The newly crowned king was still in mourning after the recent death of his wife Nora. She was the one who inspired him to turn the dictatorship into a monarchy since she always wanted to become a queen. It was her death that made him turn the dictatorship into a monarchy. King Judicael thought to himself that the young queen would make a fine one and she would be an excellent queen for Nogori, the queen it deserved. The king became very sad at the thought of his wife but he was quickly woke up by one of the guards. The king has decided to take the Nogorian fleets flagship The Sovereign. It was formerly known as the Iron fist and it is considered one of the best warships in The North Pacific. He was glad to go to Arrandal after he repeatedly tried to make contact during the civil war. It was then the guard told the king that they were coming upon the port city of Mysthaven. He was prepared to go to this foreign land and make diplomacy. The guard also informed the king that once they were to land they were to take a train to the capital. It was finally time to greet the people and be welcomed to Arrandal.

We look forward to having King Judicael I attend. We will play the anthem of your people upon your arrival and it will be so loud that it will wake the angels of heaven.

Currently the queen is the last remaining member of the royal family, and it will be a few more years before she considers marriage. But there are other great houses that would make powerful allies and strengthen the ties between our nations.

Very well we shall look into other families and thank you for playing the anthem , do you have any other families in mind though?

The crowds began to gather within the cathedral of the Sepulcher of Anastasias. Great sweeping arches and pointed arches, with decorative columns and a painted ceiling greeted dignitaries and nobles alike. A panorama of angels and mighty warriors stretched from corner to corner of the vaulted ceiling. Gargoyles stared down from buttress and arch, ornate and gothic beasts set in stone to ward away evil. And yet it's size was the greatest feature of the cathedral. Able to hold six thousand people, the open space loomed, and all entering could feel the weight of the building and its towering spires; its flying buttresses.

Organ music echoed from the stones, celebratory tunes played to rouse the soul, patriotic and moving songs to inspire the people. Lined against the wall and at every column were troops in the Kragen Wadjia, the Royal Guard of Arrandal, stood posed and at the ready in green and black uniforms. They wore swords at their waste and held a long spear in their hands.

The altar had been removed from the dais and in its place a single wooden throne had been set up. The steps of the altar had been decorated with white and blue flowers, red velvet bows, and a red carpet leading from the foot of the throne to the foot of the altar dais.

As the midday sun approached its zenith the hall filled. Near the front were the members of the upper nobility, men and women dressed in silver and gold and scarlet. Directly behind were the foreign leaders and dignitaries who had come to witness the coronation. They were the most diverse group, dressed in ways that were alien to the people of Arrandal. Behind were those of the lesser nobility, the gentry, and the Markiter (the wealthy merchants).

The bells of the cathedral rang out twelve times, signaling the midday and the music stopped. A quiet hush fell over the crowd as they waited. Seven minutes passed and then a single bell rang out loud and deep. The doors of the cathedral opened and in rode a tall armored man on horseback. He galloped down the isle, the hooves of his steed echoing loudly even as an excited murmur rose in the crowd. He stopped at the foot of the raised altar, reigned in his steed and turned to face the door. He raised the visor of his helmet and cried aloud 'Where are the Lords Paramount? Where are the twelve peers? Your Queen comes to claim her crown. Do you stand beside her?' He then lowered his visor and with a great cry galloped back up the isle and out the door.

The shutters on the great windows were then closed, casting gloom within the cathedral. Trumpets blared and the the doors opened again and marching in dressed in magnificent armor of silver and gold, with crimson and azure capes came twelve men and women carrying torches. These were the twelve peers, chosen Knights from the Orders of the Azure Dawn and the Crimson Shroud. They marched to the altar and then ascending the steps raised the torches above their heads and called out in unison 'Illuminate!' Their torches went out and the windows were unshuttered, and light returned to the cathedral hall.

The trumpets rose again and from the doors to either side of the altar emerged the Lords Paramount. Five men from the left of the altar wearing the colors of Kranznikot, Brackenburg, Aberfaun, Granzludmark, and Estenmark. Three women from the right wearing the colors of Mysthaven, Mardova, and Sastenwald, followed by a young boy wearing the colors of Ritterhold They came around the foot of the altar, met at the center and then ascended the dais.

Next came the archbishop, appearing from out of an alcove behind the altar. He was a small bent man dressed in a white robe and a seven pointed hat atop his head. He carried a large book and was followed by two young boys dressed in white as well, one carrying a golden orb atop a silk pillow, the other an ornate golden crown. Two girls came from out of the same alcove carrying a great fur stole between them. They draped it across the arms of the throne then stood to either side.

