ARCHIVED: Kaltian Republic, Foundation Day

After visiting Prime Minister Nursson and chatting a little with Minister Charles, Anthony heads back to the Eden Beach Resort. Once he arrives back he quickly finds Solveig sitting out on the balcony of her suite enjoying the sun.

Anthony: "I see you are finding time to enjoy the sun and not have to worry about running the country..."

Solveig: "The State Assembly can take care of itself. And the Ministers are busy prepping for Foundation Day. I'd be bored out of my mind if I was still back at my office in Summerland."

Anthony: "I won't argue with you on that. Anyways, the reason I stopped by your suite was to let you know that the dignitaries from Syrixia and Dalies have decided to stop by Summerland to check out a few museums. I recommended the Kaltian Museum of National History to Prime Minister Nursson and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Culture Shaw Atlas."

Solveig: "Mmm... That's always an interesting museum for foreigners to visit so they can learn our nation's history. Are [Mrs] Anyret Tivat, [Mr] Aicen Kotor, [Ms] Ridga Berane or [Mr] Lesiones Valais available right now?"

Anthony: "Those are the current patriarchs and matriarchs of the founding families. All four will be attending the Foundation Day festivities to honor their families along with their husbands/wives/children. What did you have in mind?"

Solveig: "See if you can get in touch with any of them and ask if they would be interested in giving a tour of the National History museum and maybe the city. I'm sure the Syrixians and Daliesians will love it. Oh and don't forget the Guslantians, I'd hate to leave any of our foreign dignitaries out in the cold."

Anthony: "Of course, but do know that after I make these calls I'm joining you out here to tan and you can do all the work."

Solveig: [laughing] "Fine, fine, fine... It would be unfair to make you do everything."

[Anthony leaves Solveig's suite and heads back to his own. Once there he pulls out his cell phone and makes four phone calls. He manages to get through to everyone and the results are as follows:

[Mrs] Anyret Tivat ... Will meet with the delegation from Guslantis when they arrive to tour the museums.

[Ms] Ridga Berane ... Will meet with the delegation from Dalies.

[Mr] Aicen Kotor and [Mr] Lesiones Valais ... Will meet with the delegation from Syrixia.]

[As Anthony hangs up the phone, Aicen calls his private driver and tells him to bring the car around. He instructs the driver to pick up Lesiones and then head to the National History Museum.
In the car Aicen and Lesiones are talking...]
Aicen: "So good to see you Lesiones. How are things things with the family back home?"

Lesiones: "They are good, the kids are growing up fast. All of them are looking forward to the Foundation Day festivities. What about you and your family?"

Aicen: "Good, good. My kids are enjoying their break from university.

Lesiones: "Anyways, how much do you know of the Syrixians? Anthony didn't exactly say much on the phone."

Aicen: "It was the same for me. Anthony seemed to be in a hurry to get off the phone. Can't blame the guy, he's on vacation and our Premier is making him do all the work."

Lesiones: [laughing] "Very true. Though from what I've heard we are on very friendly terms with the Syrixians. Should be nice to have a new audience to tell our families history to."

[Before Aicen can answer, the car pulls up in front of the museum and both get out and head inside. They walk up to the museum information desk and are told that the Syrixians had wandered off to the exhibit about Chalni. As they walk into the exhibit, they greet Prime Minister Nursson and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Culture Shaw Atlas.]

Aicen: "Good day gentlemen. You must be the Prime Minister and the Minister of Foreign Affairs from Syrixia."

Nursson: "That's right. And you are?"

Lesiones: "I am Lesiones Valais and this here is Aicen Kotor. The two of us are the current patriarchs of the Valais and Kotor families."

Aicen: "Our Vice-Premier called the four of us and asked if we'd be willing to meet with our foreign guests and give them a tour or answer any questions they might have."

Atlas: "All four of you?"

Aicen: "Yes... all four of the founding families, Tivat, Kotor, Berane and Valais, still exist today. Chalni does still have some living descendants but his family chooses to stay in the background and keep to themselves."

Lesiones: "Well now that the formalities are taken care of, what say we get down to showing you around and answering any questions you might have."

