Skies over Malvad

The Libertarian Fighters intercepted Nadals bombers however they were a bit too late. The bombers had begin dropping their payloads, nevertheless the fighters were in missle range and began shooting the bombers down. Meanwhile in the South the Libertarians were launching their own bombing runs over Loyalist cities in retaliation for attacking the rebels. Also, Libertarian Ships were strangling the ports to keep Nadals ships in the harbor and unable to attack LibertarianLand. The navy was able to sink several Malvad ships. However a small force of one Aircraft Carrier and 2 destroyers escaped and were headed to Libertarian Soil. It wouldnt be enough to severely damage libertarianland but certianly enough to bloody her nose. Communications were sent back to the Capitol and Admiral Kilgallion and a plan was put in motion to intercept them before they got too close. A plan B was also put in place as the Libertarian Air Force was put on watch to intercept any unknown foreign aircraft that comes within 350 miles of Libertarianland and the Home Defense Forces and Libertarian Guard were put on high alert to repel any attacks.

Also, Washington had a little surprise for Nadal; about 550 miles off Malvads Eastern shores the Guided Missle Sub the GrimTar just surfaced and fired 3 tomahawk Guided Missles towards Nadals palace they should hit their target in about 10 mins.

Also, several divisions of Marines about 1,000 total were moving in close by ship to unload on Malvad soil and take the fight to Nadal.

Skies over Malvad

Commander Vigil had just picked up Karn when the attack began. Since then he had slowly been working his way towards Tiraspol. The attacks from the Air Force were starting to slow down and had stopped across most of the countryside. But there was still so much destruction.

Karn was worried. "Commander Vigil, Tiraspol will be completely destroyed. We should head south and prepare a counterattack."

"We can't just abandon the city. The Council of Revolution was there. Minister Winters was there. We have to help." Vigil switched on the communications panel. "Tiraspol Command, this is Commander Vigil. Respond." There was silence. "Tiraspol Command respond!"

"I told you Vigil. The city will have been destroyed. If Nadal has taken over she would have showed no mercy."

"They have to respond." the communications panel began beeping. "As I said. Tiraspol Command this is Vigil."

"Not Command Vigil. This is Lourdes. Tiraspol has been destroyed. Our navy is currently on the west coast."

"Any word on Minister Winters and the Council?"

"They're all dead Sans. A bomb fell right on City Central Hall. I sent in a team to find them. All they found were bodies. I'm sorry Sans."

Vigil leaned back in his chair. The entire leadership was dead. Which meant...

"I'm in charge now. We need to prepare for our attack."

But Commander. Our forces are scattered. Tiraspol and Trident have been destroyed."

"What about the Libertarians? What about Malvadiana? Who is still alive?"

"Well the Libertarians went through with their attack. They had to move forces north to help subdue the bombings. Malvadiana survived some of the bombing because the Armed Forces had control of part of the city."

"But who is still alive?"

"Hard to tell. We did find a list of Nadal's targets. Only one is confirmed dead and that is Minister Winters. Commander August is still alive. He is with Lord-hood Storm in Malvadiana. President Washington is under protection in LibertarianLand. Admiral Kilgallion is leading his navy. And General Mattaus has returned to New Haven America."

"Tell Commander August and Lord-hood Storm I will meet them in Malvadiana. Inform Admiral Kilgallion and take both navies south. Put our navy on the western coast by Nadalia. Put the Libertarian navy on the eastern coast by Nadalia. Make sure they are within firing range. I will lead our remaining forces south."

"Yes Commander."

The communications channel switched off. Vigil quickly turned the plane around and began heading south. "Karn, I'm going to need all your knowledge on the capital."

The Thundering Palace, Nadalia

"Your Grace! The Libertarians have fired three missiles at the palace!"

"Well shoot them down you idiot! I don't plan on dying!"

"The defense system is intercepting them now Your Grace. And..they've been taken down."

"Good. I knew this city would be impenetrable. How go the bombings?"

"The Libertarians intercepted some but it prevented them from fully attacking the south. Tiraspol and Trident have been destroyed."

"Excellent. And our targets?"

"Minister Winters and the Council of Revolution are confirmed dead. They were killed in the bombings. No one else is dead however."

"They'll all die soon enough. Dismissed."

"Yes Your Grace."

The Grimtar had launched her missles and then dived. The Fire Control Officer was watching the screen trackinf them and the satilite feed hook up of the video camera attached to the missles.