Again the trumpets sounded, this time blaring out a new note and continuing for longer then the previous. As they played the doors opened and the lords and citizens of Arrandal, as well as those visiting, rose to their feet to face the door.

The young queen entered, stern and proud. She wore a gown of white with blue and gold lace, and a train that trailed behind her. Her hair was down up in a series of braids that wrapped about atop her head before falling in a single ponytail at the back. She kept her hands folded before her, tucked into the long arms of her gown. She was flanked on both sides by an armoured Arrandalian.

One was a tall man with a gray beard and bald head. He wore the armor of the Azure Dawn (Arrandals oldest chivalric order), with a twelve pointed sun emblazoned on the chest piece signifying him as the Grand Master of the Order. He carried a fine sword in front of him, sheathed in black leather with a handle in the shape of an eagle with spread wings. Yet it was the other companion of the Queen that drew more attention.

She was a tall women of nine feet, (two hundred seventy-five centimeters), with hair that looked like matted leaves and armor that was made from polished wood. Upon her back she carried a weapon that looked like a sword carved from a tree itself. Her cape was made of moss and lichen.

They progressed down the aisle and at the foot of the altar the two escorts took up positions at the foot of the dais while the queen ascended to the throne and took up a position in front, standing and facing the crowd. The archbishop came forward and opening the book he read a number of passages in Old Arrandalian. His voice was high and crisp, and while few understood his words, it was clear that what he read were holy words. He finished and motioned for the queen to kneel. She did so and the archbishop took the crown and held it over her head. He then spoke and his words carried.

'Will you solemnly promise and swear to govern the people of this Kingdom of Arrandal, and the dominions thereto belonging, according to the ancient statutes, and the laws and customs of the same?'

The Queen answered, 'I solemnly promise so to do.'

Again the archbishop spoke. 'Will you to your power cause law and justice in mercy to be executed in all your judgements?'

'I Will.'

Again the archbishop spoke. 'Will you to the utmost of your power maintain the Laws of Azulnais and the true profession of the Gospel? Will you maintain and preserve inviolably the settlement of the Church of Arrandal, and the doctrine, worship, discipline, and government thereof, as by law established in Arrandal? And will you preserve unto the Bishops and Clergy, and to the Churches there committed to their charge, all such rights and privileges, as by law do or shall appertain to them or any of them?'

'I swear it.'

Satisfied the archbishop then placed the crown upon her head and raised her up to stand and face the crowd. A cry of 'The Queen has come! Peace to Arrandal! Praise Azulnais!' rose up to greet her. Then the stole was placed on her shoulders and she sat upon the throne. The lords paramount then cried out 'Long Live the Queen.'

Next she was given the orb to hold in her left hand. Then the young boy dressed in the garb of the Lord Paramount of Ritterhold received the sword with the eagle handle from the Grand Master and carried it to the throne placing it across the Queen's lap. He then removed his cloak with the emblem of Ritterhold and likewise laid it in her lap.

The trumpets sounded once again, with the final tune of the Arrandalian national anthem. Cheers and applause erupted from the crowd. The orb was given to the archbishop who replaced it on its pillow. The sword and cloak were picked up by the two girls next to the throne and the queen stood up and the cheers grew louder. The cloak was then fastened around her neck over the royal stole. Afterwards the sword was presented to her and drawing it from the sheath she raised the blade and cried 'I jeg bregalet stromru!' (I bring the storm!).

Then she exited the hall to thundering applause and deafening cheers. Her departure was followed by the Lords Paramount, then the twelve peers.

(OOC: If anyone would like to post their reactions to the ceremony, they can do so. I'll be moving the RP forward to the celebration afterwards and everyone will have a chance to meet the queen.)

Sebt observed carefully, it had been a while but I had reminded him a great deal of when he had been elevated to Khan. He was stood in the customary black dress uniform of the Khanate, attached to his left sleeve by silver chain was a large gorget-like clasp holding a small second sleeve depicting the Crescent clan's banner. Next to him Andrea was in a far more relaxed-looking dark blue ladies skirt-suit. He was very impressed by the proceedings, admiring the work on the ceremonial sword in particular. Still, the young queen certainly did not seem nervous, she probably was but it certainly didn't come across even to someone like Sebt who had always looked for signs of weakness in others so he could learn how to interact with them accordingly when the time came. Agatha however seemed only to be lacking in experience, which frankly was obvious given her age, but with the correct advisors she would doubtless do well still the Khan looked forward to talking to her properly in order to give her a little advice of his own.

