ARCHIVED: The Rhuvish War

A Nebulan cargo ship headed for Rhuvanland. Its cargo was ten air squadrons and several expert pilots and flight trainers. It was headed for the socialist- held area.
The ship had no escorts. It had several mounted guns, but these would be last resort. The Emperator was counting on the guarantee of nuclear war to prevent attack. A single spy plane flew far above, monitoring the status of the ship. If it was attacked, the plane had orders to contact Nebulan high command immediately...

Near Rhuvish waters, a Kannexan destroyer and a frigate spotted and intercepted the Nebulan cargo ship. Missiles and torpedoes were readied, and a nearby Kannexan submarine was also alerted and scoured the area for additional Nebulan forces. The Kannexan captain ordered the cargo ship to turn back or face destruction.

Syrixian air forces conducted a series of their now-trademark bombing runs, obliterating what were thought to be supply lines, when in actuality most of the lines had been transferred to the cleverly hidden tunnels. Thus, communist forces continued to advance, swallowing up the eastern part of Rhuvanland cut off from the main enemy territory in the process. However, the ground attack on communist territory did create a link from Bürheim City to Mornechburg, the capital of Monamien, and a possible path to the northern airfields. However, communist forces were quickly converging upon the Bürheim City-Mornechburg prong, and the joint Syrixian-Rhuvish force which created it had to defend themselves.

When the cargo ship was hailed by the Kannexan vessels, the captain simply laughed. "Any attack on this ship constitutes an act of war. Such a war would lead to nuclear deployment. Do you want to go down in history as the man who caused a nuclear holocaust?"
He thought for a second, then added, "No, you wouldn't go down in history, because there wouldn't be anyone left to remember you."

The captain pondered thoughtfully. "We have our orders." On the radio: "This is your last warning. Turn back or face destruction. You are violating the blockade of Rhuvanland. I repeat, turn back or face destruction."

"You idiot," said the Nebulan captain, "don't you get it? Shoot at us and everybody you love dies in a blaze of radiation. We know this, and we're taking advantage of the fact that you don't want to be responsible for it. Now contact your superiors before you go any further with this."

"We have our orders." The torpedoes and missiles were readied and the target locked. Merely one well-placed torpedo hit would sink the vessel, but the Kannexan captain waited, hoping the crazy-talking Nebulans would come to their senses. "I suggest you turn back now." Then he cut transmission.

Meanwhile, as well as the imposition of a blockade by Kannex on Rhuvanland, a blockade was also imposed by the communists and their ships, with the goal of creating naval battles all around Rhuvanland so no soldier in Bürheim could escape, as well as distracting the Kannexan navy. Communist soldiers attacked the prong on both sides, surrounding soldiers in numerous positions and utterly destroying the prong. Syrixian and FR Rhuvish soldiers fell back to Bürheim to make a last stand, successfully creating a sort-of hemisphere around Bürheim City. They moved into rings of defensive formations along the border of the hemisphere, creating a hard defensive "wall" that the communists would be hard pressed to fight against. The communists, however, would not be so unlucky, as the soldiers did not have anti-aircraft missiles with them, and with the capture of Alzenstadt came the former FR Rhuvish air force. Syrixian air forces currently had air supremacy, however, so if the communists were to attack from the air as planned in order to make a path for their land soldiers, they would have opposition.

The cargo ship stopped.

Another ship appeared on the horizon, a Nebulan aircraft carrier. The cargo ship began lifting fighters in shipping containers onto the deck of the carrier with an attached crane. The carrier crew opened the containers. Pilots got into the fighters and drove them out of the containers, then flew them away into Rhuvanland. Once a fighter was out of the container, the crane would return the container to the cargo ship. When all of the fighters were unloaded, both ships began to head back the way they came.