"Sir...the Malval Loyalist used their defense measures I lost contact with 2 missles..one...I am still showing active...they failed to defeat it it was able to launch counter measures in time. The Malvads will think they have defeated it but It is still heading to target.....and...confirmed it hit the target!"

The fire control officer smiled as he watched the screen go blank as the guided tomahawk slammed into the Royal Malvad Palace.

12:53AM
Presidential Situation room - LibertarianLand

A communications specialist sit at the controls flanked by other essential military advisors while the President and the Vice President sat behind them with the Defense and Foreign Affairs/Intelligence Secretary.

The Communications Specialist spoke up.

'SIRS! Madam Victoria - I have news to report. Satilite images report the Malvads defeated two of the Tomahawks fired from the Grimtar - however a third was successful in striking the royal palace."

Excellent President Washington thought. He looked over to the table where the drones pilots sat at their computers. "Lieutenant!" The Drone Pilots perked up. "While the Malvads are dazed and confused I want three Drone Missles to follow up with that tomahawk and smash that Palace!" "Yes sir!" Responded the drone pilots. And from high above Malvad the drones whirrled onto life. The screens showed them whirlling towards the Royal Palace. The Malvads shot one down but the other two pilots got theirs through and rocked the palace again. Satilite Night Vision and Infrared showed the palace smoking and on fire.

The President turned towards Admiral Thompkins leader of the Naval Special Operations Division and asked him "Are you good?" The Admiral responded "Yes sir, Operation Castle Keep has all the pieces in place. I have talked with General Hermann and he assures me the test stealth transport plane cannot be detected by malvad radar and is 20 mins out from the Drop Zone."

"Good, Admiral activate your Pieces."

"Yes sir." The admiral got on his secured encrypted satilite phone. "Dragon 1 and 2 this is Alpha Eagle you are clear to engage. I say again engage the target."

There was static then finally a reply "copy Alpha Eagle we are engaging"

"Alpha Eagle to Raven squadron...come in Raven squadron"

"The is Raven lead go ahead"

"Raven lead you are clear to engage."

"Roger"

The Presidents phone rang it was Admiral Kilgallion informing the President that in the midst of all the attacks about 1,500 Marines got off loaded in Southern Malvad and are meeting with Nadals forces and meeting little resistance. Another 500 Marined unloaded in the north and about 400 of 600 Marines are currently unloading in the East.

The communications Officer interrupted the phone call. "SIR! WE JUST GOT WORD THE ROGUE DESTOYERS AND AIRCRAFT CARRIER FROM MALVAD HAS BEEN INTERCEPTED NEAR AUROA ORB! Three of our attack subs and our Naval air Station sent out aircraft from air to sea combat. We have sunk one destroyer the other is rurning away and heading home anf reports indicate the carrier has been disabled."

Rockwelle barged in. "Sir! We are working with intelligence services - apparently Nadal sent more than just Slothgard we are looking on locating her agents now"

Near Nadals Palace

Dragon 1 and 2 were sat up a mile from the Palace, a special forces Sniper team equipped with a silenced sniper rifle started picking nadals forces off while Raven Squadron advanced toward the burning palace. In 20 mins the stealth transport would be here to deliever 75 paratroopers. Nadal was finished.

Near Nadal's Palace

A rather plaine looking militant was walking around the Palace, patrolling the area. To his surprise he heard a faint beeping coming from his pocket. He took it out and opened a channel.

"My Seren, you should not be calling at this time."

"It's ok Randal, it's a closed channel, there's no way she could know you were talking to me even if she tried."

"Ok, Seren."

"Now Randal, I need an update."

"The Libertarian's are just outside the city, and Nadal is going a bit power hungry. Not good."

"It's ok, did you get word from the Black Ops team(Around 10 people) in the country."

"Yes sir, they're secretly heading down the border as we speak, they have the beacons for strike area's as well."

"Good Randal, now continue with your work."

"Yes sir."

Randal quietly put the communicator away, no one noticed.

FMS Czar Godric, Western coast of Malvad

Admiral Lourdes had ordered the navies to surround the southwestern half of Malvad. No one could get in or out. Lourdes was awaiting orders from Vigil when a sailor ran up to him.

"What is it sailor?"

