Be careful with how you're writing legislation. If you submitted that as it is now, you'd accidentally delete two clauses that I don't think you meant to delete. Write it like I did in the example down below.

Example:
Revelation Day Bill:
Section 9.2 of the Legal Code is amended to read as follows:
Section 9.2: Celebration Days
7. Revelation Day will be observed on the seventh of April, to commemorate the revelation of the First Chapter of the Book of Flemingovia.
8. Spring Day will be observed on the nineteenth of April, to commemorate the capture of The Wellspring and the establishment of its community.
9. Flag Day will be observed on the twenty-sixth of April, to commemorate the adoption of the flag of The North Pacific.
10. Democracy Day will be observed on the seventh of July, to recognize the day the Constitution was ratified and to honor the Constitution, Bill of Rights, and Legal Code of The North Pacific.

Yes, I'm aware that it was actually the first four chapters posted on April 7th. It reads better if I just say "First Chapter".

thank you so much, Im sure to use it, and also does the name have to be Revelation Day.

Look man, Flemingovianism is already in the Legal Code as the official religion, if people aren't celebrating it it's because people aren't interested. Putting a new holiday in the Legal Code won't suddenly make anyone interested. If you want to do something for Flemingovianism, it's better you organise something yourself (or ask the government to help you do so) than making a change to the law that isn't actually going to do anything.

Don't know why the author is rushing for a vote, it's literally been posted less than two days ago and many people haven't even read this. As I said before, it's going to be a pointless addition to our laws if no one commits to celebrating it. I'm opposed.

I think you should have taken Sil’s advice for improving the bill. Try to match the standard of the existing code so everything is seamless. There’s still time in formal debate to make changes. I will not support the original version.

As for the concept: we barely celebrate or recognize the days we have already. I don’t think that the likelihood of celebrating them is what should determine whether or not they get added, but whether or not the day is worth celebrating or the timing of that celebrating is reasonable. I’d prefer not to have April be so crowded, but I understand where the date comes from. Perhaps his actual birthday would be a good option as well? You’d have to change the name and reason in that case I guess, and I’m not exactly sure what day that is - might crowd another part of the year for all I know. Maybe the day he established the religion, if it’s different from when he posted the book?

How about February 11th, the day Flemingovia posted the final chapter?

I'm not saying I'm all in on actually supporting this. In fact, as currently written, I would vote Nay. But, I'll entertain ideas with some options.

So… the Irreligious Secularist in me can’t help but ask: “Why do we even have an official religion? What the hell do we even need it for?!“ I’m of the opinion that religion and state matters need to be kept as separate as possible. This is a view I hold for both IRL and in NS.

As a matter of principle, I’m opposed to this bill. And since formal debate has already begun, I will be voting against it when the time comes to vote.

The short answer to your question is "for fun", or to be more precise, it was created as satire. It was never intended to anything other than that. People used to have a bit of fun with it, as you can see in the sub-forum that's specifically dedicated to it, but it died down a long time ago. Nowadays it just sits in the Legal Code, mostly ignored.