"I do have one question; why has House Ruach Tov decided to be so secluded? Chalni founded Kalti itself and led its people from their old homeland; surely they would feel some sort of compassion for their country and attend the festivities, right?" said Atlas curiously while the four men walked towards the exhibit on Chalni.

Aicen decides to answer,
"House Ruach Tov and the Vorce family are two different things. The Vorce family are the descendants of Chalni and you will see some of the family members during the festivities but they like their privacy. if you are lucky you may be able to meet them in a few days when the national anthem and history are recited. That honor is always held by a member of the Vorce family."

Lesiones jumps in,
"With House Ruach Tov, it is a privately held religious institute. The Houses used to be tied to the founding families but we let them go millenia ago. At this point in time House Ruach Tov is led by High Priest Geoffrey and High Priestess Audreyn who will both be attending the festivities alongside the other Houses, High Priests and High Priestesses."

Ms. Charles: Mmm, these Kaltian men are gorgeous!

Mrs. Hilley: I should have brought Emily instead...

Mr. Hilley: Honey, chill out, she's enjoying herself. Have a little fun.

Mrs. Hilley: We are here for delegation purposes, Hunter, not to set Leah up with some Kaltian prince.

Mr. Hilley: I'm going to laugh when a Kaltian man starts flirting with her, you'll really regret it.

Mrs. Hilley: I'm regretting many things...however, Kaltian men isn't one of them.

Ms. Charles: Please excuse the monarchs, Mrs. Tivat, I am Minister Charles of Human Services. I'd like to see your museums.

Mrs. Hilley: Just please hide the attractive museum workers, unless you want them marrying Ms. Charles.

Anyret [to Mrs. Hilley]: "Do not worry, there are no princes here in Kalti... Nor are there any princesses. My family, along with the other founding families are just very old families that have been around since the founding of the Kaltian Republic."

Anyret [to Ms. Charles]: "However Ms. Charles, if you do get a chance while you are here, check out Cefnfor Nos, it is located down by the pier. Wonderful hangout for singles."

Anyret [to everyone]: "Regardless. I am Anyret Tivat, matriarch of the Tivat family. Welcome to Kalti and to Summerland, the national capital.
Which museums would you like to visit? I know Aicen and Lesiones are with the Syrixians at the Kaltian National History Museum. We can head there so you can learn about the countries history. We also have the Music & Poetry Society, the Navigator's Museum, the Exploratorium and the Kaltian Museum of Natural History."

Ms. Charles: Be sure to drop me off there after this, I saw one of the football club players on television, and mmm, they are fine...

Mrs. Hilley: I hope he likes silent girls, so you can hush for five seconds. Mrs. Tivat, it is nice to meet you. Queen Hilley of Pigletville, this is my husband, Hunter, and my single Minister of Human Services, Leah. We will be attending the FC game, and I can make no promises that Leah won't be drooling over your players, if she isn't dating one by then.

Mr. Hilley: Is there a science museum? I really enjoy the sciences and the arts! I'd also like to learn about your country.

OOC: Bootise, I see you keep writing Tirat... it is Tivat (with a V). Anyways...

Anyret: The football game is tomorrow. For the time being, I'll join all three of you at the Exploratorium. It's the science museum here in Kalti and full of hands on exhibits. While we are there, I will be more than happy to answer any questions you have about the nation. And Ms. Charles, I'll have my brother, Susabi, escort you to Cefnfor Nos and then make sure you get home safely to the resort. As for the King and Queen I'll personally escort them back to the resort, I want to catch up with Solveig, the two of us haven't had alone time in a while.

OOC: Whoops, posts fixed.

Ms. Charles: I like my men, tan, but not too tan. He needs dark hair, and preferably green eyes...

Mrs. Hilley: I can't wait until we get in the museum...what should I do with my daughter, Mrs. Tivat? She might get cranky...

Mr. Hilley: Speaking of the football match, could you hook us up with some football spirit wear?

Ms. Charles (to Mr. Hilley): Psst, my future beau has us covered, your majesty.

Mrs. Hilley: Should've brought Emily...lead the way, Mrs. Tivat.

Anyret: "Give me just a minute."

[Anyret takes out her cell phone and calls her brother Susabi.]
Susabi: "Hello?"

