TNP vs. Fulhead Discussion

I've sent a PM to the Attorney General to ask about his status. I do know he's around somewhere, as he voted in matters currently before the RA.

And I don't know what his deputy has been up to either.

GBM, the Defense is waiting for clarification as to who they are calling to the stand!! Until such point as a distinction is made, the Defense is unsure as to who is supposed to take the stand!!

It is not too much to ask to make sure the right person is taking the stand!!

"Peter Smith, please take the stand!"
"Err..which Peter Smith, we have two of them in the Court?"
"Stop stalling, just get Peter Smith to the stand!"
"Which one?"
"Either one, they are both Peter Smith"

The one with his fingerprints on the evidence. ;)

ARRRRGGGG!!!

Someone stop this crazy merry-go-round that is the Fulhead trial! It’s gone on so long my head is spinning and I feel nauseous. Also someone turn off that damn music! It keeps droning on and on; “Who is this Fulhead? Who is this Fulhead? Who is this Fulhead? Who is this Fulhead?”

Confucious he say

Fullhead is as Fullhead does.

And when you can snatch this pebble from my hand, you will truly be a master of deja Fu, Grasshopper.

Fullhead is as Fullhead does.
Who is this Fulhead? Who is this Fulhead? Who is this Fulhead? Who is this Fulhead? Who is this Fulhead? Who is this Fulhead? Who is this Fulhead? Who is this Fulhead? Who is this Fulhead? Who is this Fulhead? Who is this Fulhead? Who is this Fulhead?

 :P

(Sorry BW...)

Fullhead is not talking to his counsel much, since Poltsamaa seems not to be able to recognise him.

Perhaps FL should wear a carnation, or something distinctive. Or Polts should get stronger glasses.

I recognise my client quite well, just they have not been specifically requested to take the stand!!

Thanks for your concern, Flemingovia!! And it is Fulhead with one 'l', not two!! Fullhead probably resides in that dastardly region, The Pacific, might want to set the NPIA onto that guy, I hear he has a nation in TNP also, called Poltsaama!! Not seen him in TNP, but Schnauzer seems to mention him a lot!!

Oh this is rich.....Southwest Asia called
The Prosecution calls Fulhead Land, also known as the controller of the nation of Lexiconhead, and also known as the accused.

My understanding is that we can't try members of other regions under TNP law. Maybe I'm wrong but Fulhead leader of Lexiconhead is in fact a member of the Lexicon region and NOT the accused since he can't be tried under TNP law. Please correct me but I thought that the TNP nation of Fulhead Land was on trial here......unless of course the prosecution is trying to take this IN GAME trial out of the game and is calling the player to the stand which he really couldn't do until the lovely introduction of the new treason law that says this is no longer a game. So, seriously, I can see why Polts is making such a fuss....I don't think the prosecution even knows who they are prosecuting here.

Indeed. That is rather the crux of the trial. With the way everyone is pontificating I imagine the trial will still be going this time next year.

*Looks for a 'yawn' smiliey...*

...How come we ain't got no yawning smilies? :eyebrow:

I'll cut to the chase, the Prosecution and the government of this region want to try a "player" in a RP Court!! The Defense refuses to let this happen as it it is unconstitutional and makes mockery of the game we are playing!!

Hence, the government has tried to push through new laws legislating against players, therefore facilitating the removal of any player they do not like or agree with as far as in-game politics/allegiances go!!

As I said earlier, this trial will be dissolved at the request of the Prosecution if the Defining Treason law gets up so as they can re-try Fulhead under the new laws!!

I guess, where there is a will, there is a way!!

Right, I get this entire thng the Defense is trying to do by using duality as their main defense but for the love of all that is holy and good, someone make Fulhead take the stand. Thats been holding up the whole trial for weeks on end, it needs to be done and there is no damn sense in denying knowledge of whom the Prosucion is calling to the stand. Someone just note the defendant refuses to take the stand (and I think would be held in contempt of court in a real court system).

This goes to show you have no idea of what you are talking about!! By the Defense allowing Fulhead Land, member nation of TNP, take the stand when referred to as the "controller of Lexiconhead" the Defense will sign its own death warrant!!

Excuse me if I don't throw my client to the wolves because people like you are sick of the trial!! This is asides from the fact that trying a "player" is a breach of the Constitution, so, again, excuse me if I don't take your impatience into account when considering the rights of my client and the laws of the region!!

I get it, you are tired of this dragging on!! We all are, but I'll not screw my client over to make things move faster!!

Yes, but I am starting to think you’re purposefully dragging out this trial by such means. As it is, if you do not make your client take the stand then someone with the proper authority should. His testimony is paramount to both the defense and the prosecution and makes or breaks the case against him.

Your objections, which are founded totally on technicalities and Constitutional loopholes, are needlessly standing directly in the way of justice and your client’s right to a fair and speedy trial and that’s no good Polts.

You, Sir, are an idiot!!

The right of my client to a fair trial is paramount!! The "loopholes" you refer to are not loopholes, but the laws as they stand!! I am in constant contact with my client and they have expressed nothing but satisfaction with my job as their defense attorney!! I have sacrificed speediness of trial for fairness and adherence to the laws of the region!! My client has not informed me that he would prefer speediness to fairness and acceptance unconstitutional requests by the Prosecution!!

I am no more stalling the trial than the prosecution who continue to reword their request without addressing the concerns put forward!! simply requesting Fulhead Land, member nation of The North Pacific, to take the stand without the extraneous references to other nations would be suffcient to clarify any confusion the defense has with the identity of the witness called to the stand!!

Eventually DD is going to have to either accept Polt's argument, or force Fulhead to appear as a player. We're just going to go round in circles until then.

*Namyeknom goes to make a cup of tea.

Poltsamaa is, unfortunately, correct though, because if he were to relent that essentially proves the prosecution arguement without question. What the prosecution needs to do for this to ever work is call Fulhead the TNP nation to the stand, which at the moment they seem to boneheaded to do. Then, having questioned them, call the Lexicon nation, Lexiconhead, to the stand. The prosecution case, after all, is essentially to prove that these two entities are one and the same, which shouldn't be that difficult based on the avalible evidence.

So at the moment we're just going around, and around, and around. And I think we will be for some time.

I support the MoJ on this one, he cannot allow himself to give in to Poltsamaa.
Yes, heaven forbid we actually follow the law of the region!! It's much faster to cleanse the region if you work outside the law, afterall, the ends justify the means, right?!

Fuuny, that FL claims Lexiconhead is his UN nation, as NationStates doesn't show that that nation is even a UN member (I checked) and FL posted "n/a" when he took the amended oath.

The Prosecution have claimed Lexiconhead is a UN nation!! Your statement is self-contradicting!!

If n/a was stated on the oath then perhaps there is no UN nation to declare?!

I did post "n/a" as my UN nation. That would be because there isnt one to declare dear. Not that it has bearing on the case.

At the time of the crime, the UN Nation was Lexiconhead.

What crime and what are you basing that on?

Holy crap!! The prosecution finally got it right and FL has taken the stand. In a blow to the prosecution's case, the OOC law of treason did not pass as expected and so we expect to see this dragged on until after the Christmas holiday and the next vote on the treason law in hopes of it passing then. We can only wait and see.

And in the evening edition of The North Pacific Standard, the headline reads:

TRIAL SHOCK: FULHEAD DECLARED UN NATION

It goes on to cover the sensational restart of the trial after a prolonged interruption, in which Fulhead has confidently batted away prosecution question, and admitted he declared his UN nation on joining the RA. Analysts are unclear as to whether this is a crime or not, but most agree it should be, will be, and not a moment too soon.

On page 6, the TNPE's fashion writer laments at Fulhead's choice of the crumpled look, and theorises that no jury could possibly find him innocent in that tie/shirt combination.

In other news, the business pull out covers the acquisition by Imaginary Inc. of the family run business Santa Industries. Being so close Santa Industries busiest time of the year, some commentators predict this will be the worst Christmas period since the last really bad one.

Polts / Trial thread:
Objection, a TNP member nation cannot have control over another nation!!

But didn't FL basically say that he had control over another nation? It is the TNP nation Fulhead Land on the stand right now.

Aren't you just objecting to what your client is saying?
