The Green Party

Here is a special badge for our Deputy Chairman:

Dep_Chairman.png

Syrixia, feel free to use it until the election is over. (Unless you are elected again, of course.)

The words "Deputy Chairman" seem a bit rigid and grainy, not smooth like the words above it. Could you fix that? I think it's detrimental to the badge's look.

Will do. I know why it did that, so it won't take long.

"A vote for me is a vote for you. Unless you're running in this election, too."

For those of you who do not know me, I am Cascadia, the current Minister of Culture. I have been selected in the Green Party as Candidate for Delegate of The North Pacific. I now present my platform.

Introduction

In my ten months here in The North Pacific, I have grown to love this region and am proud that my nation calls it home. I would like to thank all my fellow TNPers for the opportunities I have been given in this region, and I am determined to give the same opportunities to all new members of the region.

Cabinet

If elected, I will hold applications for Minister positions. I would, however, like to see many of the current Ministers in the future Cabinet.

Foreign Affair

The North Pacific continues to be one of the biggest regions in NationStates. Good relations with our allies is essential, and I do agree that we are being very supportive of our allies and open to all regions, but currently the Ministry is having trouble maintaining our embassies. I am very happy with the work the mentor program has done to help new diplomats, but it is still not perfect. I look forward to seeing the Ministry works with Home Affairs to train and assist mentors.

Culture, Education, and Entertainment

I respect my colleague's decision to separate the Culture and Entertainment Ministries. I do not have any plans to change this design, but I believe the split has created some confusion between the jobs of the Culture, Education, and Entertainment. As Delegate, I would work with the Ministers to better define and structure these Ministries, something that has been worked on during Eluvatar's term. Within the Education Ministry, I would like to organize the University (classes, lectures, professors, et cetera). I would also help bridge the gap that exists between the Culture and Entertainment Ministries, in which Culture cannot plan and host Cultural Events that involve RolePlay. I would like to see the two Ministries working together.

Defense

Our military is one of the best in NationStates. The soldiers and officers are dedicated to protecting TNP and aiding our allies, and I would like to see continued investment in training our new soldiers, with both the basics of military gameplay and experience from doing actual missions and getting help and advice from senior officers. The training manual is a good start. I look forward to working with the Minister to protect and defend our allies and TNP alike.

WA Affairs

All of the WA votes that the North Pacific holds, specifically by the Delegate, means that it the most influential regions in the World Assembly. The work of the WADP has helped strengthen our region and get new nations involved in the WA. I also think it is very important to increase activity in the WALL, working with our partners to decide on proposals and inform nations about them.

Communications

I'm glad to see activity in this Ministry. Minister Bootsie has worked very hard to manage the Northern Lights, and I look forward to more entries soon. I understand that Bootsie did not want to establish a strict time restraint for Articles, but I think that this is necessary next term; After all, they are going out to all our embassies abroad. If they come out late, our allies will get the impression we are inactive.

Home Affairs

I have served as Director of Mentoring for many months now, and I am very happy with the success Andrew has had with maintaining this Ministry, and I hope to see this continue. I would, however, like to see the game side and off-site communities merge closer together by including nations that decide not to join the forums. This can be done by interviews, as it has been suggested before.

Vice Delegate

I'd be happy to work with anyone elected Vice Delegate, and I am not campaigning with anyone.

Conclusion

I thank all my friends in the region and abroad. Without you guys, NationStates wouldn't be nearly as fun. I would also like to thank all you TNPers; I don't care what TSP says, this is truly the best region in NationStates!

If you have any questions regarding my campaign, please ask. I am open to constructive criticism, and I want everyone's opinion.

This is definitely a good platform and as of now, I think I will be voting for you.

Well, thank you Syrixia. When would you like the primaries to happen? It has to be not long before the general election campaigning should start. I was thinking next month.

Yes, I just wanted to know if anyone else was running. We can start the Primaries anytime.

Sytarenne:
Is any of you actually going to run for Delegate?
Currently, I am. There is no real competition in this party to beat me in the primaries, and so it is very possible that I will get the nomination.

I think now that I am back, it would be a good time to begin the primaries. I'll run the election through the 20th.

Please reply to this post with either of these candidate's names.

(I think Cascadia is the one who going win this election so far, because I not either done a campaign yet due to me being busy doing other stuff. I tried to a campaign some point before this election end. However, I think that going very unlikely will happen?)

With Cascadia's absence I assume Bootsie should take over and a vote be held for a new Deputy Chairman? That is if this place is still active?
