Here is what I will stand on.

1. I will implement the law exactly as it is written. Where the law is silent, I will do nothing.

2. Since the law does not mention breathing (either inhaling or exhaling) I will not breathe from the moment I am elected.

3. After about four minutes I will fall to the ground, gasping for breath. I will decide to CHOOSE LIFE! Give it to the man!

4. After that epiphany, I will not bring any prosecutions as Attorney General. That is right. none. Nada. Nothing. FAce it, most people want to just have the fancy titles anyway.

5. Towards the end of my office, I will disappear - poof!!! - in a cloud of smoke, safe in the knowledge I cannot be recalled.

6. Should a recall happen earlier than that, I will scream that the RA, by reading this thread has given me a democratic mandate. What fun we shall have!

7. Why will I do nothing? Let's face it. Our courts are a total joke, and have made our region a laughing stock for years. TNP existed for many years without a court system at all, so I think the best service I can offer the region is to bring the whole house of cards crashing down.

8. Did I mention what fun we shall have?

9. So, er. Vote for me for AG. There really is, when you think about it, no sensible alternative.
 
Oh yes. One thing I will do . The court seal is not nearly big enough or phallic enough. I will immediately on election commission a new one.

If I achieve just that I will have done more than most of the cabinet, or many AGs in the past.

Which would you prefer? An Attorney General who promised nothing but delivered 100% or the usual pattern - a candidate who promised the earth but then did nothing as Attorney General?

Either way, you get bugger all. But at least this way you will not be let down.

The best way to shake the court up is for someone to throw a spanner in the works. I am that man.

My worst trait is that sometimes I am too modest, and that makes me question how amazingly awesome I am. I mean, it is so fricking amazing to be me, yet sometimes my modesty makes me downplay that.

My best trait is that I am usually able to overcome that modesty.


In order to counterbalance my bad traits I would work harder on my good traits.

A daddy bird.

You see, Roman, when a mummy bird and a daddy bird love each other very much, they decide to have a baby bird. The daddy bird goes off and builds a nest, so that the baby bird will be nice and warm and cosy. Then they decide to go off and make a baby. First they kiss then they make the baby. But it is the mummy bird who has the baby bird, not the daddy bird.
 
Flem, what is the most important case you will refuse to prosecute?

The most important case will be TNP vs Flemingovia. Once people find out what I have done, charges are inevitable.

I would be tempted to pursue Flemingovia vs Grosseschnauzer. But purely because nobody else has, and folks could whine on endlessly about Conflict of interest as well as inactivity.
 
I would like to thank those who supported my bid to become Attorney General.

Although we were not successful, your votes were proof-positive that not everybody in TNP has their heads shoved firmly up their own arses.

It would have been fun....
