World Assembly Proposal Updates and Overviews

Punctual IFV writing and release is essential to the smooth functioning of this Ministry. All too often, the Ministry as a whole can be caught off guard by proposals being unexpectedly submitted, especially when the queue happens to be empty. By taking action earlier and monitoring proposals as they are being drafted on the forum, we can ensure that our Ministry is collectively aware of upcoming developments, and can plan accordingly. This also provides a great opportunity to get a head start on IFV writing, as the new IFV "Overview" sections are intended to be factual statements of a proposal's purpose.

To that end, to avoid unnecessary clutter on the Executive Discord (which you should definitely join if you have not already), and to increase activity on our forum, I've created this thread specifically for the posting of proposal updates and overviews.

Procedure:
  1. Browse the NS General Assembly and Security Council subforums when you're able to do so.
  2. If a new proposal draft has been posted in either subforum, comment here by filling in the New Draft code and writing up a short description of what the proposal does (the overview).
    1. Alternatively, fill out the New Draft code in the WA Affairs Discord channel and someone will copy it over into this thread.
    2. If you are unable to write up an overview at that time, simply leave it out of the code.
  3. If there is a change in status for a given proposal draft (e.g., the draft was abandoned, was pushed to [Last Call], will be submitted in the near future, etc.), comment here by filling in the Status Change code.
    1. Alternatively, notify us in the WA Affairs Discord channel and someone will make a post here.
  4. If a proposal draft has been submitted, comment here by filling in the Submitted code and opening a voting thread in the main WA Affairs subforum.
    1. Alternatively, notify us in the WA Affairs Discord channel and someone will make the requisite post and voting thread.

Please note that these templates are flexible and should be adjusted based on the needs of a given situation.

This system will be undergoing a trial period of a few weeks. Should it work, it will be integrated with other Ministry initiatives such as the card rewards program.
