Brothers and sisters of Mother nature, in these times of industrialization and capitalistic hedonism it is often difficult to remember the times when life was as simple as killing one deer for a whole family's worth of meals that could last them four days if spread evenly between them and combined with nutritional plant products such as berries and freshly caught river fish.
A time when, if not vegetarian, everyone was sustainably interacting with the world around them and it was man who feared and respected nature rather then the reverse. We, the current generation of humans, have been born and bred into an artificial construct; a delusional rampage of greed and lust for power at the sake of the very world we inhabit. We exist in a world where it is harder to find what a single member of our own damn government is doing than for them to keep track of millions. A world where people like Tomb run a corrupt army and SillyString undemocratically overthrows votes for the sake of pleasing those in power.
We live in a world where those with the backbones are serving those who cannot begin to fathom what having one even means. Is this the future we want for The North Pacific? The Pacific Ocean has, and always will be, the largest ocean on Earth where not only the largest quantity of animals exist but most in-depth ecosystem of an every increasing number of species is being discovered.
Together, we can change TNP to be greener. Nevertheless, to stop at this would be to go against the original principle of the green party; to have a greener Earth.
While many of my rivals within this party state that non-violent and passive approaches to change NationStates to be greener will work, Nationstates allows disgusting nations with unimaginably poor human rights and environmental protections to exist. It allows categories such as 'Corporate Police State' to exist. Not only do they exist but they get awarded badges and icons for how well they destroy the environment and lives of the many within their nations for the sake of greedy amoral psychopaths. This is simply revolting.
While my nation, Absolute Hell, engages in nuclear energy and warfare research this is only for the sake of keeping it safe from the many nations would seek to tamper with it. It is the same reason that I have avoided joining the WA (but would join it to serve as delegate); the oppression of the apathetic masses and the amoral wealthy on top of that is simply very difficult for a nation like mine and your own to bear the brunt of.
If you elect me, I will embark TNP on a brilliant journey, one for the history books. The NPA will no longer be a political tool to simply defend allies against raiders who are equally as amoral as themselves. Frankly, the fact that we have an army that is trained in raiding and the only time it is ever put to use is to clear up someone else's mess quite literally makes our army the ass-wiping tool for all allied regions to utilize at the click of a button.
It is time the NPA became a real army and fought for something worth the time and effort that our soldier tirelessly put in; a greener NS. I will begin attacks on any capitalistic or undemocratic regions as this will begin to show that TNP doesn't stand for anything that goes against eh voice of the people. This will turn the currently apathetic masses voting on WA resolutions into aggravated people who actually being to think passionately and fight for something (albeit it will be the condemnation of TNP), once the spotlight is on us for being the 'bad guys' I will then carry out covert operation infiltrating organizations such as DEN (formerly known as The Black Riders) and will ensure that if they ever try and attack on of our regions not only will the raid go wrong, but they will have lost 10 regions within 5 days at the very least, each occupied for one day and made a humiliating example of in the forums.
Following this, we will then target any regions who stand in the way of ecological development. Once the majority of regions are pro democracy and pro environment, we will use our empire of eco-warriors to pass all legislation that is relevant to our cause and then shall seek to sustain an maintain our leadership just as we will our environment.
I will make TNP a force to be reckoned with but on the side of the good. In the end, fellow eco-warriors, we can forever be known as the hippie losers or we can be known as the mean green raiding machines.
The choice is yours. Vote the candidate you aspire to follow, not the one you settle beneath.

I am Cascadia, and I have been selected in my party as Candidate for Delegate of The North Pacific. So I now present my platform.
Introduction
Since I joined the forum nearly seven months ago, I have grown to love this region and am proud that my nation calls it home. I thank all my fellow TNPers for the opportunities I have been given in this region, and I wish to give the same opportunities to all new members during my term as Delegate. In this platform, I will present how I think this region should be structured during my tenure if elected.
Cabinet
If elected, I will hold applications for Minister positions. I would, however, like to see many of the current Ministers in my future Cabinet.
Foreign Affair
The North Pacific continues to be one of the biggest regions in NationStates. Good relations with our allies is essential, and I do agree that we are being very supportive of our allies and open to all regions, but currently the Ministry is having trouble maintaining our embassies. I am very happy with the work the mentor program has done to help new diplomats, but it is still not perfect. I look forward to seeing the ministry work with Home Affairs to train and assist mentors.
Culture and Entertainment
I have served as the Minister of Culture for Tomb and Eluvatars terms. Above all, I would like to see activity increase. I would merge this Ministry with Entertainment, which should not cause an oversized workload for the Minister. This merge is really so the Ministry can host RP festivals that advance TNP culture without having to have two separate Ministries corresponding with each other.
Defense
Our military is one of the best in NationStates, in my opinion. The soldiers and officers are so dedicated to protecting TNP and aiding our allies. I would like to see continued investment in training our new soldiers, with both the basics of military gameplay and experience from doing actual missions and getting help and advice from senior officers. The training manual is a good start, but I want our military to be well trained and experienced in both raiding and defending. I look forward to working with the Minister to protect and defend our allies and TNP alike.
WA Affairs
All of the WA votes that the North Pacific holds, specifically by the Delegate, means that it the most influential regions in the World Assembly. The work of the WADP has helped strengthen our region and get new nations involved in the WA. I think it is very important to increase activity in the WALL, working with our partners to decide on proposals and inform nations about them.
Communications
I'm glad to see activity in this Ministry. Minister Bootsie has worked very hard to manage the Northern Lights, and I look forward to more entries soon. I would like to maintain a strict time restraint for Articles because they are going out to all our embassies abroad. If they come out late, our allies will get the impression we are inactive.
Education
The Education Ministry has not lived up to what it was supposed to be. I would like to work with the Minister to get up and running, and to reach the full potential of what Mcm first envisioned. I really just want to work to organize the University (classes, lectures, professors, et cetera). As well, the FAQ is very outdated and needs to be rewritten, which will be a task of this Ministry.
Home Affairs
I have served as Director of Mentoring for many months now, and I am very happy with the success Andrew has had with maintaining this Ministry, and I hope to see this continue. I would, however, like to see the game side and off-site communities merge closer together by including nations that decide not to join the forums. This can be done by interviews, as it has been suggested before.
Vice Delegate
I'd be happy to work with anyone elected Vice Delegate, and I am not campaigning with anyone. So, yeah.
Conclusion
I thank the members of my party, the Green Party, for selecting me to represent them in this election. I also thank all my many great friends; Syrixia, Darcania, Bootsie, Alta Italia, Tomb, Mcm, RPI and Andrew just to name a few.I would also like to thank all of my fellow TNPers. I don't care what TSP says, this is truly the best region in NationStates!

The green party wouldn't want that many political freedoms, the'd want to force everyone to be free (so to speak).
Stop. Just stop. If you're going to criticize how someone else runs their political party, then create your own! You can do whatever you want with it! You can make it democratic, or make it so tight to get in that the creator has a hard time getting in. The North Pacific is a free region where you can pretty much create whatever you want of it (within reason). Cascadia is one of the nicest members of our forum, and for you to sit here and criticize him makes me sick.