Sherwin found the whole thing to be over-the-top. A horse inside a holy place? It bemused him to no end. Still the young Queen certainly played her part well and the spectacle of it all didn't detract from the dignity of it.

As they left the hall in preparation for the Galla and Abigail passed him little prince Edwin, who had remained remarkably calm. He carried the baby to the carriage that awaited them, noticing Khan Sebt and giving him a perfunctory nod. Sherwin thought about his own coronation, a far less grandiose affair, but there had been a parade. It had been a day he had dreaded for his entire youth but when it finally came he'd found that the weight of the crown had not been so heavy. His mother's presence he was sure, but mostly his father's strength.

I should take my father fishing when I return, Sherwin thought. Irwin wouldn't go but Amelia would enjoy it. Maybe he'd take Silvia too.

Music from a full size orchestral ban played loudly to a fast paced dance tune, welcoming the guests as they entered. Tables were set about the outer edge of the great hall for those who wished to sit and eat (servers walked back and forth bringing drinks and a wide variety of culinary dishes), while the center of the floor was opened for any who wanted to dance. Some of the Arrandalian aristocracy had already preceded into the floor and were performing a traditional dance, weaving in and out, moving from one dance partner to another as the musics tempo slowly increased.

The lords paramount stood together near the entrance to the great hall, greeting those who entered and making sure to welcome all foreign leaders and dignitaries. At the far end of the room on a raised stage the queen sat upon a throne, smaller than the one in the sepulcher. She no longer wore the garments of royal office, instead having changed into a turquoise gown with a frilled full skirt with a neckline that left her right arm and shoulder bared. Behind her throne stood members of the Azure Dawn in uniform, standing rigid and alert, though the queen was jovial and seemed to be enjoying herself.

She watched the dancers and laughed at their antics as men constantly jostled to dance with the prettiest women. The Queen greeted anyone who approached and took a few moments to speak with them. Some were well wishers, others were curious about her. Dignitaries would also approach with their own questions, wishing to meet the new Queen.

Nation: People's Republic of Zelgathon
Representative: Henry Milton
Title of Representative: Prime Minister
Other Personnel: Four armed service members present for the VP's protection
Special Requests: Prime Minister Milton hopes to discuss various policies with the Queen and is generally looking to have a good time at the event, hoping he has the ability to do so.

Are you interested in diplomatic relations with Arrandal? Strong yes.

*Let me know if we're accepted and if so, I'll commence with the RP*

The people's republic of Zelgathon is accepted and we look forward to having Prime Minister Henry Milto attend.

(OOC: feel free to say that you were here for the coronation if you like)

Milton watched the young queen dancing around the ballroom, hoping to have a moment of his own with her, perhaps even in a dance. Milton was one of the youngest to rise to the position of Prime Minister in Zelgathon's history, being only 30 years old. It was not that he was her to seek a courtship with Queen Agatha, no, a 14 year old was much to young for him. The fact was that he was just young enough to be able to understand her and the position she was in. While at 14 he was running for school President, quite less important than the power she held at her age, it was their current position at their age which made them able to relate, or so he hoped.

He approached the queen with his service escort, asking them to stay relatively far back at the table should she accept his invitation. "We don't need to be dancing in a box of suits" he told them as he stood up at the end of the current song. As he approached the newly crowned queen with confidence and gusto only a man of his age and position could possess, he bowed his head curtly and asked if he might have the next dance with her majesty, Queen Agatha.

Sebt sat, watching the dancing with an intrigued look. The Wolvesh had not, as a culture, really developed much in the way of dance, the few ballroom-style dances they had developed were aggressive, conflicting, reflecting the combative nature of their civilisation and were mostly a relic from the strange century or so when foreign customs became fashionable in Wolfsea about 300 years ago. He felt Andre's elbow nudge him in the ribs "Sebt, you can stop glazing over now..." "Oh! Sorry." he smiled, the pair of them getting to their feet, Sebt had taken the opportunity to wear a few more accoutrements, adding a gorget and his squadron's pins whilst andrea had changed into a dark green corseted dress, a thin half-cape bearing the Khanate's colours gifted to San Antilles covering her left shoulder along with the fine silver chain belt hanging from her hips. The two of them mingled and gradually drew closer to Abigail, socialising and moving with an almost martial precision yet not seeming to be going in any general direction.