The Kannexan aircraft carrier Lohenstadt had been positioned in Pelhafor and now had joined the fray. The Johann carrier battle group was already the bulk of the Rhuvanland Naval Task Force and now turned their sights on the approaching aircraft and the communist naval forces. From the east, unknown to the communist forces, the Amlitzer and the Sanssouci were approaching with their respective carrier battle groups, led by Admiral Wilhelm Jang. A squadron of six destroyers and four frigates accompanied them, with an unknown number of nuclear submarines.

Immediately the Lohenstadt sortied its fighters. But first, Kannexan destroyers locked in on Nebulan fighters and shot them with missiles. Kannexan fighters chased them down and gave them burning, falling deaths into the ocean. In the other direction, the newly-reformed Jang Fleet spotted the Nebulan ships and allowed them to pass by back to Nebula.

Alarms rang all over the Nebulan high command base (the Pentagram). Kannex had fired on Nebulan fighters. Unless the situation was handled very carefully, nuclear war would occur
An ultimatum was sent to Kannex: if Kannex did not apologize immediately and withdraw from Rhuvanland, a nuclear attack would commence.

"Setzen Sie Nationale-Alarmstufe zu Rot," ordered Chancellor Torsten Kesler, standing from his chair. He faced the gentlemen in the room, generals with medals and green and white and blue dress uniforms and bureaucrats with suits and papers in their hands. They had gotten what they wanted. "Ich will erhöhte Einsatzbereitschaft. Mobilisieren die Reserven. Ich will die Reichsregierung, die Kaiserliche Familie, und Kongress sofort evakuieren werden. Luftwaffe, bereiten Sie die Interkontinentalraketen vor."

The bases in South Cronaal and Pelhafor were readied. Nuclear missiles, conventional missiles, and bombers of all sorts were readied to attack the Nebulan mainland, North Cronaal, Shei Ren, and communist-held Rhuvanland immediately. All the nuclear submarines in the seas of the world were put on high alert. Any attack on Kannex would be subject to immediate and devastating retaliation.

"Dies ist nicht nur ein Krieg -- dies ist ein Kreuzzug! Ein Kreuzzug gegen internationalen Kommunismus. Ein Kreuzzug gegen die Böse, gegen Satan selbst!" The preacher, in his blue suit and dazzling smile of straight white teeth, paused for a moment, looking into the television cameras. Without tearing his eyes off for a second, without stopping his gaze into the eyes of millions of Kannexans watching him at home, he clutched the silver cross hanging from his neck. "Meine Kinder, hört mal, hört mal! Die Götterdämmerung ist nah. Die Endzeit kommt! Christus wird zur Erde ankommen, um unsere Sünden zu wegspülen. Durch das Feuer des Fegfeuers werden wir pur! Bereut ihr, O Sünder! Jesu Christus, rette uns!"

"What the hell is the Generalstab doing?" Admiral Wilhelm Jang shouted, slamming his fist into the arm of his chair. He stood in the command room of his flagship, his livid face lit up by the red and blue of the control screens. Jang's officers exchanged looks. The young admiral was normally calm, but right now Jang appeared almost frightful. "Can't they see... they're leading Kannex -- no, the world into ruin. It only takes a hundred nuclear missiles to bring the world to nuclear winter! And the generals -- the preachers, the fervent anticommunists back home -- they're saying this is the Armageddon. Well, in a way, they'll be right. But there is no left hand or right hand of God here. There is only Death."

The major cities began evacuation measures. Highways filled as families drove out of cities. The streets were emptied. Government functions had already moved and now operated from secure bunkers. The military was on high alert. Airports were shut down and appropriated for military use as Luftwaffe flights prepared to evacuate key personnel and equipment. The war was never closer home. But if a nuclear war were to ensue, the effects would not only be felt in Kannex and Nebula. The entire world would see destruction.

The Most Serene Republic of Syrixia is appalled at the actions of her ally Kannex as well as the actions of Nebula. We highly suggest both nations keep the conflict non-nuclear, lest both parties want to destroy the world.
The government of the Federal Republic of Rhuvanland is highly concerned at the actions of both Kannex and Nebula, and warns both nations, for the safety of the world itself, to stand down from using nuclear weaponry.

