Ask Sadakoyama

Syrixia:
What's the capital of Sadakoyama?
We don't really have one. Our government structure, such as it is, is decentralized to start with, with a large proportion of the business of the University Departments filling the roles of a traditional government being accompished via electronic messaging of one kind or another. Also, there is not a strong division, like in other countries, between the government, the military, the University of Sadakoyama, and the population in general. With that in mind, having a "seat of government" is unnecessary.

When we started having dealings with other countries, however, we noticed this is one of those questions that gets asked frequently. So, instead of continually having to explain why we don't have one, it was collectively decided to name Ys, an artificial island just off shore from Academy City, as our "capital" The main feature of Ys is the Dream Island Amusement Park, which combines elements of Disneyworld, a Las Vegas Casino, and the Coney Island boardwalk. This is something of a joke at the expense of the professional politicians of other nations.

This is how my daughter asks me for a favor:
Hey Dad,

If you could print these, I'd be grateful. Not terribly grateful, but, you know. Grateful enough I suppose. "Put you up in a decent nursing home" sort of grateful. One with a game room, and a waffle buffet on Sundays.

Yeah,
The Best One

:)

quak1234:
How old is your daughter? She really does sound like the "best one". :P
She'll be 22 in January. I won't say she's the best because my son is a great kid too (he'll be 20 in January, their birthdays are four days apart), but she is practically a clone of me, personality wise.

Just finished Life is Strange. Trip and a half.
I watch it online, I'm excited to see what happens!
The cliffhanger Episode 4 left me on ;-;
Buckle your seat belt. God damn.
Finished.

I'll miss Chloe :(
Well, you could choose the other way...

The real trip is that Max saving Chloe at the start delayed getting justice for Rachel Amber. And with Nathan getting arrested, Kate is vindicated so she isn't driven to suicide. Max and Victoria are not tortured and killed, respectively. Nathan isn't murdered, but with two of his own to account for... well, Oregon does have the death penalty.

Kinda like "Raiders", Max's actions during the week made things worse, not better. Only by not acting is the universe put back into balance and the outcomes she tried to achieve are realized. It's very zen.

Still, if she'd never saved Chloe then I doubt Jefferson would've been caught unless Nathan fessed-up during questioning but I'd say Max would have still tipped-off the police about him, I'm not sure on that end :P.

But you are right.

No, it shows a photo of Nathan being interrogated, then the next is of Jefferson being arrested.

Watched "Straight Outta Compton" with my son last night, this morning I'm trying to remind myself that it is the uniform that makes cops racist thug assholes, not an inherent quality in the men themselves.
