The Lancerian Empire is happy to see the freedom your people have brought to Malvad. One of your military leaders during the conflict, Erwin August, was mentored in his youth by our Prime Minister and is considered a close friend of his. I needn't remind you that Commander August himself assisted some years ago in one of the first efforts to unite the region that would eventually become the Empire. Our own decades long civil war among petty kings, warlords, rigged democracies, and weak dictators controlling different regions of what is now the Empire have left us in a unique position of understanding your struggle. Like few others can say, we know what your country has been through and the damage the war has surely caused among the infrastructure and people, especially after the vile dictator Nadal's bombings upon the North for which we send our sincerest sympathies. Though the Empire was unable to provide support during the conflict, to see not only Commander August's success but that of both yourselves and that of your nation's people to free themselves was heartwarming and inspiring. While creating this embassy, and with every citizen of The Lancerian Empire at my back, I hope that we may form a close and prosperous alliance so that we may both rise from our turbulent past as brothers-in-arms to become two of the greatest free nations the world has ever set eyes upon.