Somewhere in the capital of Nebula, in a quiet, dark restaurant lit only by candlelight, two men sat across from each other. One was a Kannexan spy. The other was a high-ranking Nebulan reporter with the ear of the Nebulan government. The Kannexan spoke. "Suggest to the Emperator's officials -- full non-interference in Rhuvanland. Both Nebula's Red Bloc and the Blue Bloc will stop their funding of the two sides in Rhuvanland. Let the natural course of political evolution flow. And Kannex -- the Reich will not apologize, but call the incident regrettable and assure that incident will not be repeated."

The Nebulan nodded, taking notes. He sat upright, alert in his chair. His brown hair curled in front of his eyes, obscuring his vision. He brushed it away and continued his writing. It was hard to relax around a spy. The reporter knew the spy wouldn't hurt him, but he knew if he were caught here with a Kannexan spy, the consequences would be severe. Yet he continued. The Kannexan spy -- he didn't know his name -- was a good source of information, on both Nebula and Kannex. And occasionally he offered good tips. The spy's eyes were hidden by sunglasses, and his face was not even real either. The young reporter didn't know the spy's name -- but he knew he was the best hope of stopping war.

"These Kannexans have attacked Nebulan pilots who were merely delivering fighters to the legitimate government of Rhuvanland. Nebulan pilots have died due to the idiocy of their actions. We demand that they apologize for their actions--- and consider themselves lucky that we did not shoot first and ask questions later," the Emperator said in a televised speech.

In the Forward Operations Base, Nowe finished preparing the Ministry of Defense helicopter as she was ordered by Akerman. "Warning. Warning. Warning. Tensions between Kannex and Nebula are growing. Odds of an increased war are high. Ayuda advice: Immediate retreat," said Ayuda over the base's intercom. "Listen, I don't give orders, I just take them. You might want to talk to your friend or Akerman on that one," replied Nowe. "RUN!!! Don't let them blow us up!!! I'm going to die!!!", screamed Alicia as her and a commander ran into the makeshift base. She then stopped short and felt her face where her glasses were supposed to be. She then reached for her head, where she placed her glasses, and put them back in place. "Sorry, lost my cool. Seriously though, we need to get out of here. Ayuda is correct. Guslant forces need to get out of here. Akerman may not agree but...," she began, before Nowe got a video transmission from the general herself. "Lieutenant, Vist is going to kill me for this decision, but I'm definitely not having casualties lost to a nuclear war. Prepare my personal chopper, I'm getting out of here," ordered Akerman, ending the transmission.

Within the hour, hundreds of Guslant helicopters began to take off from Bürheim, toward Pigletville. Akerman, Scottsfield, and Delford marched into the city and toward the base. "Where are they? Should we leave?", asked Burns, in confusion. "Get in the chopper and prepare for takeoff. We must be out of here in ten," ordered Nowe. Alicia got in the pilot's seat and picked up the radio. "Breaker, breaker, this is Chinook-Delta-Seven-Three, preparing for takeoff from Bürheim. Do we have clearance?", she asked. "That's a 10-4, Delta-Seven-Three, you are clear for takeoff," replied the air traffic control officer. The three generals suddenly ran into the base and toward the helicopter. "Get us the hell out of here," screamed Akerman, as they climbed onto the ramp of the Chinook. "Wait, what about the base? What about the city?", asked Nowe. "I'll stay. I've served well. If I die, I know that I made my mother country proud," said the commander. "Johnson, don't...," ordered Akerman as he got out.

