2025: Putin does a major offensive into Ukraine, inching closer to Kiev.

2026: The offensive is stopped only a few km's from Kiev, Poland intervenes and joins the war on Ukraine's side.

Several Polish divisions invade into Kaliningrad, whilst the rest of the Polish army moves to the frontline in Ukraine.
 
2027: NATO activates Article V and declares war on Russia due to Polish intervention in Ukraine, beginning WW3.
