I'll make it clear now that you will still be able to vote "for," "against," "present," etc. Functional equivalets of "aye," "nay," and "abstain" will be accepted. This is being discontinued so that understandable votes not on this list will still be counted if it is a "functional equivalent" of aye/nay/abstain. I am sorry if I wasn't clear earlier.Eluvatar:But I kind of liked voting "For"
I also agree with RPI's policy here. But note that the 28 new words & phrases were approved by me only three days ago, well after "'the Ja-equals-Aye' thing." Also, if you were to cast your vote as "Frankly, I don't care," your vote would be invalid. "Frankly, I don't give a damn," "I don't care," and "Don't care" were valid, but "Frankly, I don't care" would not be. That's a big pitfall of the AWL, and a big reason I'm in full support of RPI's new policy.Syrixia:^Agreed.
Besides, I feel it's kinda stupid that "Frankly, I don't care" was allowed for "Abstain". That makes the whole "Ja-equals-Aye" thing that started this thread look like silly putty.