An explosion happened to the left of the chopper and Burns pressed a button to close the ramp. "His choice. I'm not dying," said Burns. She piloted the helicopter upward, toward Pigletville, seemingly safe. A shot hit one of the helicopter's rotors. "We're hit. We're losing altitude! Mayday, mayday, mayday, Pigletville International. This is Delta-Seven-Three, shot in the primary rotatory system!", screamed Burns. "That's a 10-11, Delta-Seven-Three, I do not copy," said the ATC officer. "Mayday, mayday, mayday, our rotatory system is damaged. We need a quick landing pad outside of Rhuvanland," said Alicia. "That's a 10-1, Delta-Seven-Three, we do not copy," said the ATC officer. "Delta-Seven-Three, this is the Guslant Gold. We can give you a landing pad near the coast of Portmantea in the strait," said the captain of the Gold. "Vielen Dank, Gold, wir werden es in der Angelegenheit von ein paar Stunden," replied Alicia. "You speak German? If so, what can Leah do that you can't?", asked Delford, knowing Leah could also speak German. "Well, I could never be Queen of Guslantis," said Alicia, excited to know she was even with her childhood rival, Leah Charles.

However, Vist thought no such thing. Both Rhuvish citizens and soldiers, as well as Syrixian soldiers, were all evacuating the remainder of Bürheim. On commlink, Minister Vist contacted General Akerman. "General," he frantically said, "please tell me your soldiers are evacuating!" As he awaited a response, the remainder of the Syrixian soldiers got on their ships, followed by tons of boats of FR Rhuvish soldiers and FR Rhuvish citizens. Bürheim had been near totally evacuated. Kannexan soldiers were now all who remained against the communists.

Socialist forces pressed their attack. Nebulan supplies flowed into the north of the country by air as the standoff continued in the south.

Kannexan airstrikes held the line, allowing Syrixian troops to evacuate. Then followed the Kannexan Marines and Army forces. In their retreat, the Kannexans had destroyed every industrial capability they could find. Rhuvish cities were stripped bare of machinery; what the communists could find were smashed-up bits of unsalvageable metal. Factories were utterly destroyed. Kannexans also destroyed railways, airbases, and farms. The Army also held Rhuvish tanks and vehicles. The Navy took these in their evacuation. Also accompanying the Kannexans back to Kannex were thousands of Rhuvish freedom fighters and their equipment. Hidden in the ships were also Rhuvish scientists and engineers and their families, some in brigs. These were unknown to everyone but the command.

Over Rhuvanland, Kannexan fighters shot down Nebulan supply aircraft and bombed Rhuvish communist targets. If the communists prevailed in Rhuvanland, Kannex would ensure the country they inherited would not have any major industrial capability for years to come.

In Sadakoyama, certain unpopular hardliners still working in the DIS saw the reports of the nuclear threats the uncivilized belligerents were casually throwing around and got excited. If the barbarians were to exterminate each other that would in large part validate their hypotheses that the outsiders would put death before surrendering their childish devotion to their short-sighted ideologies.

Admiral Stone listened to the frantic transmissions of the Guslant and Syrixians as they fled the battlefield. "One little nuke threat and it's like you set their hair on fire. Look at the mad dash to their ships and aircraft; we should remember this for the future. How's the evacuation of civilians and injured coming along?" A gruff looking captain approached with a clipboard handing it to the admiral.

"We've evacuated the majority of the civilians and injured, also the Syrixians fled with a large number of Rhuvish citizens and soldiers when they left. Our helicopter, boat, and air cushioned landing craft are reporting an increased number of Syrixian soldiers, Rhuvish, and a couple stray Guslants mixed into the evacuees." With a disapproving shake of his head and a sigh for the timidity shown the admiral passed the report back. "Continue to evacuate the citizens still on the shore, and pull the fleet back just a little in case this lights off. We wouldn't want all these civilians and injured caught in the blast radius. Set the fleet for nuclear countermeasure."

The DEFCON level in the Prism changed to 2, and the nuclear defense protocols activated. Across the nation long range anti-air and missile defenses came to life. The generals and admirals began to consider activating the strategic defense network should this situation get worse.

Secret transmission from Chancellor Torsten Kesler of the Empire of Kannex, to the Emperator of Nebula.

Emperator, you and I are pulling on the ends of a rope in which you have tied the knot of war. The more we pull, the tighter this knot will be. Soon, this knot will be so tight that the only way to untie this knot would be to cut it. And you understand perfectly what that means. The powers we both possess will send not only your country and my country into destruction, but the entire world.

