Harper Lee was a visionary writer who inspired millions, even if that inspiration, the beautiful novel that was until one year before her death her one-hit wonder, was a happy accident. It's so very sad to see her go but as her very private personal life has shown us, it is not the author of the book herself that we should remember primarily, but instead the book she wrote that should be remembered. It is that book, its legacy, and its lessons that will remain strong even after the death of the mortal human being that wrote it. I think that's how Harper Lee would've wanted her legacy to be remembered.
