Greetings!

I have just been elected as Canada’s new Minister of Foreign Affairs (MoFA).
The nations of Canada have elected me for a term of office to ensure the proper upholding and furtherance of our rich tradition of diplomatic representation throughout NationStates.

It is an honour to represent Canada as its MoFA and follow the footsteps of Hudson Bay, Beaver-Country-Canada, Judith Gap and King_Girl.

Judith Gap has accepted the position of Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs.

I am looking forward to working with and visiting The North Pacific and if there are any questions about Canada, its embassies or our ambassadors, please do not hesitate to ask me.

The Democratic Republic of Canada6
Minister of Foreign Affairs, Canada.

Congratulations on your election, Canada6, and welcome to the North Pacific.

...and welcome back King_Girl. It wasn't the same without you. :D

Ahh, don't worry to much. We of the TNP diplomatic corp are so used to scandal, finding a foreign diplomat clothed at all is a welcome relief...

SPECIAL REPORT - Ejection of General BenjaminA

With overwhelming evidence of numerous (and recent) attempts to subvert the rule of governments outside of Canada, including the New Pacific Order, as well as U.N. multi-ing, the cabinet of Canada has ejected General BenjaminA (GBA). The cabinet grew increasingly concerned that GBA's actions would damage Canada's reputation for neutrality.

His individual actions are in direct conflict with Canada's Ejection and Board Suspension Guidelines, which state: " The delegate may eject any nation for any other reason upon consultation with Cabinet and majority approval of Cabinet for the ejection or an Administrator of the offsite board can suspend an offsite account with the majority approval of cabinet for the following reason: d.) using Canada as a hidden base of operations for an invasion without authorization."

As a result, those nations were ejected from the region, as the region's ejection statutes demanded. Each of those nations is permitted to PM the Delegate to request a hearing if any feel the ejection was unfair.

We are currently evaluating the source of the invasion and will release that information once the case has been nailed down. If you have comments or questions, please pm your local ambassador or Parrrrtay.

Judith Gap,
Minister of Justice, Canada

Governmental Affairs
  • Power to the People!
Canadian members voted over the last few weeks on two constitutional referenda.

First, the members voted for the "Regional Input" amendment, which gives all members the opportunity to comment on all laws before they are enacted.

Second, members voted for the "Acclaimed Minister Constitutional Change", which changes the process of election in cases where only one candidate is running for a cabinet position. Previously unopposed candidates were acclaimed (no voting, just appointment); now a Vote of Confidence is used.

  • As a bonus to amending the constitution, Judith Gap (MoJ) with help from his Deputy, Lorelai County also reformatted The Constitution of Canada.

  • King_Girl our Minister of Doughnuts and Beer is holding an office party. Everyone is welcome to stop by and enjoy the festivities. If you are looking for chocolated doughnuts you will need to find ParrrrTay, since she arrived early and ran off with all the chocolate ones.

  • Ejections were handed out to several members because of a suspected invasion attempt. Details may be found in a special message posted in your embassy.

Ess has resigned as Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs. Kana da has passed the regional vote of confidence and is now Canadian Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs.
Diplomatic Events
  • Canada decided against opening an embassy with British Overseas Territory at this time.

Bamada the ambassador to Canada from Allied States of EuroIslanders has stopped in to say Goodbye. We are really going to miss her, and hope she stops in to visit.

Canada welcomes OPArsenal as ambassador from The North Pacific.