Anyret: "Susabi, how are you?

Susabi: "I'm good, just relaxing before I go out tonight."

Anyret: "Are you by any chance going to Cefnfor Nos?"

Susabi: "Wasn't planning on it. But if there is a cute girl involved I could be convinced to change my mind..."

Anyret: "Well... I have Leah Charles here from Guslantis. She's single, cute and finds Kaltian men attractive. I thought I'd hook her up with you tonight and you can show her the Cefnfor Nos area."

Susabi: [sighs at being thrown into a blind date] "... fine. I'll show her Cefnfor Nos, it'll be a good time. Let her know that all drinks are on the Tivat family."

Anyret: "Thank you, I'd take her myself but I'm going to be escorting King and Queen Hilley back to the resort and then catching up with Solveig."

Susabi: "Have a good one Anyret. Tell Leah to dress fashionably and that if she is lacking anything to let our private driver know, he will help her."

[Anyret hangs up the phone and relays all the information from Susabi to Leah.]
Anyret: "Leah, my brother Susabi is going to take you out to the Cefnfor Nos area tonight. All drinks and club cover charges are on the Tivat family. He also said to dress fashionably and that if you do not have anything to let our private driver know who will get you whatever you need. As before, all expenses shall be covered by the Tivat family."

[After talking to Leah, Anyret turns to Mr. and Mrs. Hilley.]
Anyret: "Mrs. Hilley, as this is the Exploratorium it is designed for all ages. If your daughter becomes cranky we do have a daycare center who would be more than happy to watch her for a few hours. They have plenty of smaller hands on science experiments to keep the young ones entertained. Mr. Hilley, let me know which team you'd like to root for and I'll send my private driver to pick up shirts while we tour the museum."

Ms. Charles: Score! Your brother is going to introduce me to a really hot football player! What are their team colors?!

Mrs. Hilley: We're ready to embark when you are, Mrs. Tivat.

Mr. Hilley: I'll probably root for Et Dea FC, they seem to be a good choice.

If you are curious about the aging of the leaders of the families, the way it works is that when the oldest son or daughter of the family reaches the age of 25 they inherit the role of patriarch or matriarch of the family. Aicen is 42, Lesiones is 55, Anyret is 44 and Ridga is 31. This role is then passed onto the children when they reach the requisite age.

OOC: I will be adding a lot to this thread throughout the day. The way the Kaltian museums work is that they are all self-guided... hence my introduction of the founding family members. I am using them as a front to give a guided tour to the foreigners about what is being seen.

[Aicen, Lesiones, Alfred and Shaw have arrived at the exhibit on Chalni.]

Lesiones: "Around 2000 B.C.E., our people were living in Andalusia which is located far to the north, the exact location has been lost to time. There we shared the land with Mazikans and Selarsiansthe people's. Eventually land greed took over and a terrible civil war broke out between all three people's of whom the Kaltians were the smallest and soon our ancestral land was under threat. At this time Chalni was our ruler at and he was consulted by his four generals: Covo, Alvanna, Valciai and Eriani."

Aicen: "Alvanna is my ancestor and founder of the established Kotor family while Eriani is Lesiones' ancestor who founded the established Valais family."

Lesiones: "As I was saying, Chalni was a brilliant tactician and general but he relied heavily on his generals for the safety and well being of the Kaltian populace. After much debate it was decided it was time for the people to leave and go in search of a new homeland."

Shaw: "But what of Chalni's early life?"

Aicen: "Sadly we do not know much of his early life. Prior to the founding of the Kaltian Republic in 1990 B.C.E. all our history was passed down orally from father to son or mother to daughter. It wasn't until landing on what is today Serravalle Island that the majority of our history began to be written down which was overseen by Alvanna and Eriani."

Lesiones: "Due to the efforts of Alvanna and Eriani we have a much clearer picture of Chalni's life after 2000 B.C.E. He initially abolished the Kaltian government system of selecting a new leader and placed himself as sole ruler. He also elevated the status of his four generals to unquestionable authorities on all matters of surviving the trip and establishing a new home. Now, you may be thinking that this sounds like a totalitarian system but in reality Chalni was looking out for the Kaltian people and wanted to give them the strongest possible foundation with which to make a society from. He decreed that as soon as the Kaltian people found a new home he would relinquish control and allow for democratic elections of new leaders."

