The Northwestern Union

It was time; time for this month's NWU meeting- This time it was being hosted in the capital and biggest city of Andrenne, Mitta. It was a city of 12 million, and had a larger population then any other city in Andrenne. Sven Kalder, the Andrennian delegate had talked to the other delegates of the NWU, and told them when the meeting would be and where it would take place. It would be on Friday at 12:30 PM in Conference Room 5 of the The Renaissance Hotel, which was one of the best hotels in all of Mitta.

They were also being given deluxe rooms in the very same hotel. Before the delegates were to arrive in Mitta on Thursday, Sven needed to speak with the Chancellor of the NWU about something that was somewhat important to Mr. Kalder and the rest of the Andrennian government. They felt that the Nins should be allowed to at least send an observer, so that they could at least hear if the NWU states would talk about them during the meeting.

State of the Republic Address, Congreso de la República de Cojedes, Cojedes, Capital District of the Republic of Cojedes.

President Manuel Estafan is giving his 4th State of the Republic Address before a join session of the Cojedesian Congress. He knows that he has to keep the speech short and sweet since he is going to Andrenne in the morning for the NWU meeting in Mitta. He is talking about many important topics, including some that he will raise at the NWU meeting.

"Speaking of foreign relations. Tomorrow morning, I will travel to Mitta, Andrenne for the First meeting of the NWU. This meeting will consist of all members of the NWU. It will be a very important meeting for us and for the NWU as a whole. I am looking forward to this meeting and raising issues that I believe are important, including the foreign aid that we supply to other nations. It might as well be a good opportunity to talk to the other foreign leaders about trade and how we can increase our trade relations. In conclusion, not only do we need to focus on our foreign affairs, but we need to put our people and our country first. Thank you for being here. God bless you all!", says President Manuel Estafan while ending his speech before the Congreso de la República de Cojedes.

The members in the building and the guest in the observatory clap as loud as they can. Some are even cheering as they have strongly supported what they heard. The President shakes hands with members and then he leaves the building, goes to his house, and packs his bags for Andrenne.

Simón Cojedes International Airport, Cojedes, Republic of Cojedes

President Manuel Estafan, First Lady Gabriela Isler Estafan, Vice President Enrique Núñez, and translator Juan Santiago are all at the airport and are preparing to get on the plane to head to Andrenne. Before they board the plane, the press bombards the President to ask him questions.

"It is an honor to get to travel on behalf of Cojedes to Andrenne. I hope to raise some major issues that our countries are facing, but especially, I want Cojedesian interest to be known. They need to know what is going on in our country and I hope that it will not fall on dead ears and that they will be able to help us.", says President Estafan.

The reporters also asks the First Lady what she will do in Andrenne. Her response is, "I will be there to support my husband and my country. I am going to raise awareness to rebuild from the floods that occur in the East and from the tornadoes that have tore through the South of the country. I will continue to fight for these people in both area and I hope that our international partners will step in and support us."

The four get on the plane and take off into the night. On the plane, they discuss some of the issues they wish to raise at the meeting. They are issues that many Cojedesians would like to raise, especially in Cojedes itself, but they feel it should be raised abroad.

As there was a light snow at the airport Judicael's limo pulled up near the royal jet. As he opened the door Grace came at beside of him and they both entered into the cold and crisp air. As they were waiting outside the royal jet doors came down before them on the wet runway. Judicael took Grace's hand and escorted her up the stairs into the jet.

As they entered the jet twelve royal guards followed them inside of the jet. As all of them entered , the stairs retracted back up and closed the opening behind them. As they made their way in they took off their jackets and laid them near the doorway.

Judicael sat down near the window so he could get a view as Grace decided to set down beside of him . As she laid her head on his shoulder. Judicael looked out of the window as the plane started to take off and he got prepared for the long flight that was to come.

The sound of wailing police sirens could be heard around Goyanes City, as the exceptionally large motorcade made its way towards IAF Gojannesstad. The motorcade was carrying the Grand Emperor, the Prime Minister, the Foreign Minister, and countless other aides and staff. As the motorcade rolled into the hangar of the airbase, several aircraft awaited them for their flight to Mitta.

