The North Pacific Army (NPA) is The North Pacific's very own military force. The NPA serves TNP abroad by helping our friends and fighting our enemies. You can help with this!
NationStates warfare is conducted by World Assembly nations seizing the position of WA Delegate in other regions. This is done by having troops endorse one WA nation and move to a target region in a coordinated fashion, allowing that nation to seize the delegacy.
Operations generally take place at the time the game calculates the delegates of regions–the server update (also referred to as just the update.) This occurs at two times during the day:
- 12:00 AM - ~2:00 AM Eastern Time
- 12:00 PM - ~1:15 PM Eastern Time
- (time=1779336000) to (time=1779343200)
- (time=1779379200) to (time=1779383700)
Service Options
There are three branches of service in the NPA: the Commandos, the Soldiers, and the Warrants.
The Commandos participate in regular operations at game update time. Commandos receive the full experience of NS warfare and are promoted much more quickly. The expectations for Commandos are:
- Be able to move WA status between nations.
- Be able to dedicate approximately 90 to 120 minutes per week to NPA update operations as a base standard of activity, except during leaves of absence.
- Be able to respond to deployment orders in a 24-hour period.
- Use Discord for NPA communication purposes.
Soldiers are not able to attend regular update operations but still wish to participate in the NPA. Soldiers are only expected to respond to deployment orders which do not require update activity, but the Soldiers may also be called upon for critically important update operations (however, those who cannot be online for the update period would not be expected to attend). The expectations for Soldiers are:
- Be able to move WA status between nations.
- Be able to respond to deployment orders, either on Discord or this forum.
Warrants are not able to move their WA status for operations, such as due to being a TNP Security Council member, but still assist the NPA in other ways such as triggering. Warrants are generally more senior members of the region and evaluated on a case-by-case basis.
Regardless of your division, no experience is required. Training will be provided for all new recruits.