Let us take measures to ensure that knot does not get tied to that point.

However, while many of their factories were destroyed, the communists immediately set to work building new ones, stockpiling their resources and reorganizing. Communist troops triumphantly marched into Bürheim City, marking the end of the Rhuvish War.

war13.png

In the cities, the last helicopters began to dart for the coast carrying their final passengers as communist forces took the city and took pot shots at the craft. Those who were unable to get a seat on board pawed at the doors and landing gear as it took off. Some clung for dear life onto the exterior hoping to make it to safety as there was no more room inside. Others couldn't hold their grasp and dropped to the ground as their grip gave way; their last and desperate attempt for freedom. Those left knew their grim fate having been on the opposing side.

The beach evacuations were the last to depart; cramming people on board like cattle for the last trip. Communist forces were detected heading toward the beach. The landing gates closed, and with a rush of wind and sand the great leviathan departed. The moment was tense, the Rhuvish felt a great loss, expecting to never see their homeland again; at least not like they remember. The hovercraft approached the amphibious landing ship; their mission ended.

Herr Chancellor,
Now that the war has ended, I assure you that such a situation is unlikely to rise again. Although advocates for further militarization exist, many more call for the end of Nebulan meddling in foreign conflicts, and I think it is time to begin moving in that direction. The Red Bloc will remain in existence, but it will begin to take a more economic role.
This does not, however, mean that we will tolerate aggression toward our member states or prospects. Kannex has recently taken too much of a hard line against communism and socialism, and this state of affairs must cease if peace shall be achieved between our states. We urge you to consider this.

Emperator,

Call off the nuclear threat now. Peace cannot exist when such poisonous words remain in the air.
Kannex is a democratic country. I cannot control who votes for what. I am considered a moderate in the Liberal Party. No doubt I will be voted out of office in the next term. The man replacing me will very likely be an anticommunist hardliner. I warn you. We two are the only men that can stop Armageddon.

Chancellor Torsten Kesler

Herr Chancellor,
The immediate nuclear threat has de facto ended. As Rhuvanland has fallen, hostilities have ended and the world can breathe easier.
However, these actions have not made me popular. If further conflict begins, things will become tenuous for me. My days in office may be numbered and I cannot promise that I will not be deposed by the pro-conflict leaders. Although Nebula is a democracy, I am not sure that they will not resort to force.

As the Seblandian Royal Navy approached the shores of Bonreas the captain recieved a message: "Hello, this is commander Redfoldo speaking, the mission is over! Your mission was unsuccesful! Rhuvanland is now under the control of The Watching Nebula! We expect you back in 24 hours. Over "
After the message spread across the Navy, the ships and aircraft carriers turned back to True Sebland. The soldiers were confused, due to the lack of information about why the war suddenly ended.

The nuclear confrontation ended and the Reichsregierung returned to Weiterburg. Cities refilled, although many people stayed in the suburbs or nearby towns. Housing prices in major cities like Manhatt and Chemna dropped as many urban dwellers sold their houses and remained in the outskirts of metropolitan areas. Only the poor and the immigrants remained in large numbers, having nowhere to go. Pelhaforan and other immigrants bought up housing in cities.

The Rhuvanland War had left a huge scar in the Kannexan consciousness. The war was the first Kannexan defeat in ages, and Chancellor Torsten Kesler found himself under fire from both left and right. The Liberal Party membership scorned Kesler for losing the war, while the Democrats criticized him for starting the war in the first place.

"The uncompromising position of Herr Kesler is what led the Rhuvish rebels to radicalization. The conservatives in the Liberal Party destroyed any peace we might have had with the socialist camp in Rhuvanland," declared Mr. Lorenz Amano of the Democratic Party. "The war was an obscenity -- a waste of lives and good men. It is a national shame that we allowed it to go on for so long."

