miles away in the mountains have been alerted, and an unspecified amount of soldiers have been sent to help the struggling ARP. More information on the conflict will be brought soon.

In other news, Kanada has accepted to give aid to Prydania, a struggling nation emerging from a civil war. Multiple PGU countries will be using Kanadian airbases due to close proximity between Kanada and Prydania.

A state of emergency has been issued, with the national guard coming. Due to these sudden events, the Premier and Vice Premier are unable to attend the Ninhundish and Samarian cermonies. A few minutes after, a car sped through a field of protesters, killing many.

Today, the Imperial Goyanean Navy has completed the efforts that have been the fruits of the Warfare Modernization Act of 2007, which pulled the once-mothballed battleship HMS Nyhett into modern service. Before the battleship could go into service however, the ship had to be refitted with modern technologies. This included the installation of a nuclear reactor with a steam turbine to power the three new propeller shafts. The ship was also equipped with new, modern, cruise missile launching cells. The ship has also had anti-ship missile batteries installed as well. In addition to the new missile silos, 5 new close-in weapons system batteries were installed, and two RAM (rolling airframe missile) launchers were installed. The ship was also equipped with new radar systems compliant with the Series III integrated combat radar systems in use by both Goyanes and Ceretis. These recent modernizations have ensured that the ship remains a competitive and formidable player in the naval aspect of today's modern combat world.

The HMS Nyhett began its life in 1939, when the Goyanean war effort against the Imperyk in the Northwestern theatre of the Fascist Wars became dire on the naval end. The Imperial Navy needed a formidable adversary, with speed, reliability, and power. The Government placed a procurement order in early 1939, and by January 1940, the shipyards at Christensen and Ostende Shipyards in Hanninshavn-på-Nordstrøm, Osanhalt, near the large city of Hofsvægr, were ready to lay down the keel. She was launched in mid 1942, and by 1943, the ship was commissioned in a fairly non-prestigious ceremony, and was sent to the marine front of the NW theatre. She was an effective killer, taking out coastal targets, and marine targets alike. In 1955, she was decommissioned, only to be recommissioned in 1966, decommissioned 10 years later, then recommissioned again in 1983, only to be decommissioned in 1990.

The need for a large scale fighting ship was needed with the changing shape of naval warfare in the 21st century, and in 2007, the HM Government ordered the refitting of the ship to modern standards. The work was completed at the Jægerstrom Christensen and Ostende Shipyards. The ship was completed this year after a few minor procurement delays, but the ship has completed sea trials over the last 6 months, and she has had her re-christening, with the Grand Emperor christening the ship HMS Nyhett.

Premier Alexandre Vokel comments, "This is an assasination by our enemies. We will not forget this dastardly attack that has killed our beloved Vice Premier." A replacement for Mr. Perrot has not been named yet.

127th Annual Veterans and Armed Forces Day Parades

Today, the 80th anniversary of Goyanes entering the Fascist Wars and the yearly Veterans and Armed Forces Day, was marked with parades in nearly every city in the nation. The two biggest parades on this holiday, the Gojannesstad and Jægerstrom Parades, were quite the visual spectacle. The parades are also a chance for the Goyanean Imperial Military to showcase the latest and greatest technology to the general public.

The Gojannesstad parade was coordinated by Army Senior Music Director Jon Lejnbinger. It is his 22nd year coordinating the annual parade for the capital city. The parade started off with a selection of military music performed by the bands of the 194th Airborne Division, the 10th Infantry Division, and the Imperial Knights Corps Military Band. The three bands then joined together to play both national anthems, Gud Lagra and Nordmannen.

Next up was the Ground Column, which comprised (in order) of the Grand Emperor's Color Guard, the 1st Gojannesstad Honor Guard Company, a detachment of cadets from the Krojansar Military Academy, a detachment of midshipmen from the National Navy Academy, a detachment of cadets from the National Air Force Academy at Sør-Gojannesstad, the 9th Battalion of the Imperial Knights Corps, the 6th Cavalry Regiment, the 104th Airborne Regiment, 44th Engineers Division, the 82nd Imperial Naval Infantry Battalion, the 55th Infantry Regiment, the 107th Women's Infantry Unit, the Northern Brigade of the Imperial Military Police, and the 45th Goyanean Geldkrieger Regiment.

In close pursuit of the Ground Column of the parade was the Foreign Troops Ground Column. In order, they were the the Andrennian battalion, the Cogorian battalion, the Malorian battalion, the Mouxordian battalion, and the Samarian battalion.

After the ground columns there was a display of mobile technology, including SAM missile systems, tanks, armored personnel carriers, mobile howitzers, artillery, and more.

Following the mobile column there was a spectacular display of precision aerobatics by the Air Vikings demonstration team.

In the coastal city of Jægerstrom the main focus of the day was not the ground parade, but the annual naval parade. The Imperial Navy showed a ship of each class in their fleet, and the main event of the show was the newly rechristened HMV Nyhett battleship firing a full broadside from her 9 massive sixteen-inch guns.

