Breaking: Delegate Pallaith declares: “Roleplayers are not funny!”

@Syrixia, 48, is a senior police detective and an elected Senator representing North Carolina in the US Congress. But in The North Pacific, he is a roleplayer and a key member of an important community.

Syrixia speaks to Greitbart about the attack on roleplaying

A roleplayer. As are most of the people in his community, a discord server where about 40% cast their ballots for Pallaith in 2019. Syrixia is a Pallaithican, as are about 1 million other adult North Pacificans, according to rough estimates. Few combine the two identities, “roleplayer” on one hand “Pallaithican” on the other.

The tension involved in his unusual profile became acute over the weekend, when Greitbart reported that the Pallaith administration is weighing a move to define community participation as strictly gameplay related, denying the very basis of the roleplayer identity. The scope of these new rules are unclear and possibly don’t exist.

This was confirmed when Pallaith flew into a rage in the amusing discord quotes thread, a popular location for immense debates of public importance and declared that “roleplayers are not funny”.

This news drew concern from RP groups.

COE expressed concerns about the oppression of roleplay

“I am afraid” @Crushing Our Enemies said in an interview “I am absolutely distraught that the Delegate would hate role play, the very essence of my being”.

Prominent gameplay figure and anti-roleplay campaigner @St George Soros spoke to Greitbart and called for calm stating that there was no need to be afraid. “Those who participate in gameplay only will have nothing to fear in these new changes.”

@Prydania is campaigning hard against the anti-roleplayer attacks led by Pallaithicans

Prydania, an equal rights campaigner observed that the new policy would be in line with the Delegate’s attempt to crush roleplayers and ban them from serving in the military. “The administration has prohibited the mention of the word Roleplayer in official budget documents” Prydania said, adding, “As a roleplayer, it is disgusting to see this government continue to push these types of things through in a community that is changing.”

Syrixia said he has been encouraged by the swift response from the roleplayer community. “ @Great Bights Mum, @El Fiji Grande, @BMWSurfer and @Gladio, all vital members of the roleplay community have expressed their disdain with the delegate’s new policy initiative. I couldn’t ask for a more supportive community”.

Politicians across the North Pacific joined the chorus against defining participation as exclusively gameplayer.

“For roleplayers to be phased out of existence, that would be a terrible violation of our bill of rights. How can we stand for individual liberties if we are ready and willing to use the force of government - completely antithetical to what Pallaith-supporters believe - to deny someone’s ability to exist in our society? As Pallaithicans we should be appalled at that!” @TlomzKrano said.

Appalled indeed.
