Injunct South Pacific
Category: Injunction | Nominee: South Pacific
Proposed by: Quebecshire | Onsite Topic

The World Assembly,

Strolling along the sandy beaches of South Pacific, a calm and tropical region home to a community with an established constitutional government,

Applauding South Pacific for enduring as long as it has without a Founder, now Governor, and simultaneously welcoming new nations into their society and cultivating a thriving democratic culture rooted in their founderless history, despite the associated risks,

Disheartened that this has naturally made South Pacific a target for bad-actors, with countless invasions occurring over the years. Most notably, one in 2020 which devastated the region due to rarer tactics employed by invaders,

Aware that South Pacific was thus previously Liberated by necessity in 2017 by Security Council Resolution 218, but understanding that the Liberation is no longer sufficient to guarantee the long-term safety of the region and its people,

Previously enthused that due to recent shifts in power, South Pacific has finally seen an opportunity to consolidate safe control over itself, only to be taken advantage of by invading forces as part of an annual celebration of brutality and barbarism,

Confident that the resolve of South Pacific’s longtime community can rebuild after this incursion, though certain that this Injunction is necessary to prevent a permanent annexation by the depraved forces of raiderdom,

Hereby Injuncts South Pacific.
Note: Only votes from TNP WA nations and NPA personnel will be counted. If you do not meet these requirements, please add (non-WA) or something of that effect to your vote.

Overview
This proposal seeks to forbid South Pacific from converting to a Frontier. It commends the region for its endurance without a founder or governor, however, the proposal does also recognize that the region has been subjected to numerous invasions. It acknowledges that South Pacific was liberated by SC Resolution 218, however, this proposal states that liberation is no longer adequate to guarantee the long-term safety and security of the region and its people. It also says that whilst it is confident that South Pacific has the ability to rebuild from recent invasions, South Pacific should be injuncted to prevent further attacks from raiders.

Recommendation
It is important that the people of South Pacific are protected from further brutal attacks by raiders. Whilst we are confident that South Pacific has the capabilities to rebuild itself after the multiple incursions it has suffered, an injunction would be an effective way of supporting this determined yet vulnerable region and its efforts to defend itself from more attacks by the forces of raiderdom.

For the above reasons, the Ministry of World Assembly Affairs recommends a vote For the GA proposal at vote, "Injunct South Pacific".