Aicen: "Summerland was founded in late 2000 B.C.E. and for the next ten years Chalni ruled unquestioned and unchallenged. During this time he helped the Kaltian people settle down and re-build their lives. He also created many of the institutions that would come to rule the nation years down the road; the key ones being the State Assembly and Supreme Court. By 1990 B.C.E., Chalni was old and wanting to retire. On 1 Iyar (February) he officially declared the establishment of a federalist democratic republic with the first Castelli being Castelli di Summerland which was to be the home of Summerland, the national capital. Upon his retirement, Chalni issued two final decrees. The first was the establishment of the Kaltian Cabinet that houses the Premier, Vice-Premier and Ministers while the second was granting Covo, Alvanna, Valciai and Eriani their own land and titles on any surrounding island around Serravalle."

Lesiones: "This is how Acquaviva Island came into existence. All four of the generals were the closest of friends and decided to explore the island together and eventually split it equally amongst themselves. Covo took the south, Alvanna took the west, Valciai took the north and Eriani took the east. In the middle of the island was a large open plain that all four set aside as belonging to all Kaltian people and not just one group. This was the Fields of Siriol which would in the years following come to house some of the most sacred and religious buildings in the nation.

As Aicen mentioned, Chalni granted each of the four families titles. Those particular titles are Tiarna de Ghaois and Bhean de Ghaois which translate as Lord and Lady of Wisdom due to the wisdom and guidance that our ancestors had. As for Chalni and the Vorce family? Initially they did not have a title granted to them but after Chalni passed away, the Kaltian people came together in solidarity and granted the family the titles of Tigherna an Tsolais and Bhean an Tsolais which translate as Lord and Lady of Light. The Vorce family was given this particular title due to Chalni acting as a guiding light during times of trouble and keeping everyone calm during the turbulent times of fleeing Andalusia and eventually settling here."

Aicen: "Though you needn't worry yourself about our titles. Since they were first bestowed upon our families they have been honorary titles and do not place us any higher in the social strata that makes up the Kaltian Republic. Yes, it is true that every member of the family holds that title but each of us rise and fall on our own merits just as the rest of the population does.

At this point in time, the only occasions where our titles are used is if we are presenting a speech or called to speak in front of the government."

Meanwhile, over at the Exploratorium are Anyret Tivat, Minister Charles, King and Queen Hilley and their infant daughter.

Anyret: "Welcome to the Exploratorium, home of many wonderful and exciting hands on science experiments. Here is a brochure of all that the museum has to offer, we have the South Gallery, the East Gallery, the West Gallery and the Central Gallery [I'm basing this on the real world Exploratorium in San Francisco]. Feel free to look through the brochure and let me know what exhibits you would like to see."

Back the Eden Beach Resort Anthony has finally finished his work and has joined Solveig out on the deck of her suite soaking up the sun. Sadly this peace and relaxation for Anthony was not too last. About an hour after he settled onto his lounge chair, the door to Solveig's suite rang.

Anthony: [mumbling] "I'm done with work, I'm not getting up to answer the door."

Solveig: [sighs] "I don't want to get up either, too comfortable out here on the deck..."

[The doorbell continues ringing...]

Solveig: "Master Amdir [one of two Guardians acting as a bodyguard for Solveig] can you get the door for us?"

Amdir: "Right away ma'am."

[Amdir answers the door to see Niyola Vorce. He's a little stunned to see her...]

Anthony: "Well Amdir... who is it?"

Amdir: "Sir, it is Bhean an Tsolais Niyola Vorce."

Solveig: "What? Why is she here?"

Niyola: [walking into the room] "Well dear, I am here to pay our nation's leaders a visit before the start of the festivities."

Solveig: "I thought you were staying home with your children till the festivities began?"

Niyola: "I was going to do that. But I started to feel a little copped up in the capital so I came out here to the resort to get some fresh air."

Anthony: "And how did you know what resort we were at? The only ones who knew were the Majority and Minority State Assembly Speakers."