Mrs. Olivia Wehrn was sat down in her darkened office. The curtains on the windows behind her were closed with some sunlight peeking in between the gap of the two curtains. Shee turned on the computer on her desk and clicked the skype app government video chatting app on her task bar. She clicked the contacts list, and then she clicked on the name of Goyanes' Prime Minister. She waited for Norberg to pick up.

As Norberg was waiting in his hotel room, finishing up his work, his video cha started ringing. He clicked answer, as he said, "Hej?"

"Ah, hello Norberg- I'm sorry to bother you, but there's something we should talk about quickly, before the meeting. It's simple really- I believe that while the Nin's shouldn't be allowed to actually partake in the meeting they should at least be allowed to have someone on video chat as an observer. I feel that it's not entirely fair to not let them know anything about what's happening in the NWU." She said, signing off on a few papers in the background and shuffling some things around in one of the drawers of her desk.

Mitta, Andrenne

While awaiting for the NWU meeting to begin, President Manuel Estafan, First Lady Gabriela Isler Estafan, and Vice President Enrique Núñez decided to do some sightseeing and visit the Fascist War Memorial. While at the memorial, they paid their respects to all who lost their lives in the war by laying a wreath and saying a prayer.

"It is so humbling to be here.", begins Gabriela, looking down the list of those killed in the Battle of Mitta. "These people gave their lives to fight for what they believed in, no matter what it was they believed in. My great-great uncle died during this war you know. He was a Marine who landed in Northern Andrenne. He died while they were fighting in Mitta. His name is somewhere around here."

"You are right Gabriela. It is humbling to be here, in the "presence" of all these men and women who fought so bravely for their countries, no matter what side it was on. This is what we should be teaching our children in Cojedes. They should not be afraid to fight for a cause they believe so strongly about. That is what these people did here.", begins President Manuel Estafan.

Before the President can continue saying something, the Vice President interrupts him.

"Gabriela. I think I have found your great-great uncles name. Come look.", says Vice President Enrique.

The three look at the name on the white stone tablet. The name reads, "Lieutenant Alejandro Isler." The First Lady begins to cry as she sees the name. The three lay another wreath in front of this stone tablet. On the wreath, there is a note attached. It reads, "With much love to you, Uncle Alejandro."

"Gabriela. If it is to much for you, we can leave.", says President Estafan.

"No no Manuel. I am fine. It is just so emotional the stories I have heard of him. He was a hero.", says Gabriela.

"Yes. Quite so. If I recall correctly, he was awarded the Order of Courage by President Gloria Ramirez, the 58th President of Cojedes.", responds Vice President Enrique.

After walking around for a little while longer and paying their respects at other parts of the memorial, they leave and head to Juell-Sole, a popular Andrennian restaurant in Mitta. They walk away from the memorial as the sun sets, shinning on the stone tablets.

As requested by Mr. Kalder and the Andrenne Government Ninhundish Prime Minister Dominik Hürrmann has decided to send some Ninhundish observers over to Mitta. "Even though we are not a member state of the NWU we still have the right to know exactly what goes on between the NWU nations. For we are still part of the community and have all rights to hear what is being said in this meeting. On behalf of the Ninhundish Government we thank the Andrenne Government for allowing us to listen in."

As PM Dominik Hürrmann makes his way to Mitta he feels that he has to speak to the Andrenne Prime Minister about international relations not just with the NWU but between the two countries. "Dear Prime Minister Wehrn I strongly believe that our international borders and relations should be fixed. Cojedes, Argonisi, and Selvaris still allow open borders and free trade with Ninhundland. Even Nogori who were have closed borders with still has free trade. I am very grateful that you think it's unfair for us not to listen in or even partake in this meeting. I have brought along some of the CEOs of the Ninhündisch Autlandferhaldengenäindracht (Ninhundish Foreign Relation Union) to help discuss the future relations. We strongly believe that opening the borders to trade and allowing flights through would generally lower the tension and hate between us. We may have fought a lot in history and we still aren't the best of friends and we probably never will be but we should try to come as close as we can to that".

By executive order of the Chancellor of the NWU, we hereby disband the NWU and designate the Pan-Gotic Union (PGU) the official legal successor of the NWU.