Huge street demonstrations and riots broke out across Kannexan cities. Democrats and Communists on one hand protested the wasteful war and warned of the danger of right-wing hardliners in government. Religious anticommunist conservatives, they said, had nearly led Kannex into nuclear apocalypse. On the other hand, Liberals and Fatherlandists slammed Kesler for mismanagement of the war and for not committing enough troops in Rhuvanland. The 1st Marines and the 5th Army Infantry arrived in Kannexan airports, scene to soldiers being hugged by their wives, mothers, fathers, and children. These homecoming ceremonies were also attended by conservative protesters who praised the troops as heroes.

"Weak, weak, weak, weak!" shouted Anton Makara, of the ultranationalistic Fatherland Front, in Congress. "Kesler's inept leadership cost us the war in Rhuvanland. Hundreds of brave Kannexan warriors -- their lives wasted. If only Chancellor Kesler would have fully committed the Reich to the defense of the freedom of the Rhuvish people, we would still now have a free Rhuvanland."

"Wir müssen diesen Kreuzzug gegen den internationalen Kommunismus fortsetzen, im Namen Gottes und Reiches. Wir werden nie stoppen, bis Kommunismus besiegt wird," roared the preachers.

In the Manhatt harbor, a mob of journalists and reporters wielding flashing cameras surrounded the pier as the young black-haired, brown-eyed admiral descended from the ship. Behind him was a woman with short chestnut-colored curls, Jang's lieutenant. It was known through all of Kannex that the Rhuvanland War was lost without so much as a naval battle. Admiral Wilhelm Jang still held his fame. "Herr Admiral! What is your position on the recent war?"

The admiral stopped and looked at the reporter and the cameraman beside him. "I think, as a nation, we ought to stop and look at what happened to get to this point, the point at which nuclear war and nuclear winter was imminent. Thank you."

<<Cosmopolitan Broadcasting Corporation - Evening News Broadcast>>
**Intro music plays**
"International News and Information... This is CBC World" Cameras zoom in on a reporter dressed in a slick dark grey suit standing in a room enclosed by wall size displays. "Welcome, officials in Nebula and Kannex have confirmed the end of the Rhuvish war. After a tense standoff between The Empire of Kannex and The Watching Nebula; the situation has deescalated, narrowly averting nuclear holocaust, with rumors of backroom negotiations."
A map of Rhuvanland appears on the screen behind the reporter.

war12.png
"The war had been looking bleak for the coalition forces, but some progress was being made and additional forces from The Most Trueful Kingdom of True Sebland were enroute. An incident between the Kannexian carrier Lohenstadt and an undisclosed Nebulan carrier and freighter regarding the blockade of Rhuvanland quickly spilled over to talks of nuclear war. Neither side backing down, nuclear and conventional weapons were readied for deployment."

Maps of Kannex and Nebula appeared on screen with graphic representations of information. "Major cities in Kannex began emergency evacuations in preparation of impending attack, with some sources claiming similar actions in Nebulan cities." An image of Malachit appears on screen. "The Nebulan leader Malachit broadcast a message stating Kannexian aggression against Nebulan pilots as the cause of the incident."

"Tensions cleared rather suddenly and mysteriously at the height of the incident. Unidentified sources claimed that the situation was resolved in a series of backroom negotiations between governmental leaders of Kannex and Nebula. This was followed by a public declaration to the end of nuclear threat by the Kannexian government."

"Political analysts have been discussing severe ramifications for both governments leadership following this incident. Disruptions to both nation's economies have been reported as well as reports of significant population relocation occurring in The Empire of Kannex."

"With the threat of nuclear war in Rhuvanland looming, Syrixian and Guslant troops reportedly abandoned their positions in the battle fleeing with Republic Rhuvish forces close behind." A split screen shows a navy commander aboard a warship. "We're joined by Admiral Stone of the Ceretian navy; can you give us any information on the situation?" With a brief pause for communications delay the admiral began to speak "Upon receiving notification of the nuclear threat, Syrixian, Guslant, and Rhuvish forces immediately withdrew from their positions in Burheim and other areas as reported by numerous media outlets on the ground."