"The Libertarians have destroyed the Thundering Palace. Marines have landed in the north and south. Nadalia has been surrounded. They have destroyed the forces outside Nadalia and have special operations snipers in the city."

"Excellent! Nadalia will fall easily. Contact the Libertarian commander. Tell them to wait for Vigil and his forces to arrive. I know they could take the city but it is important that Malvadians secure this victory. They will be there before dawn. The attack will commence then. And make sure they know we want Nadal alive!"

"Yes Admiral!"

The Admiral was getting anxious. By evening Malvad would be free. Who knew what the future could hold? An age of peace or an age of chaos. All that was certain was that everything would change.

"Your Grace, are you hurt?"

"I'm fine you fool!" coughed Nadal, "Are the war and throne rooms secure?"

"Yes Your Grace. The rooms were made to be impenetrable from explosives and long-range attacks."

"Excellent. I must get there immediately." Nadal started to move and then saw something whiz by. "Snipers! We have to move!"

Nadal and her assistant ran for the secure rooms. Suddenly the assistant yelped and fell. Nadal turned around to see her assistant bleeding and grabbing her leg.

"Go on Your Grace. Leave me," the assistant pleaded.

Nadal knelt down next to her assistant. She came in close and whispered in her ear, "Gladly." The assistant tensed up and became overrun with horror. Nadal pulled out her gun. "You'll just slow me down dear." The assistant began to cry and Nadal fired two shots at the assistant's head and stomach.

Nadal put away her gun and ran for the remains of the palace. A shot just grazed her unburnt ear as she entered the remaining rooms. Ten staff remained in the building. 50 men were left to defend Nadal. Nadal was worried, something she had never been.

"Take out those snipers! Mobilize everyone! Secure the palace! And kill the remaining targets! The revolution will crumble if we take them out now!"

"YES YOUR GRACE!" everyone shouted.

"And someone get me a drink! Now! Don't do anything until I have it!"

Malvadinia

"Vigil will be here soon, sir!" shouted an aide.
"Good, how is everyone holding?" Asked Erwin August, acting Commander until Vigil returned. He stood in the international airport in Malvadinia, thankfully in the Northern half of the city. In the last 45 minutes Nadal's forces to the south had become agitated and several medium-scale attacks had been launched on various positions along the defensive line. All had thus far been repulsed.
"Very well, sir." replied the aide.

Though nothing they couldn't handle, the attacks had kept August busy coordinating different sections of his defensive line in the city and wondering what it could possibly mean. Either way he had not been able to talk to the Lord-hood and his communications with those outside Malvadinia had been shaky at best. From his understanding, the bombing that he had barely survived earlier and that had left him with small pieces of shrapnel in his left arm had been nation-wide and had killed at least part of the leadership in the North. Vigil had survived with Karn though August had no idea about the rest of the North. In the south, some foreign support had been active, but again communications from Malvadinia had been difficult and, for a time, impossible due to the damaged caused by the bombings and attacks.

"ETA 30 seconds, sir."

"Than-" An explosion destroyed an abandoned passenger jet at the airport's terminal. Another hit the terminal itself and a corner of the building crumbled.

"Mortar fire! Get down!" August yelled and looked about for cover. The nearest thing was a series of hangers at least 300 metres away. August grabbed the aide, shoved him in the nearby jeep that he had used to get there that afternoon and got behind the wheel. He started the engine and gunned it towards the hangers. Mortar fire continued to land on the airport. August looked in his mirror as several landed on the airstrips, immediately making them unusable. Suddenly, a mortar round landed just infront of the jeep, flipped it, and left it wrecked on it's side.

The aide shook his head. He couldn't hear anything. Opening his eyes he looked at the bloodstained and cracked windshield in front of him. Slowly he began to remember what had happened. He turned and looked to his left. Commander August was struggling and seemed trapped in the wreck.

The mortar fire had stopped and medical soldiers rushed to the jeep. August had passed out but was alive. After prying apart the wreck they took him to the infirmary. Arms and legs alike had been mangled. He had been lucky to survive the explosion and crash but for now he would be out of action.

Daniel Grumman, August's personal radioman, was the one to tell Vigil of the happenings. The airport was useless now, the runways had been mortared and craters made it impossible for planes to land there. Vigil would have to land at some other airstrip nearby and make his way into the city.

Just Outside Nadal's Palace

Randal was next to a pile of rubble and he was just coming too.

