Fluttr: OOC

Kannex put so much German in the Fluttr topic that Chrome keeps asking me if I want to translate the page.

May I just ask who this Christ person is, Kannex? I thought this wasn't Earth?

Parallel cultural evolution. Our people made the Ring movies but they are set in Sadakoyama instead of Japan.

If we can have English, we can have Jesus Christ.
Language doesn't enter into it. English in Eve could've developed just as easily as Syrixian or German or the now-non-canon-but-still-a-decent-example Eknorve.

What matters is that Jesus Christ is a real world figure and it's absolutely crazy for the EXACT SAME PERSON to appear in a fictional world. Maybe you could use his likeness but the EXACT PERSON himself is not quite alright.

EDIT: Wait, what if we made our own version of Jesus like Esquarium did? Ceretis and I are thinking of having a church conference of sorts; maybe other churches could join in. We could decide our Jesus' origins in the OOC thread.

We don't have to have those if we don't want to. It's our world; there are no obligations.

Why can't we? We have God in both RL and TNP. Except here we call him Syrixia and he always tells us what we can and can't do. :P

All worship My noodly appendage.

Also, @Cronaal: Añola hasn't heeded Syrixia's threat to open negotiations for the hostages' release or else yet:

I haven't done so because I don't know what to say on Burning Mountains, putting that as priority over Añola.

That's where you're wrong. One could argue he's the son of God and blah blah blah, but I will say he's a historical figure and thus he's an accident of history just like German, English, and other languages and social, cultural, and historical developments.

So yeah, I get Jesus AND German.

Not every character is going to be aware of what other characters are doing. The goings on between Kay and Vist would seem to me to be private. The world isn't aware that the defence Minister didn't support a war effort that he was actually executing for the Prime Minister :P

Ik, I just posted that cus I wasn't sure if that's what Boots actually thought.

Pisc, if that's what actually happens in the latest GoT, I hate you because I haven't gotten up to it yet. :c

I don't know, I've never seen it. Read the first book and was done with the whole thing.

I don't plan on any major role-playing until February, because of school. Kannex is adopting a de facto neutral position on the world stage until then.

So long as the text is immediately decipherable by Google Translate, I pronounce linguistic diversity on the Fluttr thread as A-OK. :ya:
