OOC Ominous signs

But we'll see how the naval battle goes first, gonna end up with international community condemning you XD

They have nothing to condemn. We haven't taken any action against you. Sure we issued a declaration of war, doesn't mean we are going to exactly act upon it.

If you destroy any planes of mine, we will invade your territory. You did not obey clear warnings that were broadcast on all frequencies 3 times.

Yeah but you opened fire on civilian and naval vessels of Cogoria trying to reenter Cogorian waters. For once Cogoria is in the right :P strange feeling

You had military escorts and we are allied with Techislovakia. We asked you to stop and made you aware of the consequences. You did not obey the order, thus you got the consequences.

Russian MIGs and SUs, the bomber fleet is made of supersonic TUs, but they're not not in the sky yet other than fighter patrols over the land

Cogoria:
There'll be nothing for you to fight, I adhere to the soviet air tactics rather than american.
lol keep your cobra manoeuvres to yourself :P

I'm confused. People are attacking each other! I thought this was a peaceful passive aggressive blockade, not an aggressive passive aggressive blockade

holy crap, 12 million goy's. Techislovakia cannot compete with that! my pop is only 18 mil. I guess my ships may be retreating slightly. I never wanted a war! just to blackmail cogoria

Tech, Jacksonville is having no part in the war just so ya know. We thought we were, but false report.

I know that the RP story is non-canon but I just wanted to note that military numbers / strength should be relatively within the realm of reason of what your nation can support on an economic level (from an RP perspective). Going off of real world numbers, the largest standing military (active personnel only) is China at 2.3 million soldiers with the largest overall military belonging to North Korea at 7.7 million soldiers which is spread across active, reserves and paramilitary. Generally those of us who participate in RP war scenarios, aim for somewhere between 0.2% - 0.4% of our nations total population.

Just a friendly little note since I see Cogoria with a standing military of 9 million and then Goyanes topping that with 12 million.

Cogorian population is 30,000,000 i have universal conscription and at standing 5% is active army with all reserves called up 30%of population can be put under arms. Its not too unreasonable a figure.

Cogoria, I think you and I use roughly the same (I think yours is higher to be honest) percentage breakdown when figuring out military numbers. My comment was mostly an outside observation since some elements of non canon RP can carry over into canon RP.

I used the same percentages in Pelhafor. Though to reach that percentage the ranks include 18-50 year olds as all classes of reserves are called up.

Tech, did your fleet join in on shooting at my fleet or was it just Goyanes? Gotta know which fleet to delete

Yeah, I have like 180 mil people. The 12 million Goys is normal. The peacetime army is around 2 million. Drafting is also very easy because between high school and college, you recieve one year of mandatory military training in Goyanes.

And I have about 300 ships in the region at the moment. And there will be no fleet "deleting" of my navy's 1st fleet. I have 3 fleets, so about 900 ships at disposal. My nation loves it's military.

Goyanes:

Uh... no nation in the North Pacific has the capability of hosting a naval fleet of 900 ships. All of the nations are simply too small to do so.

Again using a real world comparison, the largest naval fleet (by ship size) is the United States Navy which stands at 430 total ships (of which about 275 are deployable). Considering there is no nation in the North Pacific the size of the United States, realistically you are looking at a high end of 150 or so ships for the larger navies in the region.

I'm mainly commenting on this stuff now since if a war scenario does play out in canon, I'd rather see everyone stay within the realm of reason and not have armies / navies / tech that skew the RP.

This also includes small patrol craft, and major warships, Goyanes does not have a coast guard, that is branched into the navy, also I would not use such exaggerated numbers in a canon RP.

And Im not exaggerating when I say I can wipe it out fairly effortlessly. Cogoria has a large arsenal of Sunburn missiles for which in real life there are no effective counter measures. From the time it is possible for an enemy to detect it to the time it has impacted it's target is 25 seconds. The current american Aegis system which is regarded as one of the best in the world needs 120 seconds to defend against a missile attack, which would preferably need to be subsonic like all america ASMs, while Sunburn travels at mach 3. Your fleet migh as well be row boats, the only way to stop it is to shoot down the bombers before they launch their payload of 16 missiles, which is hard as they can launch from 250 km away, and would be protected by fighters. So two soviet sized air regiments (70 bombers each) can launch 2240 Sunburns. And I'm being nice cause Soviet tactics call for sending more than 2 regiments on a raid :)

Though I'm going to wait for Tech to say if he joined in the shooting, cause those missiles may need to be split between your fleets. Still think theres enough to get the job done :)

Well you'd have to get ships close enough to land troops...... And sunburn comes in coastal launch variants, you'd have to nuke the coast and send troops in through the fallout to get them ashore

A screw it, Its non canon, I'll shoot at Tech anyway. Also just remembered I only put one regiment on alert so there are only 1120 sunburns coming at ye....

1120 sunburns? How do you afford that? Also, I'm gonna launch my nukes as soon as you launch those sunburns...

So youre going to nuke a nation for sinking your ships that just slaughtered thousands of innocents XD (I'm only attacking the fleet blockading Cogoria) I afford them by having a very small navy of 3 capital ships plus escorts a few cruisers and 2 out dated subs. My nation pours a lot of funding into the airforce. Even most of my infantry don't have body armour, the airforce especially the strategic bombers are the best funded and most advanced arm of my military

Also you're lucky I'm using Soviet Union tech, cause in 2012 the Russians made the Sizzle which is even better..... (Sunburn was 1981 and is still in use and being sold to china and india and a few others)

Well I'm writing a post that Goy says will get me nuked, so feel free to nuke him, no idea why you'd nuke me.... Though I guess nukes are inherently fun
