Replacement: None | @@NAME OF REPLACEMENT@@ >
Note: Only votes from TNP WA nations, NPA personnel, and those on NPA deployments will be counted. If you do not meet these requirements, please add (non-WA) or something of that effect to your vote. If you are on an NPA deployment without being formally registered as an NPA member, name your deployed nation in your vote. The General Assembly,
Understanding the usefulness to member states and their citizens to be able to access written works from around the world, for study, industry, or simply enjoyment, and the work the Universal Library Coalition (ULC) does to increase this access,
Confused, however, at the lack of criteria put in place for validating works uploaded to the ULC, allowing the acceptance of works with no factual or useful information, reducing the ease of locating beneficial works for actual use, and overwhelming the administrative and computational systems that back up the ULC with the amount of pointless archived text allowed,
Questioning the systems provided by the ULC for archiving copyrighted works, requiring the continual diversion of limited WA funds towards creators of works with little regard given to the actual quality or cultural significance of the work archived,
Doubting the methods of access stipulated in this resolution, as the ability provided by the ULC to member nations that allows them to enact unrestricted content filters on the data available to their populations through the ULC allows governments to propagate biased or unfactual works with little or no oversight, leveraging the ULC's perceived credibility as a WA-backed organisation to mislead their citizens to their personal advantage,
Deciding that these issues with the ULC mean it works against the very issues it seeks to solve, preventing any greater archival system from fully taking hold, and placing an unwarranted administrative burden on both members and non-members who wish to participate in sharing their histories,
Hereby repeals "Universal Library Coalition".