"Well, that was a pretty damn big explosion"

He went to check his communicator, which had the location of the Black Ops team.

"Well, it looks like they're almost here, guess I'm gonna have to wait it out for a few minutes for my pick up, it's going to be pretty messy here when they arrive. Being a spy is rough."

He got up to wait for the squad simple known as "The Team".

Outside Nadal's Palace
The Paratroopers were able to hit the LZ without a hitch thanks to the Navy Special Ops team of Raven Squadron clearing out any remaining opposition. Together the Paratroopers led by Major Dick Spencer, and The Raven Squadron Commandos were able to kill or take prisioner the remaining forces left guarding the palace.

"Dragon 1 and 2 come in this is Frog Jumper command."

"Go ahead Frog jumper- this is dragon."

"Dragon continue to scan for hostiles and provide overwatch for the area."

"Copy."

The Major had another communication beep through so switched the channel.

"This is Frog Jumper go ahead."

"Frog Jumper, this is Hercules Command here with Alpha Eagle." (General Hermann leader of the Army Special Forces and Parachute Regiments along with Admiral Thompkins.

"Frog Jumper, you have secured the castle correct?"

"Yes sir Hercules, Castle keep has been succesful, except her grace has locked herself in the secured war room bunker."

"Frog jumper, good work, nevermind that - here are your new orders - maintain your position over the castle - Marines have hooked up with Rebel forces and are heading to you, wait for them. And when the Marines and Rebels get there let the remaining rebel commanders have control of the scene. They should be there by first light."

"Acknowledge Hercules, the Malvads should not have awoken a sleeping giant, eh?"

"No Frog Jumper they shouldnt have...Hercules out"

1 mile away

The special Operations sniper team of Dragon 1 and Dragon 2 were providing overwatch for the troops below from their seculed heavy csmoflauged position.

Dragon 1 saw something through his scope and focused in.

He saw movement it was not a friendly troop nor was it a Malvad loyayist.

"Hello, what is this bloke up to."

(Dragon 1 had his sights fixed on 'randall')

Malvadiana, Malvad

Storm sat in his spider hole as quietly as possible. The water from the dirt began to make his boots moist, which made the situation uncomfortable. The worst part is that he couldn't even communicate with his squad, unless it was a dire emergency. So all Storm could do is remain quiet in the empty grave.

Suddenly he could feel tremors in the ground.

'Please be the South. I really hope it's the South.' Storm thought. Ever since the bombings finished, the South Malvadian forces began to enter the city. Storm and August became stuck and the only thing they could do at this point is fight. An assassin even tried to take their lives, only to fail miserably.

The tremors grew louder and louder, suddenly coming to a stop.

The people on the surface sounded terribly confused, with dialogue ranging from "where did this roadblock come from?" to "this wasn't here before".

Bingo. That was the Legi forces signal to quietly leave their holes.

Silently and carefully, the Legi soldiers popped their heads out almost in exact unison. The Southern forces were to preoccupied to notice the ground moving slightly which greatly helped the soldiers.

One by one, they left their holes carrying explosives. Some were salvaged from the deceased while others were entirely hand made.

Storm and his soldiers armed the bombs in any trucks and tanks as quickly as humanly possibly.

As quickly as they left, Storm and his soldiers retreated back into their holes and continued to wait. It was a while before the Southerners began to move. Once the tremors were gone, Storm popped his head out.

"Who packed the detonator?" Storm called out.

"I did sir."

"Is it ready?"

"On your signal."

"Alright. They should be behind those buildings now," Storm said as he pointed to the buildings next to their position. "I'm trusting you to knock on of those buildings down with them. That might cause more damage to that squad."

After a few seconds, multiple explosions were heard from behind the buildings. You could tell just from the screams that there was chaos, although none of the buildings actually fell.

"Good job everyone. We did good." Storm congratulated the squad.

"Sir, I was just contacted by Commander August." said a soldier carrying a handheld radio. "He wants to meet up at the HQ."

"Get a hold of him and tell him we'll be there in the hour. Alright, let's move out!"

Randal pulled out his communicator to check on The Team's location.

"Perfect, almost here-"

He paused, he felt a presence looking at him.

"A sniper, huh? Figures, I can never catch a break."

He turned so the sniper couldn't see his speaking to his communicator.

"Hello, Black Ops 1 The Team, do you copy."

"Hear you loud and clear, Major Randal. We're almost at your location."

"Good, there's a sniper looking right at me, send 1 vehicle to get me, smoke bomb the area before and send a vehicle out. The other's are going to have to go around the castle."

"Alright Major, thanks for the info. We should be there soon."

"Thanks."

Randal put the communicator away.

"Dragon 1 to Raven team leader, come in Raven leader."

"Raven Leader here go ahead Dragon."

"Raven...Dragon 1 has what looks like a New Haven Spec Ops in our sights, how to advise?"

"Dragon as far as I know New Haven was supplying the Rebels; as long as he is not making hostile actions to any of our guys or any allies then leave him be. I say again do not engage unless he shows hostile intent to our guys, new havens are supposed to be friendly. Though I am curious why he is here. Raven Lead out."

"Dragon 1 copies. Dragon 1 out."

Randal looked around and heard a popping sound.

"Prefect"

This popping sound started growing louder and 5 canister's came out of the area surrounding the castle.

"They're here, heh." He heard a loud rumbling noise coming at him, then it stopped. "Hello, Major Randal, hop in!"

"Finally." He jumped into the car, and it started driving back into cover to go around the palace.

"Hello Major Randal, I'm Ke'ton Varrik, do you need medical help?"

"Hello Ke'ton, I think I do, but when we get to the southern coast. A sub it docked there, right?"

"Yes sir. Funny thing we picked up a very interesting transmission, apparently the Libertarians learned we helped supply the rebels."

"Wait, really?"

"Yes, they did."

"Are we gonna kill them?"

"As long as they keep quiet, I think they'll be safe."

"Alright, good. Least we didn't have to send any mechs over."

"Got that right."

The vehicles started heading to the southern coast.

Outskirts of Nadalia

Vigil and Karn had arrived on the outskirts of Malvadiana around two and immediately loaded the forces into troop planes that were seized from the Armed Forces. August and Storm had barely survived the attack on Malvadiana but had managed to force the Armed Forces to retreat. Lord-hood Storm was apparently very good with explosives. August needed serious medical attention and had to be left with medical crews in Malvadiana. His radioman Dan was filling in for him. Within a few hours Vigil, Karn, Storm, Dan, and the forces had arrived on the outskirts of Nadalia. Libertarian marines were waiting for them.

Vigil stepped off his plane and greeted the Libertarian commanders. "Hello gentlemen. What is the situation in and around the city?"

"Most of the Thundering Palace has been destroyed by missiles. Nadal is locked in her war and throne rooms. Snipers have taken out the surrounding defenses. The inner city is secure. The outer city is where most of Nadal's troops have massed. Some still remain outside the city."

"Thank you soldier. I'm sure you have been informed that I am taking command from here."

"Yes Commander!"

"Good. You will join our ranks. Secure the outskirts of the city. Once done there, follow us in to the outer city. You will draw the enemy while my troops work our way into the inner city. We will use the intel we have received from General Karn to take down the city," Vigil ordered, "And Dan, contact Admiral Lourdes. Tell him to begin bombarding the city. We can also give him certain targets as we go through. Make sure Admiral Kilgallion does the same. Any questions soldiers?" There was silence. "Well then let's get moving!"

The troops started moving towards their positions. Vigil pulled Dan aside. "Dan check on August's condition. See if he's recovering. If we can, get him down here when we secure the city."

"Yes Commander."

"And Dan you will be staying with Lord-hood Storm, Karn, and I. We may need a radioman."

"Of course Commander."

Dan ran off to join Storm. Vigil smiled. He knew that on this day, Malvad's freedom would be secured.

Ruins of the Thundering Palace

Nadal was in a state of pure shame and misery. Her Queendom was falling before her. Her palace was destroyed. And to top it all off they had run out of alcohol. Most of it was destroyed. Nadal drank the rest.

A new assistant walked up to the Queen. "Your Grace, maybe we should negotiate terms of surrender. We will surely die if we let this continue."

Nadal narrowed her eyes. "Not we. You. Guards! Shoot her!"

"But Your Grace-"

Three bangs rang out. The guards dragged the body to the door and tossed it out into the ruined building.

"I will not surrender! I am Natasha Nadal, the first of her name, Lady of Nadalia, Protector of the South, and Queen of the Glorious Queendom of Malvad. I am in charge. And my reign shall not end!"

The Queen was going mad with rage. Or maybe she was drunk. Whatever the reason, she was convinced that she could win and that she could not die.

"I am the Immortal Queen! My reign shall be eternal! I shall be known as Nadal the Infinite!" The Queen had finally broke. Her insanity was complete.

10:30AM
Outskirts of Nadalia

Daniel Grumman, August's radioman, had been in contact with Admirals Lourdes and Kilgallion and had begun directing and coordinating naval bombardment into Central Nadalia. In addition to that, he had been working all morning to try and get a proper update on August's condition in Malvadinia. Finally he was about to get a proper response.

"Grumman, come in, over?"
"Go ahead."
"This is Lt. Larney, head of the infirmary at the airport, August has been under care all morning. He's awaken and appears to be concussed along with minor limb damage. We're holding him here tonight but we understand he's wanted on the front-lines. He should be free to leave tomorrow morning and we've already booked a special flight for him."
"Great, thanks Lietuenant, Grumman out."

"Good," he thought to himself "August is alive and well- well enough anyways."
He rose from his seat and went to a different radioman in the room and ordered him to relay the following message to Commander Vigil.
"August still recovering, will be flown in tomorrow morning. Battered but breathing. Flight already booked. - Dan"
The man relayed the message. Dan left the radioman and resumed his seat.

"The final wheels are in motion," Dan thought "The rebellion will soon be successful."

He thought of the future freedom for a moment before snapping back to reality. His thoughts were interrupted by some infantry leader demanding more naval support in one area or another over the radio. "There's still a job to do before that." he thought, and resumed his work.

"Naval support ready, could you repeat your last?"

Outer City, Nadalia

Nadal apparently had more forces available than previously thought. It had taken the Libertarians all morning to secure the outskirts. Vigil and his soldiers had pushed ahead through to the outer city but had met heavy resistance. The Libertarians were starting to enter the outer city and draw away the remaining forces. Vigil, Karn, and Storm began moving ahead towards the gate into the inner city. Karn's intel had keot them alive so far and would hopefully continue to.

The Malvadians hid in an alleyway and examined the gate. There were ten soldiers guarding the gate and twenty up on the wall. The gate was heavily fortified and could only be opened by soldiers on the wall. Or maybe some really good explosives...

Vigil turned to Storm. "Got any explosives left?" he whispered.

Storm nodded. He pulled out a bag and opened it to reveal large amounts of C4. Storm grinned. He turned to his Legi soldiers and pointed to the bag. The Legis understood and pulled out their bags.

Vigil whispered out orders, "Squad One will take out the ground troops. Squad Two will take out the soldiers on the wall. The Legis will wait until it's clear and then blow down that gate. Squads wait for my signal."

Vigil turned to the wall and waited for the soldiers to turn around or glance away for a second. "NOW!"

The squads unleashed hell on the soldiers. Squad One easily surprised the ground troops and gunned them down. Squad Two hid in alcoves and fired onto the wall. One by one soldiers fell off the wall. After a few minutes the path was clear. "Legis set the explosives!"

The Legi squad ran up to the gate. They placed explosives all around and on the gate. The other squads backed up. The last explosive was placed. Storm looked to Vigil for the go ahead.

"Blow it down Storm!"

Storm pressed the detonator. With a loud bang and smoke the gate was blown. Once the smoke had cleared the soldiers looked up to see a rather large, gaping hole in the wall.

Vigil smiled. "Well soldiers. We're in."

The next new assistant walked towards the Queen. "Your Grace, the outskirts have been captured. Troops are pouring into the outer city." A loud bang could be heard outside. "And that would be the inner gate be destroyed."

Nadal had reached her limit. She was drunk, angry, and had jumped off the edge of insanity. She was unable to deal well with defeat. "You fool. They can't hurt me. They can't kill me. I am Nadal the Infinite. This is my nation. The people are mine."

"Yes Your Grace, but the rebels are growing rather close."

"The defense system will stop them."

"The defense system malfunctioned Your Grace. The Libertarians destroyed what was left of it when they hit the palace."

"No matter. When the rebels come knocking I will see to their deaths personally."

"Um, yes Your Grace."

"Is that doubt I hear? There is no room for doubt in my court. Shoot him."

"No Your Grace! Never doubt! Please Your Grace-"

And another assistant fell. Three in one day must be a new record, Nadal thought. "Throw the body outside. It is a symbol of my power and what I can do!"

"Yes Your Grace."

"And order all forces to surround the palace. I must be protected."

"Yes Your Grace."

11:24 a.m.
Inner City, Nadalia

Despite all odds, the rebels managed to progress rather quickly despite the number of Southern soldiers in their way. It was most likely due to the lack of organisation. Vicci wasn't necessarily the most organised military leader in the North Pacific, but Nadal has apparently has no clue how to run her military.

Storm was just grateful that the rebels took advantage of the coup while they had the chance.

"Hey Storm! Do you have any other explosives?" Vigil shouted from some cover.

"What do you need them for this time?"

"There's a group of soldiers behind some cover that are giving us a hard time. We need to get them out somehow."

Storm sighed in disappointment. "It's not like we have infinite amount of bombs! The reason why I'm so good with explosives is because I know how and when to use them. We can simply flank around from the rig..." Gregory said before he was interrupted by a bullet passing by his head.

"What was that?" Vigil asked.

"Nothing. I was about to say that I have a cherry bomb that might be useful." Storm said as he passed the explosive.

Vigil pulled the pins and threw them as accurately as possible. To his success he scattered a few of the soldiers and picked them off as they ran from cover.

"Great work! Move forward!" Vigil shouted.

Gregory could tell that as the Rebels drew closer and closer to the palace, the hard they fought. But he also saw the same for the Southerners.

The Rebels have the spirit to win this fight, and most likely win this war.

"That doesn't mean the Goddess of Fate has other plans in store for us." Storm said to himself in a silent, cynical tone.

Inner City, Nadalia

The rebels kept pushing forward and were nearing the Thundering Palace. Nadal would soon be captured and the revolution would be over. Resistance from the Armed Forces was stronger the closer they got but was beginning to weaken.

After a few minutes of running through empty streets they could see the ruins of the palace. There were soldiers guarding what remained of the building.

Vigil looked to his troops. "Alright troops. This is it. In that building is Nadal. When we capture her this revolution is over. Now Squads One and Two will take out those troops." Vigil turned to Storm. "And your squad will use the remaining explosives to blast open the door. We'll go on my signal." He turned to watch Nadal's soldiers. "GO!"

The rebels sprang into action and were fully prepared to take out the soldiers. The soldiers saw the rebels coming and immediately dropped their weapons. "WE SURRENDER! WE SURRENDER!" They put up their hands and moved towards the soldiers.

Vigil was rather surprised. All of Nadal's soldiers so far had fought to the death. Why would her palace guards surrender? Unless...

"Don't move any farther! Everyone back away from them!"

But it was too late. The soldiers pulled out detonators and pressed them. There was a flash of light and a loud bang. Vigil blacked out.

A few minutes later a soldier walked up to Vigil and shook him awake. "What..what's the..what's the situation..soldier?"

"Well sir..we've lost all of Squad One. There's only a few of us left."

"What about Storm?"

"He's still unconscious. Some of the Legis are still left."

"How many total do we have left?"

"Not including you and Storm, only about twenty of us. We can still do this though."

"Good. Get Storm up. Did the door get blasted?"

"No the soldiers were too far from it."

"Well then let's blow it up!"

"Yes sir!"

It took a bit to get Storm up. But he finally came to and got the explosives ready. "Explosives are ready Vigil."

"Blow that door sky high!"

Storm pressed the detonator. There was a bang ans some smoke. When it cleared the door was gone. "All right! Let's go get Nadal!"

The Throne Room

Nadal was sitting on her throne when she heard the explosions. She smiled. Looks like the rebels weren't expecting that, she thought. But after a few minutes there was another explosion and lots of shouting. Her smile went away. She screamed, "THE REBELS ARE IN! PROTECT ME WITH YOUR LIVES! MY GUARDS, TO ME!"

She pulled up a screen that showed the war room. Rebels were in the room and Nadal's soldiers were falling. Soon all of her troops were dead. "DON"T LET THEM THROUGH THAT DOOR!"

Suddenly Nadal heard a beeping coming from the door. "GET BACK YOU FOOLS! THEY'RE GOING TO BLAST THE DOOR!"

The guards didn't move fast enough and when the door blew, they were hit by the large metal doors. Only a few guards remained. The rebels walked in. Vigil and Storm were leading. "Come quietly Nadal! No one else has to die today!"

"NEVER! YOU CAN'T KILL ME! MY GUARDS WILL PROTECT ME! GUARDS! ATTACK!"

The guards ran at the rebels and were easily gunned down. "You're all that's left Nadal. Surrender."

"NO! I CANNOT DIE! I AM INVINCIBLE! I AM ETERNAL! I AM INFINITE!" Nadal took out her own handgun. "AND I CAN PROVE IT!"

Nadal put the gun to her head. Her insanity had taken her to this point. Vigil screamed, "NO! DON'T DO IT!"

Nadal pulled the trigger. There was a bang and she collapsed. Vigil ran to her body but it was too late. Queen Natasha Nadal was dead.

Vigil called to two soldiers, "Inform Admiral Lourdes that Nadal is dead. Broadcast it across the country. Have the Libertarians secure the remainder of the South. Tell all of our forces and our allies we will meet in Modino Maro in six days to discuss all remaining matters."

"Yes commander."

Vigil turned to look at Nadal one more time. He then turned back around and motioned for his troops to follow. The revolution was over.

Commander Vigil stood at the end of the table as everyone gathered. The fate of Malvad had to be decided. This required the input of all the leaders or supporters of the revolution. Vigil and Admiral Lourdes were the senior Malvadian leaders. Commander August was flown down from Malvadiana and was joined by his radioman. Lord-hood Storm was there representing the remaining Legis. Admiral Kilgallion was representing the Libertarians. President Washington had surprisingly shown up to give his input. General Mattaus from New Haven America had also arrived to give input. And General Karn had been pardoned and was allowed to join the meeting.

As everyone appeared to be there Vigil called them to order, "Everyone, please be seated. We have much to discuss."

The leaders sat and Vigil started the meeting. "A moment of silence please for the dead of the revolution." There was a long pause. "Thank you. Well men, six days ago the revolution ended. Natasha Nadal is dead. Ronald Vicci is dead. Nadalia has been destroyed. The North was in flames. We have to fix what Vicci and Nadal destroyed."

Lourdes spoke next, "We will need support from other nations to succeed. If some Libertarian soldiers could stay to help keep the peace it would be much appreciated."

President Washington stood. "LibertarianLand runs a very strict non-interventionist policy. But given that we are already here we could spare some troops for a few months."

Vigil smiled. "Thank you for your cooperation Mr. President. Another issue I want to cover. Lord-hood Storm. I thank you for your service to this nation. When all other Legis supported Vicci and left, you and your forces stayed to help us. You and your forces will always be honored by Malvad. And now the issue. I want you and your forces to stay. You defected from your country and they may not accept you back. It would be an honor if you stayed here to rebuild and become a part of the new Malvad."

Storm stood and bowed. "Thank you for the honor Commander. I will ask among our ranks what they consider best."

"Excellent Lord-hood. New Haven America has also provided us with a great deal of support for which I thank you General Mattaus. Continued support would be very helpful."

"You can count on our support."

"Thank you General. The remaining issues are all political and can be solved by the new government. For now this council, the last Council of Revolution, must select an interim leader. And we have very few options."

"Where are your former politicians Commander?" asked Storm.

"Vicci had Nadal hunt most of them down. They were killed or, very rarely, imprisoned. The remainder went underground. We have been unable to contact any of them. Minister Winters and his Council were actually not high-leveled. They were, at the highest, deputies in their ministries. If we could find any we would ask them to lead. So we must select from the people in this room."

President Washington laughed, "Well that eliminates a lot of us. Two of us are Libertarian, one a Legi, and one a New Haven American. There are five Malvadians in this room. One is a pardoned ex-general, one a radioman, two commanders, and an admiral. Who would we choose?"

"We must vote. We must select who would be the best for the role and who the people could trust. That eliminates Karn. Commander August is still recovering from his injuries. Dan is a radioman who has never held a leadership position. And Lourdes and I are military leaders. The selection is difficult."

Lourdes stood. "It should be me. You Vigil are commander of the armed wing of the revolution. I am the head of the greatest Malvadian fleet, the fleet that saved the people and protected and loved them. If we want to gain the trust and support of the people it should be me."

"I must agree Admiral. Let us vote. All in favor of Admiral Samuel Lourdes becoming interim leader, raise their hand."

Every hand in the room rose. "Samuel, you are now our interim leader. You can take over from here."

Lourdes smiled. "Then let's get to work."
