Global Union Peacekeeping helps countries navigate the difficult path from conflict to peace. We have unique strengths, including legitimacy, burden sharing, and an ability to deploy troops and police from around the world, integrating them with civilian peacekeepers to address a range of mandates set by the Global Union Security Council and General Assembly.

Global Union General Assembly Notice

General Information:

The Global Union is the world's governing body. Membership is optional and not mandatory, but all nations that have decided to become members must abide by legislation it passes. Encompassing the Global Union's entire membership body, the General Assembly represents each nation within the international organization. Acting as the primary legislative structure within the organization, the majority of resolutions are voted on inside the General Assembly; these decisions are made by a two-thirds vote. Each nation holds one vote, with each being equal to one another.. Peacekeeping Units are in charge of making sure that the legislation is followed. Global Union Peacekeeping helps countries navigate the difficult path from conflict to peace. We have unique strengths, including legitimacy, burden sharing, and an ability to deploy troops and police from around the world, integrating them with civilian peacekeepers to address a range of mandates set by the Global Union General Assembly.

Regulations:

- Legislation passed in the General Assembly must be followed until appealed by an entente
- Proposals must have at least three perambulatory clauses as well as at least three Operative Clauses
- Proposals may not singularly address certain nations; proposals should be able to apply to the body of the GU
- If a proposal is deemed (a) prejudiced or (b) one-sided, then it will be ruled Illegal
- Condemnations and Commendations must be passed through a select collection of nations before being approved
- To motion for caucuses, one must say "Motion for a [unmoderated or moderated] caucus for a speaking time of [insert time] and speaking for [15 or 30 seconds],"
- When writing proposals, record the sponsors and signatures at the top of the proposal
- Debate on the legality of a proposal may only last for a certain amount of time designated by the moderator.

The Majestic Twelve have to wonder what legitimacy an organisation claiming to be the world's "governing body" could possibly have, when it appears to have been set up by the repressive and murderous Oclusian regime, and is headquartered in their country. The other nations signing up to join an organisation founded by such thugs should be ashamed of themselves. Haor Chall will not be joining any such "global union" when it is associated with a regime such as this.

Statement from the Department of Foreign Relations and Trade in Mondari ​
The Mondic government brings into question the legitimacy of such an alliance, as Haor Chall has, due to the claim it puts forward as the "world's governing body." On top of that, the fact that many of these nations joining this union, of note being Highton and Prydania, both either have a significant Courantist population, or condemned Oclusia over their persecution of their Courantist majority. The joining of an alliance founded by Oclusia shows that the governments in said nations are willing to either ignore their self-proclaimed ideals regarding the treatment of Courantists or did not actually care that the Oclusian government that is persecuting their Courantist population and just used it as a political tool to gain favor by their Courantist populations. In any case, it is a shameful act to join such an alliance. This alliance should be condemned, as Oclusia has, due to it legitimizing a government that persecutes a religious group, something Prydania should abbhore due to what the Syndaclist government did to the Shaddaist population in Prydania. The government of Sutherland should also be ashamed of joining an alliance formed by Oclusia due to Sutherland's quite large Courantist population, because of the persecution of the Courantists in Oclusia by the Oclusian government. If this alliance is legitimized, then the persecution of Courantists in Oclusia is also legitimized. We hope the international community realizes the mistake that is legitimizing the "Global Union" before placing themselves on the wrong side of history

We are sorry that you feel this way about the Global Union. Please note that the regime of the Democratic Republic of Oclusia is under review and is to be replaced in the upcoming days. Please note that this governing body is not associated with the Democratic Republic of Oclusia in a sense of administration and leadership. Leadership is led by the body of all the nations involved, not just the nation that was the founder of our national organization. The Global Union is planning on working with the new Oclusi Organization to come up with sets of laws that appeal to those passed by their former President. Also, in terms of the Headquarters, please note that our Headquarters Building is being built in the city of Peuportîle, Peuportîle.

We understand your concerns. However, our organization was started upon the demise of the Lyovkin Yermolayevich Administration and in with the newer administration. It was started by Oclusi, yes, but don’t be confused. The Oclusi that founded our organization in no way meant to erase the memory of the Yermolayevich Administration. The organization was built to promote world peace and tranquility. It was an aspiration of the new government to avoid further mass killings and humanitarian crimes in the future whether they are Oclusi or Prydanian or a native tribe member. We understand your questioning and we understand your concern, but we assure you that this organization was to create world peace and stability.

To the Global Union,

While the Commonwealth of Merilia has for the time being chosen to join the Global Union in the spirit of peace and solidarity and a deep seated knowledge that an open forum for discussion on a global scale is beneficial to all nations of Eras and her peoples, the organization must not be hasty in rushing forward in being a global presence. There have been two prior attempts, the International Association of Nations and it's successor, the Society of Nations; both of which failed due to national sovereignty being present and deeply entrenched throughout the nations of Eras. Here in Merilia as well, there are apprehensions and fears that future legislation of the Global Union could tread on the sacredness of Merilia's long-standing neutrality and its policies of humanitarian interventionism. However, Councilor Helvig, Councilor Mathison, and Councilor Singleir wholeheartedly believe that a global forum can ease tensions throughout Eras and allow for diplomacy and negotiation to resolve issues long before there is a need for war and needless death and destruction. As such, the Government of Merilia believes that more work needs to be undertaken on the foundations of the Global Union and its exact focus and nature. Once that has been accomplished and clarity has been found, then could the Global Union be a force for good in Eras and reach out to other nations that may have reservations about joining the organization.

The news of Yermolayevich's death had not reached Sudo when the past statement was put out, we are quite happy that the Global Union is an independent body from the Oclusian government and that the headquarters is not set in Oclusia. On top of that, with the reparations and release of Mondic citizens, we do not have an issue with the current administration for now, we believe that it is going in the right direction with regards to the new leadership [in Oclusia]. Due to this, we do not have an issue with the Global Union, however, we will not pursue membership until the alliance is more widely acknowledged. We wish this Union the best of luck in its upcoming future and we hope it can help prevent another crisis such as the recent [Oclusian] crisis.
