Here be the OOC thread for "Honorable Comrade, Lead Us!."

This RP details the end of the Syrixian Civil War and the rise of the People's Democratic Republic of Syrixia in 1947. The RP is open and all are welcome to choose sides.
 
I'm sturggling to understand what's going on in your OP, could you explain it a little... Sorry :p
 
It details the communist advance into the southeast, the last holdings of the Empire, as well as the Battle of Jaihan Hill and preparations for Operation Lotus.
 
Kannex at this time is led by a military dictator. Give me a reason to post; so far I don't have much of a story to enter with.
 
Well, what is the ideology/political spectral leaning of this dictator? This may help one decide. Perhaps the Kannexans could gain an ally in the PDRS or it could work with the Imperial government in exile once the communists win.

Like every good dictator, his only ideology is pragmatism.
 
At this point in time Esplandia had a position of military isolationism and would only have gotten involved in matters with our allies which Syrixia was not. It wasn't until the late sixties when the communists gained control of Tajis that they would break their isolationism. Though it will be interesting to see where this goes. Maybe the success of the communists in your country would inform how the communists came to power in Tajis.

Although that could be interesting, Der Untergang didn't exactly offer many roles for other countries.
 
if they were still in power between 1968 and 1972. Eventually I'm going to get there in my factbook history series. Maybe I'll role play the rise of the communist party in Tajis alongside your RP.

Okay then, continue... how do foreign countries play into this?
 
By choosing sides, people can expand on where their country stands during this time, and how life is in there at the time. The war is a good chance to show off politics and life in 40s Eras.
 
Nebula was at this point hard-line socialist- think Castro-style authoritarian socialism. We would have supported the communists. Possibly when the Communists in Syrixia collapse, that contributes to the original souring in relations that we see in modern RP.
 
In view of this, Kannex would probably be against. Hardline ideologues would poison the Kannexan Reich.

No, look at my history. Besides, the Syrixian communists so far seem to be content with "socialism in one country," whereas the Nebulans are hardline internationalist. General Johann Nemeth, the dictator of Kannex, dealt with communists on one side and fascists on the other, so he would be very wary of foreign ideologues pushing their agenda in the region.