Niyola: "Anthony my dear, I am the matriarch of the Vorce family. It is my duty as head of the family to check up on you two to make sure you are following the creeds and ideals laid down by Chalni."

[Solveig starts laughing at the Niyola's rebuke of the Vice-Premier.]

Solveig: "Very true. But more to the point how have you been?"

Niyola: "I've been good, the family is doing well. We are enjoying our privacy away from the spotlight."

Solveig: "Well, you and your family are always welcome back at the Estate to give us consultation and advice."

[The remainder of the afternoon is full of gossip between Solveig, Anthony and Niyola.]

After the spiel on Chalni and a few hours of perusing the museum, Alfred and Shaw decided to sit down and have lunch. The two sat with Aicen and Lesiones, though they sat at different ends of the table. The two Syrixians began to talk in the native language.

Shaw: Qaihan zol quur yoghne...haqryet?

Alfred: Qahan mat...Kolan zurraq. Ey, zhemurich. Zhemurich.

Shaw handed Alfred his phone.

*ring* *ring*

Minister of Justice Savus Archelius picks up the phone.

Savus: Maksul?

Alfred: Maksul, Sovis. Eqche Awhid. Ahwid Nursson. Qalat meqoour Malvad du?

Savus: Hospje phuraaq, Sim Ruqulun, hhei!

Alfred: Miqnas shaqabo feiren...hapa dei na soca Malvad qarpa ansupar deiiudo? Quya? Jub'uy?

Savus: Koqei nyetteq. Makkoyren, hhei, haqo pulir pa dogalaqei Kalti dohgne?

Alfred: Emeureq iokod somolos qei. Weqaarei Kalti quur. Shahama vertuahe meq.

Savus: Qalata mansuuqolen, wuyoren; ipsmat qoleiren fjoc. Loahugi, hhei!

Alfred: Loahugi.

*Alfred hangs up*

Shaw: So Malvad still hasn't presented the treaty yet?

Alfred: Afraid so, from what Savus says. If they don't do it this weekend I'm going to have your Ministry and the Ministry of Justice take matters into their own hands and make/display it.

Shaw: Sounds good, let's just see what happens in the future. For now let's enjoy our vacation, it seems Aicen and Lesiones have already finished their lunch.

The two men continue their lunch.

Mr. Hilley: Ooh, let's explore the East Gallery! What do you think, Abigail?

Mrs. Hilley: I wouldn't mind seeing the Central Gallery. What about you, Leah?

Mrs. Hilley looks at Leah who is applying makeup.

Ms. Charles: I...I think I'll enjoy the East Gallery...

As Alfred and Shaw were still eating, Aicen and Lesiones start gossiping about the festivities in their native tongue.

Aicen: "So do you think we will see Niyola at all before the festivities?"

Lesiones: "I honestly have no idea. You know her, she and her family enjoy their privacy..."

[At that moment, Aicen's phone rings.]

Aicen: "Dia duit?"

Niyola: "Aicen, conas atá tú a dhéanamh?"

Aicen: "Tá mé ag déanamh go maith. Cá bhfuil tú ag glaoch ó?"

Niyola: "Tá mé ag glaoch ó na rogha. Chinn a stopadh ag agus a sheiceáil ar Solveig agus Anthony."

Aicen: "Ah, tá mé anseo le Lesiones thionlacan na Syrixians ar fud an Músaem Stair an Dúlra."

Niyola: "Wonderful. An bhfuil a rá leis an Syrixians rá liom Hi agus go bhfuil súil agam go bhfuil siad ag baint taitnimh as Kalti."

[Aicen hangs up the phone.]

Lesiones: "Aicen, are you alright?"

Aicen: "That was Niyola. I was not expecting her to call any of us..."

Lesiones: "Well that is for sure unexpected. Did she have much to say?"

Aicen: "Not really, just to let me know that she's at the resort with Solveig and Anthony."

Lesiones: "Well, well... the reclusive Niyola decides to venture out of her families estate. Did she tell you why she went to visit?"

Aicen: "Nope."

[Before Lesiones can answer, Aicen turns to Alfred and Shaw.]

Aicen: "By the way, Niyola wishes to say hi and that she hopes you are enjoying your visit to Kalti."

