Admin Requests

Okay. Apparently another mod(s)/admin(s) split some posts out. Then I split some posts out per the schnauzers request - then another mod(s)/admin(s) put them all together in debate archiving. We have retrived them back on the RA floor - http://forum.thenorthpacific.org/topic/7210924/1/#new we need to get them back in thier original topics at least the ones from "a compromise on religion bill" per Flemingovia's request and let the speaker decide to honor grosses original request to split or flems to keep in.

Ive looked and im trying to work with all involved to be fair. I either am not seeing how or I do not posses the powers to put split posts back into their original topic. Plz to be helping? K thx.

The page embeds this form, which we will be using for a project about to be announced by the Ministry of Culture. It is similar in functionality to a previous form the government has used.

I believe you might need to split the posts out once again, into separate threads for each post (or chain of posts), and then merge those back in one by one with the threads they came from. You can "merge" two threads on the page of that subforum. Check the boxes next to the threads, and then down at the bottom near the autotools section is an option that says merge, or combine, or something like that.

If you're not sure where a post came from, you can also check with its author to see if they remember.

Thanks Silly. I think all posts are put back except one "mummy" post which the site does nkt give me a box to checkmark.

I can no longer post anywhere other than here. Is this a deliberate "upgrading" of my personna non grata status? I don't believe that I had violated the site's ToS. *raises an eyebrow*
 
I believe the government made you "persona non grata" and this is probably the only area the government is not in charge of.

That's probably why you are able to access this area. I think if your desire is to access other areas, you'll need to speak with the delegate.
 
Yes, my access was restricted on Jun 16 2014 and now today without announcement, my forum privileges been restricted much more. To the point that I cannot view any subforum or post anywhere.

I have already spoken to your delegate and your region when they approached The Rejected Realms.

I've been reluctant to post here, because I think the Minister of Foreign Affairs has done a fine job here in saying almost everything that needs to be said.

The final thing that I would like to clarify is my own words - which have been panned here as offensive and unpatriotic. When I said that I found the "War on Nazis" to be offensive to the memory and legacy of veterans who served in World War II, this was not some throwaway political line, I did in fact mean it and I will not be apologizing for sharing my opinion on the subject with my readers.

It was the summer of 1942, when Jim Forbes, a farmboy from the fields of Southern Ontario decided to join the war effort in the hopes of pursuing adventure and serving King and Country. He was sixteen at the time, he had faked his age to go to war as earlier as he had. There in the Essex Scottish regiment (from outside of Winsoruur) he served in the Battle of Dieppe, which was largely led by Canadians (5,000 of them) and was one of the bloodiest defeats for the allied forces during the early days of the war. The Essex Scottish had lead the frontal assault on the "red and white" beaches. The British had held Dieppe was the turning point in the war - a lesson in German strategy, "reconnaissance in force", that would eventually save the lives of countless others through the following days of the war. Winston Churchill was quoted in saying, Dieppe had been "a Canadian contribution of the greatest significance to final victory".

Canada would suffer 3,367 casualties during the battle and immediately consider "Operation Jubilee", a military disaster. Jim was one of the few Canadians who both survived the battle and was not captured as a prisoner-of-war -- he would marry a self-proclaimed klutzy British nurse and they would return to Southern Ontario where they would have six children together happily. He would be recognized on August 15, 1946, for his services to the crown, and the "defence of the empire and the cause of liberty, truth and righteous". Jim never stopped being a hero and the most courageous man that many of his family have known, even after leaving the battlefields. Later becoming a community leader, a librarian, a fireman and a regular correspondent with President Nixon. His favorite novel was Catch-22. He and his wife struggled to get by during the winter months - and he would sell his car every Christmas, so he could afford to buy his children Christmas presents. His favorite word was "pragmatic". His favorite pass-time was writing. Finally, he recommended to his son and his grandson to learn a new word everyday.

Today's word is "magnanimous".

I deeply believe that Jim, my grandfather, belonged to the greatest generation to ever walk among us and contribute to human civilization. The real tragedy is that history books will remember their generation as the ones who fought and persevered through humanity's darkest days, instead of remembering their story of human triumph and character for which they so rightfully deserve to be remembered.

My comments earlier in The Rejected Times were never aimed at The North Pacific in particular, but a whole swath of individuals, some of them genuinely mistaken and others, fully aware of what they are doing.

A few years ago, I had to sit through a film called "Inglourious Basterds", which in the poorest of tastes, sold the legacy of World War II with the hopes of filling some theater seats and capitalize on people's juvenile concept of the war and the battle that our grandparents fought. I regard the "War on Nazis", whether done in 'good fun' or not, to be a simple extension of this "Basterdisation" of the Second World War. Even the World Factbook Entry of NAZI EUROPE had quoted the film and it's lead character, Lt. Arlo Raine - and it's not just "NAZI EUROPE" but the dozens of operations in the past, which, for me, embodies this cruel, pubescent culture of "Nazi-scalping" for which I will never have any patience.

I've decided I will not end this letter saying "I don't care what you think", because I do care and I always respected The North Pacific a great deal - serving five terms as your Minister of World Assembly Affairs (once under JAL, twice under NK and twice under Eluvatar), contributing in what ways I could to the discussion there when I was an assemblyman and even, sincerely noting in The Transpacific Trade that The North Pacific had inspired me to achieve more as a defender and as a citizen.

Bearing this all in mind, The North Pacific will not receive a personal apology for my opinion on the matter and I wish you and your region, the best of luck. For those who do wish to celebrate the legacy of our veterans, I recommend you visit your local Legion Hall and participate whole heartily towards Remembrance Day or Veterans Day.

The explanation for not being able to see the constitution and laws is pretty straightforward at least - you can't see them if your masking doesn't let you see the actual forum they're housed in (same with the SC rules - guests can't view them).

Just read the unibot posts that is hilarious! Can you tell him to stop expecting citizens rights in the region he left voluntarily. Suggest he tries making a civil case in Kyzikos!

Now to my problems. I can't reply to the foreign envoy thread even though I posted in it a few hours ago.

In fact, the delegate approved my foreign envoy status, please can I be remasked?

If it's not too much trouble.

For the record, when I posted in his Foreign Envoy application that no remasking is needed, Chasmanthe was still an RA member (or at least masked as one), which meant that he already had more access than foreign envoys. Now that he is no longer an RA member, masking as Foreign Envoy is no longer redundant.