Zelgathon:

Agatha gladly accepted the dance as the band changed songs to something more contemporary. She had to quickly recollect who this man was, but she had been pre-educated on her guests for that night. His name, and country, was quickly remembered.

'Thank you Prime Minister,' she said taking his hand as he lead her onto the dance floor. 'I hope you are enjoying your stay in Arrandal.'

He led her to the dance floor and took his preliminary position. "It's an honor your majesty." As the music began playing and the dancing commenced Milton was indeed impressed. "You dance very well your grace, I'm sure if you rule as well as you dance, your people will see prosperous times." It was a awkward comment, but he tried at least. As the danced around the ballroom, the conversation transitioned from pleasantries into business. Milton ensured that this transition wasn't forced, but was indeed gradual, using the rhythm of the music to almost dictate the flow of the conversation.

"Your grace, indeed when referring to markets, we seek to expand our own and would love a sort of trade deal with your country, as well as perhaps more." He spun her around quickly catching her as the violin whined, one of the more grandiose parts of the song. Despite her age, she certainly seemed mature, a good trait for a becoming queen. "I wish to potentially procure an alliance with Arrandal. We can discuss those details later on perhaps, but for now, as I had mentioned, we'd love to begin trading and possibly exchange embassies?" He made an effort to keep up with the tempo, a problem the queen didn't seem to have, but at his age, it was a bit more tedious.

Agatha allowed the Prime Minister to lead, and she found his dancing adequate, though stiff and formal. Despite that, he seemed to have some experience with dance.

He spoke of possible trade deals and commerce with Zelgathon, which is what her advisers had told her many of the visiting dignitaries would want to talk with her about. She listened to his offer and when he had finished she answered.

'Arrandal is in desperate need of new trade. The wars have ravaged much of our countryside and it will take at least a decade to rebuild our infrastructure. If your nation is interested in a trade agreement I will have my Minister of Trade contact your nation and we can begin discussing the details.'

She felt it might have been a little stiff and sounded practiced, but she did mean it. Trade was a necessity for the kingdom, and for its restoration. She finished the dance with the Prime Minister, thanked him honestly, and then turned to return to her seat and came face to face with the Khan of Wolfsea.

Sebt had been observing, carefully intercepting Agatha as she made her way back to her seat. He stepped forward as Andrea was able to join him, he placed his hand on his chest and bowed slightly, his head nodding forward slightly "Your majesty, please allow me to introduce myself." Smiling slightly, his imposing frame still a little intimidating despite his warm tone "I am Sebt, Khan of Wolfsea and this is my consort Princess Andrea." prompting his wife to also bow slightly before he continued "I have very much enjoyed our time as your guests your Majesty. The ceremony reminded me a lot of my own coronation." Then pausing "I realise my people have something of a reputation, I hope it has not made you too wary of us." He finished, giving Agatha a chance to reply.

Agatha curtsied at the khan and his consort, accepting their introductions with a warm smile. The Khan seemed to tower over her physically. 'I am pleased you have found Arrandal enjoyable,' she said. 'Had you seen Bravondy before the war you would be overwhelmed by the daily activity. I hope one day you can see it returned to its glory.'

'I have heard many tails of wolfsea. Most exaggerated I'm sure, though perhaps one day I'll find out for sure and visit your land,' she said excitedly.

She got quiet for a second as she built up the courage to ask what she really wanted to know. 'I've heard you are an expert swordsman? Have you been in any battles?'

The Khan smiled, nodding as he glanced at Andrea, his love for his wife the one emotion he couldn't hide even after almost a decade "More than my wife cares to think about." Causing her to smile and playfully slap his arm "You're the one who insists on marching on the skirmish line..." She sighed, it was clear she wasn't overly keen on him doing this but knew it was for a good reason. Sebt nodded "I began my career in the Air Force, usually I lead the battle from the air but I do try to join my warriors on foot. As for this..." Indicating his eye patch "I was assisting in a wetworks operation in Guslantis, target managed to injure my cornea, I keep it like this as both a reminder of my mistake and to sharpen my skills should I get a transplant." He confirmed before Andrea commented "it also happens to make him look rather dashing." She smiled "Of course you're welcome to visit Wolfsea whenever you wish."