Shaw: Anyways, I believe we're done eating. Where to next? Any recommendations?

[Aicen turns to Lesiones and starts speaking Kaltian.]

Aicen: "Lesiones, d'fhéadfadh muid iad a chur i gcónaí ar an Trá Eden Saoire . Tá siad araon suim sa teaghlach Vorce . Tá mé cinnte go mbeadh siad sásta chun freastal Niyola."

Lesiones: "An bhfuil tú cinnte go bhfuil an smaoineamh ciallmhar?"

Aicen: "Eh, is é an ceann is measa go mbeidh Niyola bheith annoyed ag dom agus diúltú a labhairt liom don chuid eile den tseachtain."

Lesiones: "Fine ... Bí sé ar do cheann na hiarmhairtí a bhaineann intruding ar a laethanta saoire"

[Aicen turns to Alfred and Shaw.]

Aicen: "Well, we could either see some more museums here in Summerland or we could head to the Eden Beach Resort and drop in to visit Niyola."

Lesiones: "I've already warned him that it is a terrible idea but he is set upon going, so if you are interested in meeting her, I can have our private driver take us there."

"I think visiting Niyola would be a good idea." replies Alfred. Shaw nods in agreement.

Aicen: "Very well, I'll call up the driver and we'll head down there now."

Lesiones: "Don't you think we should call her first?"

Aicen: "Where's the fun in that..."

[Lesiones just shakes his head thinking about how Niyola is going to berate Aicen.]

[Aicen's car pulls up and four people get in and start heading towards the Eden Beach Resort.]

[Meanwhile, at the Eden Beach Resort Solveig, Anthony and Niyola have changed into everyday clothes and are at one of the restaurants enjoying lunch. The topic of conversation is mainly about gossip and catching up on how everything has been in their lives.]

[As the car pulls up to the resort, Aicen is the first one out to go and greet Niyola. Lesiones gets out more slowly and stands patiently with Alfred and Shaw.]

Lesiones: "I'm telling you right now that she is not going to be happy to see him. He's always getting into mischief..."

[Before Lesiones can continue, a women can be heard yelling in the background.]

Niyola: "Aicen, ??? ??? ???? ?????? ?? ?????? ?? ??? ? ??? ???. ??? ??? ?????? ??? ... ??? ??? Lesiones, ??? ????? ????? ???? ??? ???? ???? ???? ??? ???? ????. ???, ?????? ??? ?? Kotor ?????? ?????? ????? ?????? ????????? ?? ?????? ???? ??..."

Lesiones: [shaking his head] "That would be Niyola scolding Acien in her native tongue for his antics..."
[I'm using both Welsh and Gujarati as Kaltian languages. Welsh is the more modern of the two while Gujarati is the more ancient. All four of the matriarchs and patriarchs can understand both but outside that it is rare to see an average Kaltian know both.]

Lesiones: "Looks like she's done. Might as well head inside and introduce you."

[Lesiones walks into Solveig's suite with Alfred and Shaw.]

Lesiones: "Good afternoon Premier, Vice-Premier." [turning towards Niyola] "Niyola, you are looking as lovely as ever..."

Niyola: "??? ????? ? ????? ????? ?? Aicen ????????? ?? ??????. ??????????, ????? ??? ?????? ??? ?????..."

Lesiones: [gesturing to the Syrixians] "This is Prime Minister Alfred Nursson and Minister Shaw Atlas."

Niyola: "Good afternoon gentlemen. I am Bhean an Tsolais Niyola Vorce."

Aicen: "Both of them are greatly interested in your ancestor, Chalni. We gave them a tour of the National History Museum earlier."

Niyola: "Is that so... Well, if you have any questions feel free to ask."

[Both the Premier and Vice-Premier get up from the couch they were sitting on to grab fresh drinks and to see where the rest of the conversation would go.]

After a long day of the Exploritorium, the Guslants return to Tivat.

Mr. Hilley: Wow, that was quite intriguing!

Mrs. Hilley: It was very hands-on and Victoria didn't even cry once!

Ms. Charles: Even I thought it was fun. Though I'm hungry...

