They did, until the reformation of the monasteries.
 
I do not think anything in the proposal involved beheading queens, burning archbishops at the stake, dissolving monasteries or wearing codpieces.

Paranoia muchly?

PS has it occurred to anyone that secularism is a doctrine too? No?
