Candidacy Declarations: May 2015 Special Delegate Election

This Special Election, The North Pacific will be electing a Delegate to serve until the next election in September. Any Citizen who has been a member for the last 15 days (since (time=1430280024)) is eligible to run for this office. Loss of Citizenship before the conclusion of this election will also result in loss of eligibility to run for any office during this election.

To run, one must either accept a nomination or declare candidacy in this thread. To withdraw from running, one must post a withdrawal of candidacy in this thread.

Acceptances of nominations, declarations of candidacy, and withdrawals of candidacy posted outside this thread will be discounted. Acceptance of a nomination is understood to also constitute declaration of candidacy even if no nomination has been made. Acceptances of nominations, declarations of candidacy, and withdrawals of candidacy must be posted during the candidacy declaration period to be valid. The candidacy declaration period is from (time=1431576024) (your forum time) to (time=1432008024) (your forum time). Voting will be approximately from (time=1432008024) (your forum time) to (time=1432440024) (your forum time).

This topic is intended for nominations, acceptances of nominations, declarations of candidacy, and withdrawals of candidacy; it may not be used for campaigning. Please keep in mind that lying about the election is election fraud, and that lying for any purpose is fraud.

I second Asta and Eluvatar. Although if both stand I will have a dickens of a job deciding which to vote for.

I also proposed that ASta be removed as election commisioner so that she can stand.

I would rather not be delegate at this time, but thank you for suggesting it.

REASON: I will be spending a good chunk of this term in the US, and i do not know if they have the internet over there, or whether I will be able to regularly access it. Besides which, in Florida on holiday I will have better things than NS on my mind.

I appreciate the nominations, folks, and thank you. But really, the office of delegate is not for me, and I do not think I would be a good one for a whole term.

If it were a bit shorter, I would probably stand in the name of stability.
 
I'll second Raven's nomination - and Tomb's as well ... although I somehow suspect he's not interested in running for election, I'm happy to give him the opportunity to do so, if he so chooses.

I'd like to third Tomb's nomination, and nominate RPI, COE, Severisen, Plembobria, Kialga, and Funkadelia, as well.
 
I appreciate the nomination, Alta, but at the current moment I do not believe I have the experience or time to dedicate. I must decline.

As I have said for the past several general and special elections, I will not seek and will not accept nomination or election to any office.

I ask that my name not be placed in nomination for this special election or any subsequent regular or special election.

I appreciate the sentiment, but having served as Delegate of TNP, I know what it entails, and it is not something I have the time for and only if you hate me would you elect me as Delegate.

So I decline this nomination.