Mrs. Hilley: Mrs. Tivat, do you think that we could grab a bite to eat at a cafe?

Ms. Charles: I also need to change into my date dress! I found a cute emerald dress on my tablet and I'd like to see if Kalti has it in any of their stores!

While the Guslantians were exploring the museum, Susabi had arrived and was conversing with his older sister. As soon as Ms. Charles came out, Susabi went up to her and said hello.

Susabi: "Ms. Charles, I will be more than happy to take you to Summerlands fashion district. I'm sure we will be able to find your dress. After we can grab a bite to eat before heading out to the bars and clubs."

Anyret: "Mr and Mrs Hilley, I'm glad to hear that you enjoyed the museum. There are quite a few restaurants around here that you would enjoy."

Alfred: We pretty much learned everything there is to know, as we went to the museum. However, Syrixia has always been interested in history and as you are a direct descendant of the founder of Kalti, we are very honored to meet you.

While Alfred continues to talk history with Niyola, Shaw goes over to the Premier and Vice-Premier.

Shaw: Premier Nightsong, Vice-Premier Stark. Very good to see you. I assume you're enjoying the Foundation Day festivities? We certainly are, plus it ties in perfectly with Uthvaq Shanar, the premier holiday in Syrixia celebrating Alfred Odi and his legacy.

Shaw adds in, "you know who Alfred Odi is, right? If not I can tell you."

Solveig: "I'm good. Was enjoying the peace and quiet of this vacation until Aicen decided to crash it. You do know he is the owner of the Extreme Adventures company on Acquaviva Island? He spends so much of his time skydiving and bungee jumping. Guess that adrenaline rush bleeds over to his interactions with others and always wanting to cause mischief..."

Anthony: "As Solveig said, I too was enjoying my short vacation break. It is nice to see Niyola though. And I'm glad to see that Aicen and Lesiones have been helpful in giving your a tour of Summerland and some of the history of the Kaltian Republic.

Niyola: "I do know a little about him due to majoring in History during my university years. But do remind us all who Alfred Odi is, I'm fairly certain that Aicen and Lesiones are very rusty on their history of foreign countries and their past leaders.

Ms. Charles: You didn't tell me your brother was a male model, Tivat...of course, Susabi, let's go.

Mrs. Hilley: My husband is craving sushi, do you have some good suggestions?

Susabi: "You are very close Ms. Charles, I am a professional surfer. Leaves me plenty of time to spend outdoors enjoying the sun and staying fit."

Anyret: "Of course, my personal favorite is Karma Sushi Bar & Grill. All the seafood that is served is fresh and caught the night / early morning before it is served."

Alfred: Alfred Odi was perhaps the man who inspired modern civilization in Syrixia as well as scientific thinking. During the age of anarchy which was set in place after the warring empires of Stonessfurd and Balamb collapsed, Odi founded the First Republic of Demacia in 2 CE and became its first President. He was a pioneer of democracy in the North Pacific area.

Shaw: People in Syrixia praise him as a pioneer of democracy and the thriving Western society Syrixia is today, and praise his wisdom as he did all of this within two years of the beginning of the Common Era, or the C.E. The Common Era itself began when the two warring empires first collapsed.

Alfred: This is why we celebrate Uthvaq Shanar; we see Alfred Odi as, perhaps, the most important person in our history. Without him, you would be talking to a couple provincial governor-lords who wouldn't be speaking English.

Niyola: "That's fascinating, he sounds very similar to Chalni in regards to setting up the foundations of modern day society for both our nations."

[Summerland Fashion District]
[Mr. Tivat and Ms. Charles have arrived in the Fashion District of the capital.]

Susabi: "So I heard that you found a cute emerald dress while browsing online. I'm fairly certain that the Galleria Della Moda will have everything that you need. It is one of the oldest fashion arcades [malls] here in Summerland and caters to high end clothing and fashion. And do not worry about the cost, my family will be more than happy to pay."

Anyret: "All of the food here is delicious and fresh from the sea. They have sushi and all manner of seafood dishes [fish, lobster, crab, shrimp]. Feel free to order whatever you want. I'm sure my brother will find a suitable restaurant to take Ms. Charles out to before they go clubbing."
