OOC: RP Brainstorm Thread

Its so obvious you don't have that extension and you just switch Sytarenne to Unbearable idiot

And by the way, if you don't think the Slave trade nor epidemic would work (they are more interesting then waging war all day), then which RP do you think would be better?

Here's a better question. if there was a slave trade, where would the slaves be imported from, hm?

Añola.

Freaking genius.

It's always been a weak backwards nation, this'd also give them more reasons to hate foreigners.

Let's have something like Django Unchained. Whip those slaver motherf*ckers.

EDIT: What should I do now with Pelhafor?

I already mentioned to Kannex that I'd have been secretly putting pressure on his slave markets. Plus I've been looking for others to do this and other interesting RP including nation to nation RPs for quite some time. If you're interested let me know and we can discuss.

Sytarenne:
I thought we were doing the New Continents. Not just an area the size of Rhode Island.
A few of us have shot down the idea of using the new continents as that is textbook god-modding and writing the new continents history.

Edit: Just to clarify what I mean... Say you do a slave trade rp from the area north of Tir na Andalucia. Now, say in two weeks time a new nation is claimed there and says that the slave trade isn't a part of their history, 1) no one can force them to accept the slave trade as part of their history and 2) it invalidates the entire base of the scenario.

I am very much in need of a reason to not close this topic immediately.

Please provide me with one by cutting the spam.

A strange child appears with no explanation.

A young man comes forward claiming to be the rightful heir to the Cronaal throne.

Strange sounds can be heard echoing in a canyon, it doesn't sound natural, and they can't seem to find the source.

A character contracts a rare illness.

What's the deal with the third one? Sounds more sci-fi. I'd do it.

I still want to do a millenarian terrorist group. I think I'll reboot Pelhafor to fit this new RP scenario when I have the time.

One day I'd like to do an RP where an airline pilot decides he can shave time and fuel by deviating from the approved approach and shoots the gap in our western mountains. Unfortunately this puts him right in the path of a lot of turbulence and he crashes deep in the unexplored jungle of Tlalocan, where we cannot get to them and won't even try ("lost in the wilderness" :) ) A handful of survivors from different nations have to find their way out.

Just don't ask our dragons to get them for you. :P

Asks Darcania for help, instantly regrets it as the realization that survivors equals food is not in the best interest of the majority of nations...

Though in all honesty, this could be a very interesting role-play if people are involved and want to do it right.

Actually I'd love to have your dragons involved in Sadakoyama somehow, someday, when you get back in the game. Maybe a ancient feathered cousin or something?

There are varieties. Just, you know, don't stick tentacles on them.

We could do the terrorist group in Pelhafor. We could have some kind of 9/11-esque incident, maybe?

We can call it 11/9 and there'll be 4 towers and 16 planes.

Kannex:
Hm, perhaps I'll do an RP about dragons in Kannex. They'll be German-speaking.
Good luck with the German-speaking dragons. Darcania wouldn't let me do anything with the dragons I proposed there to be in Syrixia, and after 3 pages of arguments he ended the conversation. :tb1:

That could work out. We can talk about that later, if you want. When I get back to RPing, I'll open an OOC thread to invite those who want dragon clans to have some if they wish, though, naturally, not everyone would be accepted depending on their history, IC and OOC.
Nebula:
Dragons don't live in Nebula. Too cold.
Dragons can survive in cold climates. There are plenty of different kinds of dragons. They're all scaled so far because they're either all from the southeast or don't have a nation associated with them yet.

Eight.

Ok, if you want to air the dirty laundry, we can.

I let you do plenty. Almost the entirety of the clan's history was made by you to match your history; I simply modified it so it would make sense considering that they're my characters and members of my nation. I let you keep your happy ending, I let you keep your subclans, I let you keep your Kyloth, I let you keep your Asayis, and many more. Further, I ended the conversation because you have a long history of cherry-picking my words and ignoring the rest. This is the eighth time now, and I'll keep a running tally. If you go long enough without increasing that tally, then perhaps I'll consider it again.

Nebula:
I don't really want a large dragon population. That's the OOC reason.
Dragon clans aren't usually very large at all. Kroning, which has 93 members, is about the average size. The largest is Adalet, and that doesn't have more than 1,000. Naturally, though, it's your country and therefore your decision; I simply let you know of the option.

Of course, the above numbers were based on a couple previous false assumption and are thus out-of-date, so I'm going to run some more numbers to get a more accurate number.

How long lived are they, and would a solitary one cope well or would he have issues?

Darcania, do you have a factbook or anything about your dragons? I'd like to know more, ecologically, about your dragons before I RP my own.
