That's right folks.....its election time, the madness that comes every 45 days is upon us. Unlike last time a vote for senate is needed and is currently underway with six candidates putting themselves forward, Gadshack, Sekkanar, Achkaerin, Rybo101, El Presidente and Genstatum are contesting five places. Sadly Verover missed out on getting his name on the ballot due to forgetting to put a link on his application.

With the joke nominations of Pedro and Thomas the Tank Engine not being permitted by the Grand Chancellor the only real candidate Achkaerin automatically retains his position as Premier.

Best of luck to those standing for election and congratulations to Achkaerin on retaining his position.

FISHING FOR PRINCESSES With Achkaerin special forces having sneaked into Nueva Ardia they had to make a swift exit after Princess Maki was captured by locals. Having sunk a Nueva Ardian fishing ship however other nations operating in the area are on course to make a discovery of someone being involved. Meanwhile strange constructions are a foot in Vendosia.

EAST MORELAND PACK UP THE OFFICE Following a public referendum back home the ambassador for East Moreland has officially announced the nations decision to withdraw from the CIS alliance. With the office being placed into boxes it just remains to tidy up a few loose ends.

COUNCIL OF UNALIGNED NATIONS (CUN) HAVE FIRST VOTE The CUN have begun their first official meeting and on the agenda has been the issue of continuing the practice of ambassadors to major alliances such as the CSTO, CIS and Warsaw.

ARDIAN ENTENTE RELOADED The Ardian Entente is an organisation for the natiosn of that continent. In a communication from Rokkenjima proposals have been made to expand the organisation by creating a series of connected bodies dedicated to continental wide co-operation.

NO GO FOR NUEVA ARDIA After applying to join the Mundus Trade Organisation Nueva Ardia failed to gain admission with 3 votes for, 1 against, 1 abstention and 1 non vote, with their application required 2/3rds of members to support it they become the first nation to be refused admission into the organisation.

LIAR LIAR PANTS ON FIRE With the Duchy of Marseille having been home to the Sorority terrorist organisation which have carried out a series of attacks across Mundus speculation has turned to the governments connection to the group. With a video of a training camp emerging and its subsequent destruction the government of Marseille claimed it showed evidence of them tackling the problem, only for new footage to reveal a meeting between their army and the terrorists. It is yet to be seen how the world will respond.

MAP READING SKILLS REQUIRING WORK It would appear that Genstatum military require map reading training. Using newly printed maps a patrol managed to stray over the boarder into Epanastasia. Shortly after two military units began firing at each other with one survivor who reported a potential invasion. Both nations have gone on standby.

SHOW ME THE BOAT The King of East Moreland has headed over to United Holland to view a historical restoration project and engage in some diplomacy following his nations CIS exit.

BLOODY WORK The first whales have hit the beaches of Nya Aland. With several washed up on the beach Harper Rhodes of Seaforth refused the honour of the first kill while the guest Grand Marshall from Odmony appears to be less squeamish and is poised ready to begin the killing.

A SHIFT IN POWER With Chairman Zachariev of Zachachevania lying ill in hospital his wife has now been attacked by a doctor. The effects of the attack are yet to be announced.

COMMONWEALTH TREATY ORGANISATION ROUND UP

The corridors of power have been busy. This week we've seen the first Security Council Resolution passed. RESOLUTION #0001 has put in place conditions to try and reduce tensions between Nya Aland and Dartfordia. It puts in place a buffer zone between protestors and whalers while maintaining the commitment of nations to the Fair Seas Concordt.

Meanwhile there have been two amendments to the Charter, one to synchronise the timing of various elections while the is a slight amendment to the organisation of the International Court of Justice.



SPORTS ROUND UP

FORMULA MUNDUS The motor sport circus roared into Tytor, with a home team victory for Samuel Wood the crowd are sure to have enjoyed their day out. He beat Keke Bottas of the UNP into 2nd place and Aryton Senna of Dartfordia completes the podium. The race took place in the rain and saw Mika Riakkonen move to the top of the drivers Championship by a single point. Meanwhile Tanngrisnir race team top the Constructors Championship.

BASKETBALL RND.26 The Northfort Royals become the first team to clinch a play off spot sitting on a 21-5 record, The Imperials of Genstatum sit in second on a 19-7 record. The highlight of Rnd 26 games was The Imperials 98, Pretoria Province 91 after overtime.

CHAMPIONS LEAGUE KNOCK OUTS The excitement of knock out football came to the Champions League.The first leg of the Final 16 games have been played returning the following results

BOMING IN GENSTATUM An explosion rocked the capital of Genstatum and killed 8 people. It is expected that the Sorority carried out the attack.

DARTFORDIAN GOVERNMENT FACE PROBLEMS The Dartfordian government faces an uncertain future after coalition partners The Green Party told Socialist party that unless they Party took ‘immediate steps’ to fulfil the obligations of the Coalition Agreement in 2014, the Green Party would officially withdraw from the Coalition. This would bring about a snap election.

ELSIF TRIAL SET Nicolas Elsif who earlier this year orchestrated a terror campaign against Achkaerin has been informed that his trial will begin on Wednesday. The exact nature of the trial is still not confirmed because of "security reasons"

BODY BACK FROM THE MOON The Union of Nordic People have successfully recovered the body of the mysterious Nueva Ardian astronaut from Mundus and have returned to Mundus.

BOMB BLAST IN UAE Another Sorority attack took place in the UAE. The Afijid Bazaar in the Blymidian capital of Aba Daani was victim to a brutal car bombing which decimated virtually the entire market, killing around 52 people, to make matters worse a secondary device was used to wreck havoc amongst emergency services responding to the disaster.

ODMONY KING POISONED , King Haivir and several of his dinner guest have been poisoned during an evening meal. Haivir remains unconscious in critical condition and has been moved to Dijel for treatment.

BOMBING ROCKS VEROVER A bomb exploded at a bank in Verover in the early hours of Monday morning, but police said no one was injured. The device went off shortly after 4am, police said, ripping out a large part of the bank’s wall.

ENLIGHTENMENT MOUTH OFF After being silent for a while the terrorist organisation known as the Enlightenment have returned making a statement which concluded with " The are no more warnings, the time for war has come"

ELECTIONS IN SEAFORTH The elections to deciede the Premiers of the regions of Seaforth have taken place and the winners announced, meanwhile a pretender to the old title of King has surfaced.

SOUTH HILLS DON'T LIKE MONOPOLIES A senator has presented a bill to Senate that would put higher tariffs on the retail and operations of 'government endorsed monopolies', the senator naming Riviere Corp. of Achkaerin as a primary suspect.

TYTOR TO HAVE REFERENDUM Prime Minister Cornwallis has announced that a referendum will be held on Saturday on whether or not the Kingdom of Tytor should accede to the Commonwealth Treaty Organization

GOING IT ALONE East Moreland have announced the results of their own referendum on their membership of the CIS.

ROKKENJIMA OFFER TO MARSEILLES Following a rejection of the conditional offer of Rokkenjiman assistance to the Duchy of Marseilles Empress Beatrice has again issued a statement of caution against unilateral actions in the nation.
