From three seperate sources now rumour has reached my ears that the North Pacific is now under ADN influence or control. The reason for this is, seemingly, that I am in Prime Minister, and I am in the pocket of the ADN.

Whispers in dark corners.

This is something that has dogged me throughout my time playing Nationstates, mainly (I think) because I am pro-defender and do not regard the ADN as the archetype of evil.

However, I am not willing to see a false impression of this region put about in baseless whispers on chat channels. So I say this openly to those putting about this rumour: Put up, or shut up.

I give full permission for the reposting in this thread of any of my posts on any boards. I give full permission for the reposting of any IRC, AIM, MSN or other chat channel logs. I give full permission for the reposting of any pertinent e-mails and PMs.

If you have any evidence at all to back up the gossip and innuendo, then let us see it. Because as far as I am concerned, the only people whose pocket I am in is the electorate of this region.

Whispers of ADN control, baseless suggestions we aren't neutral in the West Pacific affair. Seems to me the winds of destabilization have begun to blow our way again
 
Yes, and rather than seeing the whispering campaign in back rooms again, I thought I would bring it out into the open this time and see if the whisperers can give any substance to the smoke.
 
Having not voted in the last election, I can see the electorate has fine taste in whom they choose as a PM. Cheers to you, Sir. Absolutely stellar.
 
How is TNP *not* being neutral in TWP? :duh: Anyways, that's a slightly irrelevant point. It's close to impossible for any member of the regional governments *not* to have ties to other people/regions/organizations. Personally I tend to prefer people that have some idea what's happening elsewhere in NS as opposed to concentrating solely on one region.

What this comes down to is trust. The people of The North Pacific invested their trust in Flemingovia. I don't think that trust has *ever* been betrayed.

Who anyone is friends with/talks with is noone else's business. This, of course, assume we all believe people have the power to decide things for themselves and do not blindly follow instructions from others. And suggesting Flem blindly follows orders..... :rofl:

So, time to cut this short. Otherwise I might rant on a bit. :blush:

Although I doubt you'll get many answers here, rumour peddlers are shadow dwelling creatures...

This thread is pretty much another way of saying..."We are TNP...hear us roar!" Good job Flem.

No disrespect to the ADN or anyone else. I think we (TNP citizens) just want to make it clear to all governments out there, that see TNP as the puppet it used, that we are no longer under the influence of any region. If you still think so...if you still hope so....think again!

Just because we are friendly with Defenders (ADN included) that doesn't mean any group can influence our domestic and international politics.

Actually, I started this thread because I have seen this region torn apart before now by baseless accusations and sly innuendo concerning the ADN, and on other issues too.

People who do that are liars, pure and simple. And if those peddling rumours at the moment will not do so to my face they are pond slime who have nothing but my contempt.

It's stuff like this that made me leave TNP in the first place....
 
Except that back then we ran round like chicken little screaming "the sky is falling". Now we face it squarely.

Well from what i have seen personally TNP is a very rounded region with players from all sides of every divide so if Flem was in the adns pocket i doubt most people here would let him get away with it.