The news anchor interjected "I believe we have a clip from GCGN who was on the ground in Burheim at the time" The story cut to a man standing in the middle of a battlefield 'forces have begun to flee the area in what can only be described as dereliction of duty as they are retreating as fast as they can, leaving thousands of civilians at the mercy of approaching opposition forces.' Behind him can be seen coalition vehicles traveling at high speed toward the coast 'While claiming they're evacuating all civilian population, many still remain having had little warning before this sudden and unexpected retreat.'

"Admiral, can you confirm these reports?" With a contained but still awkward look on his face Admiral Stone hesitantly replied. "We can confirm that multiple coalition forces have evacuated their positions in Burheim with civilians in tow. However we can also confirm numerous civilians were still left in the city. Several of our relief helicopters were unable to reach them as they came under heavy enemy fire following the sudden troop withdraw. The Kannexians were the only ones that remained, showing great valor, but they were later forced as well to evacuate under severe pressure from enemy forces. These actions by coalition forces have led to discussions within the leadership at The Prism regarding these actions by our allies and may lead to ramifications and reevaluations of forces. Rest assured, Ceretian forces did not retreat in the face of threats, and continued their duty to provide aid and evacuation even under increased enemy fire."

<<The news broadcast continued further expanding on the information coming out of Rhuvanland including reports of Reeducation camps and severe abuses of the population.>>

When the Chinook landed, the team saw why the Guslant Gold had been listening to the channel. A small blue helicopter was also landed, it was the Fleur. "Look like she's expecting us," said Alicia, nervously. She let down the Chinook's ramp and as expected, the Queen of Guslantis, wearing a long and elegant dark purple dress, made her way to them, along with another woman, who resembled Debra in her fashion and attire. They all got out of the helicopter, and Akerman looked at the Queen in utter sadness, something no one had ever seen before. "Sovereignty in the Rhuvish sector was lost. I failed my mission, your highness," she said, her head staying down. The Queen, upon hearing the news, began to turn her head away from the group. "SO??!!", barked the other woman, grabbing the Queen's shoulder. "You is alive!", she barked again, her beaded eyelashes blinking. "You don't expect me to believe the General of the Schnellerkrieg is going to give up and move to Miragea, is she?!", she continued with sass. "Miss Charles, Miss Akerman, you must understand, victories don't always mean winning. You must show them. I'm Emily Akerman! Five Star General, and conqueror of the cavies!", continued the woman. She took a pink feathered hair piece out of her hair, and placed it in Akerman's. "You is independent. An independent, loving, harsh at times, but overall wonderful woman, who is not afraid of a little blood on her uniform," she said, admiring the look of the piece in Akerman's hair.

"And you, Miss Charles, look at that woman over there with the extremely red hair. You know her, yes? You've known her since she was young. You hated her. You said she'd never get a man. You dated a cheating king for crying out loud, and what does she have, a nice, quite annoying, but overall nice man that any woman, including me, would like to hook up with. And even today, she put herself in danger and piloted a burning helicopter to safety. I mean, give the girl some credit, commence with the hugging!", she continued. Charles began to tear up, and hugged her friend, Alicia. "I'm sorry for what I did when we were younger. You are the best. I promise not to do anything else to you again," said Charles with a smile.

"Leah, over here!", said a voice behind Charles. She turned to see Pittman with a ring, kneeling. "Your highness, may I be your prince consort?", he said, smiling. "I...I...," started Charles before she fainted. "The Queen!", said Alicia, running over to her friend. "MY DRESS!", said the woman, now known to be the designer. The group looked at her in shock, but then realized, the dress was probably a few thousand Guslates. The woman fainted, but was caught by Akerman in time. "Should I take that as a yes?", asked Pittman, standing up.

Sera sighed, trying to reach the other governments "Sebt would be put through in an instant..." She grumbled, trying again to connect.
