Liberate Serovski Mir 2022
Category: Liberation | Nominee: Serovski Mir 2022
Proposed by: Improper Classifications, Co-authored by: Omnicontrol, and East Chimore | Onsite Topic

The Security Council,

Introducing the region of Serovski Mir 2022, whose nations and government have gained infamy for their problematic and toxic actions towards other nations, as well as their sympathy towards fascist viewpoints, which this most august body has already affirmed its stance against in resolutions such as SC#358,

Observing the events of January 17th, 2024, during which the region’s governor The Libertarian-Conservative of Federal Republic of Serov first attempted to force this world’s highest authorities into permanently annihilating them, and then subsequently locking the region behind an unknown and undecipherable barrier before departing this realm forever,

Appalled that the regional administration, rather than condemn their founder’s crimes, continues to exalt them as a ‘friend’, mourning the disappearance of the nation publicly,

Recognizing that the ceasing-to-exist of the founder state creates an opening for the international community to permanently destroy this hive of hate,

Believing that the passage of this resolution shall strike a death blow against the remaining regional government and its sympathizers,

Hereby Liberates Serovski Mir 2022.
Note: Only votes from TNP WA nations, NPA personnel, and those on NPA deployments will be counted. If you do not meet these requirements, please add (non-WA) or something of that effect to your vote. Overview
This proposal seeks to address various concerns associated with the region and its founder, which have been described in the text of the resolution in regard to their "problematic and toxic actions towards other nations" and "their sympathy towards fascist viewpoints..." such that the region remains open to permanent destruction. It must also be noted that the founder has made several transphobic comments.

Recommendation
The Delegate has instructed the MoWAA to support this proposal. The principle behind the support for this proposal across the Security Council is to acknowledge the need for the region to be open to attack in the future due to their links to fascism. Although the resolution may not be necessary from a mechanical point of view right now, in the long run it still means the region might be vulnerable to anti-fascist military operations. The Delegate believes allowing for that possibility in the future has merit enough, even if it may feel like the proposal does not do anything to challenge the situation in the region at this exact moment in time.

For the above reasons, the Ministry of World Assembly Affairs recommends a vote For the at-vote SC resolution, Liberate Serovski Mir 2022.

Against. As the governor has returned to NS, and appointed a long list of successors, this proposal is no longer necessary.

This is a matter of Gameplay, and it seems as though the Gameplaying part of this proposal no longer does anything, I will vote for abstaining.

I have decided to vote in favour of this resolution. I understand that the resolution may not be necessary from a mechanical point of view right now, but in the long run it still means the region might be vulnerable to anti-fascist military operations.
