° Today at 12 PM Justosian Time, Justosia celebrated, formally, its new king. Coronation was a glittery affair. The procession from the Milenio Royal Palace, to the Arcangeles Cathedral was marked by much fanfare. Throngs of cheering Nationalists & right leaning Independents turned out to see their new sovereign. Thousands shouted praise & threw confetti. About a quarter of registered Social Democrats attended out of what seemed like general respect.

° Excerpts from His Archipiélagic Majesty's inaugural address were full of memories of his late, beloved padre. Carlos Francisco II. Credited with the massive, revolutionary economic plan that overhauled the military & national infrastructure into modernity at lightning speed. Thanks for his beloved madre who only served 2 years but is already revered as a Saint by women, the underprivileged, & moderates on both sides of the aisle. He furthermore urged his new subjects to look to the future. Instead of solely clinging to the past. Signaling his reign might be socially/culturally more moderate. He is the youngest king in Justosian history at 28.

Bill would legalize medicinal & reactional use of Marijuana. Debate vote was 29-20 YAY with the rest of the Nationalist Conference abstaining. Although it passed to floor debate, this represents HRM's first major political hurdle as in the past nationalist party support for kings was ironclad.

Montoya is an ardent nationalist who is on record saying that the kingdom "shouldn't consort with Communist, Socialist, or left of center nations." It is believed this order is actually coming from the palace in a move to make the Royal Administration seem more moderate/centrist.

Furthermore, before this loose coalition can be assembled, I would not be doing my due diligence as leader of the Social Democratic Conference without demanding to know exactly where the procured funds from the high tax to be placed upon the sale of cannabis is to go. It desperately needs to be routed to our lacking social safety nets. MODEST is quite generous in describing them. Far too so. "At least 1,000 left leaning protesters have gathered in Annabella I Square in Cadiz to begin protesting the nationalist dominated/led government's harsh & conservative crackdown on openly gay/bi men serving in the military. We gather from more signs popping up that this protest is branching out into a wider revolt against Avalon's socially/culturally conservative policies regarding abortion as well. I can see from the outskirts of this protest that more are gathering here in the center city square. They're being loud, shouting. I think I see a few bull horns. So far protest is peaceful.......

° Nacional Senado de el Archipiélago has just passed a NO CONFIDENCE Vote on sitting NCRA PM Enrique Suarez. Reportedly because of "His inept inaction on this ongoing crisis and open rebellion." according to one nationalist senator.

Vote was 80-20. 20 NCRA senators held the party line. They're known as the more moderate faction. 36 turned on Suarez. Every Social Democratic senator (NSDU) voted YAY. As did the body's lone Independent.

According to the Second Constitution of 1850, once a No Confidence vote passes, a vote to temporarily bestow upon the monarch emergency powers must be held. Procedural debate already underway within nationalist conference.

We could see the first snap election in Justosian history. No Confidence votes have passed before. Against the prior 2 NSDU PMs of the 1900's. However since the Second Constitution, a reigning Justosian monarch has never had the absolute powers his ancestors had returned to him.

"This December first, twenty twenty three. Year of our Lord. My fellow patriots, countrymen of the archipiélago, hello. I needn't introduce myself. You know who I am.....

Like we both know, I'm not the speaker my padre was. He was brash, and confident. To confront the mammoth challenges of his reign I suppose he had to be. My tact, is different. I am presenting to you the hard facts. What you see and hear around you currently the is midst of a national and constitutional crisis. For too long we've tolerated or simply overlooked the flaws, incomplete clauses and amendments from the Second Constitution that didn't, couldn't have stood the test of time. That's part of why these flaws metastasized into mortal threats to the government in my name. The violent protests you see down south in Cadiz and Ceretia are symptoms of the sickness.

For more than fifty years now we've marginalized and in some cases, persecuted what is close to the other half of our voting population. Those who support the minority opposition party. Democrats, leftists, still Justosians. A sidelined sect of a society will only endure such trifles for so long before snapping into inter generational action. Each district will see to the resolution of their highest legal matters within their high courts temporarily. A nation that wants to fashion itself as an evolved, legitimate player on Eras must not have a lop sided, rubber stamp high court. After a new Senado is sworn in, I am calling on them to initiate a Constitutional Conference to expand the court to nine members from seven. If they vote to rescind my emergency powers, I will of course accept this.

* Social Democrático HQ in the Government Quarter of the capital is buzzing with activity on a level not seen in a generation. Senado Minority Speaker & defacto leader of the national party, Manuel Albarra, said that:

"This time the feeling around here is markedly different. We believe we can really win."

* After dissolving the government in his name, King Carlos Francisco III says in brief statement that he implores the NSDU HQ to coordinate & implement national primary immediately. The National Social Democratic Union must select a candidate for Prime Minister before the implementation of snap elections can proceed.

* Sitting nationalist PM Erinque Suarez is the Nationalist Center Right Alliance's candidate & faces no opposition.

* Zalavega Mayor Henrico Pena has been officially nominated by the Nacional Social Democrático Union to be the party's candidate for highest elected office in the archipiélago. The Office of His Excelencia the Prime Minister.

* Pena took 52.2% of the nacional vote. Both opposing candidates have made their officials phone calls of concession.

* Zalavega has a population of roughly 600,000 & a surrounding metropolitan area pop of roughly 700,000

* Pena has been Mayor of Zalavega since his predecessor died in office in 2013.

* Pena is only the second islander to be nominated by the NSDU. First candidate was in 1910

* He is 38 years old & single.

* His most recent approval rating in the city was 56%

* He consistently describes himself as a pragmatic center left politician & does not often emphasize his loyalty to NSDU party hierarchy.