91 starts, 16 podiums, a single victory coming only this year. The record doesn't seem all too impressive if it weren't for the driver that sat in this machine. Five years sitting in the driver's seat, one of which surrounding a day job nearly a million could only dream about. We, of course, speak of Claidie Dorsett, both an SRS Juniors driver, but also once the sole head of state prior to her own reformations.

One would think a Princess, the then-sole ruler of Sil Dorsett, wouldn't bother to put her well-being on the line for sport, but Claidie has made it her modus operandi to not let politics get in the way of what she loves. Even more so, she sees her involvement as an endorsement of what is to come.

Today, Claidie Dorsett announced her retirement from the SRS Juniors series, but she's not done with motorsport altogether. At the same time, she announced a deal with Coweta Motorsport to be one of their drivers for the brand new SRS Electric Series.

It is with the deepest sadness that the Ascension Council announces the death of Her Majesty our beloved Queen Mary II. Queen Mary ruled over our land and our people with great honor, dignity, and love for 22 years. Her Royal Highness then-Archduchess Mary took the throne at the age of 49 in 1995 following the deaths of His Majesty her father King Edward III and her eldest brother His Royal Highness Archduke George. Queen Mary was preceded in death by her father King Edward III, her mother, Queen Jane, a sister, Elizabeth, Duchess of Plains, and two brothers George, Archduke of Vestencia and Hamlet, and James, Most High Duke of Surry . Her husband, His Royal Highness Prince Anthony, has asked for the prayers and love of the people his wife loved so dearly. May God have mercy on Queen Mary's soul.

The Queen's funeral will be held on August 31st. Any and all nations not currently at war with the United Kingdom of Silloam are welcome and invited.

Following the confirmation of Queen Mary's death, the Ascension Council called before itself Richard, Archduke of Vestencia and Hamlet, son of Queen Mary II and heir to the throne, in order to offer him the Crown. Archduke Richard politely refused citing his inability to appear as a stabilizing and unifying figure for the people. Therefore, Richard has been made Proctor of Plains and has abdicated the throne. It seem that he has intentions to carry out what he had promised to the country, and restore the nation's identity.

His Majesty's Imperial Goyanean Navy is proud to announce that the battleships HMV Hysende and HMV Nordgotmark have completed their refitting at the C&O Shipyards, and are to commence sea trials this week, all in time for the two remaining ships of the refurbished battleship class to be commissioned at a grand ceremony later this month.

The ships follow their sister, the HMV Nyhett in a new series of modern, yet classic ships, that are able to efficiently carry large amounts of armament, power, and technology, all in a tough and sturdy package. There will be another press release once the two ships have completed their sea trials and are commissioned.

King Sherwin announced his appointment of his new Royal Chancellor this afternoon following a week long wait for his choice. The new Royal Chancellor will replace Raemond Montgomarae, who stepped down due to health reasons. Sherwin's announcement to the Landesgrad was a ceremonial formality, and upon the next meeting of the legislative body, the new appoint will take up position as the head of government.

Sherwin named Raum Kolta as chancellor. Kolta is a former diplomat to Walken-Strasberg and most recently headed the Ministry of Culture. While former Chancellor Montgomerae is a member of the Nobility, holding the title of Duke of Drastolwuold, Kolta is a non-noble. This perhaps marks a drastic shift in Sherwin's policy of filling his council with members of the royal class.

The new, refit Kanadian army is continuing towards completion on quite swiftly. After heavier funding from the Queen's word, the nation is arming again after slight relaxation of the armed forces after the Crown Conflict. Five thousand soldiers have been sent to both the Cogorian and Malorian border, with no intent of invasion, and the coastal forts have been filled.

Meanwhile, Kanadian arms manufacturing increases again, with light fighting vehicles in production along with multiple types of artillery. These expansions are in hope to possibly expand the economy and better arm the Kanadian military.

Calgarian Militiaman (Hockey) player, Gorben Orlan, has been hospitalised after taking a blow to the head during a game. It was found that his helmet strap was not properly tightened, and took a concussion when hit with a stick. His current condition is unknown to the media, but hope that this popular offenseman will soon return to the ice is high.

Accompanied by a Fluttr post just minutes after, the announcement is garnering massive positive attention from much of the population. President Gogovi? is one of the most popular political figures in Mouxordia, with a near 90% approval rating and a massive support base. However, his decision is a needed and welcome boost to the Mouxordian economy and its power on Meterra. Entering the META means that Mouxordia will no longer be subject to taxes and tariffs by other META members (and vice versa), and its citizens will not be required to attain working visas to live or work in other META member-states. Additionally, the most powerful aspect of the acceptance is the joint military cooperation between all member states. With an attack on one member being a de facto attack on all, the treaty serves as an effective deterrent against any outside threats that wish harm upon the continent. Support for META membership has been high for months, and continues to be the trend among polls. This move not only strengthens Mouxordia, but President Gogovi?'s political assurance of a second term in office.
