Kiwi for Vice Delegate and Council

For those of you who don't know me, I have served as the Minister of Communications as well as previously as a deputy. Right now I am the deputy speaker but I would be thrilled to work with McMasterdonia to more actively engage with issues that arise in TNP.

I always have and always will conduct myself in TNP in a manner that fits with what I believe. If I think someone has done something wrong or shouldn't be doing something, I'm going to let them know. Regardless of the political fallout. That's just how I am. Although that said, this has probably got me into a bit of trouble in the past. On top of that I have tried my hand (although unsuccessfully thus far) at drafting some legislation and it's been great to foster active debate.

Activity

Put bluntly, I'm on summer holiday at the moment so during the period up until the February elections, unlike many others, I will be able to maintain a period of high activity or availability. This is combined with the fact that I am already on the IRC 24 hours a day (although obviously I'm not always there).

Military stance / the NPA

I would like to have participated in the elections for VD last time round but I was actively involved in an NPA mission. Many people are often interested on what side of the R/D paradigm any given individual sits on. I've been accused of being pro-raider and while I am technically part of a raider org, I have never actually raided anyone. So by definition I don't think I can be a raider. I will continue to push for both Raids and Defending missions and as a member of the executive council I feel I'll be able to do this.

Ministry of Choice

I'm always happy to help wherever I am needed. My preference would probably be MoC since I have done it before but I'm definitely open to whatever is necessary.

Closing Remarks

I always grow wary of reading posts like these when they're too long so I won't make you all suffer through that! I will say that I appreciate all those who will vote and that the interests of TNP are my paramount concern. And thank you for those who choose to vote for me.

If you have any questions you would like to ask, please feel free to do so.

Do you feel that you have any prior experience that would benefit you in this role? If so, how? What would be your overriding goal as both VD and as a Co6 member? Do you think that having a variety of raiders and defenders is good or bad for the region and why?

Finally (for now!): Why shouldn't I vote for you?

If made MoC, what would your goals or plans be?
Thanks so much for the question Welsh!

I want to make it clear that while this is the Ministry I've had, it certainly isn't the only one I would take.

I say this because Elu or McMasterdonia (or perhaps both?) recently altered the way the MoC works. This means that instead of one person writing all the stories, you assign stories to "reporters" as such.

I guess as MoC I would like to promote TNP-wire as much as possible and would encourage our ambassadors to do the same. I want to see it used as a tool to promote the region and encourage others to join the region.

Hope that answers your question!

Hey Abbey! Thanks for asking a question!

In terms of prior experience, I've been part of the executive council before both as a Minister and a deputy. Any experience both in real life and previously as part of the government of TNP, can only be positive in future working relationships. And the relationships with people I've previously built can only make us all work better together. I guarantee that I still have other things to learn but I think that's part of the process. Anyone who goes in assuming they know everything is just going to make working with others that much harder.

Stability and progress sums up my overriding goals. I want to work with the SC (and the MoD) to ensure that during the holiday period while people are inactive, the region is protected from any threats. As part of the Co6, I want to see things progress and try and build on the foundations already laid down in the MoC. Or whatever other office I'm given.

TNP can only benefit from having a variety of different people! All the crazies are what make TNP so fun! I would be sad to see either agenda take a primary role in TNP. I always have and always will believe that both Raiders and Defenders have a place in TNP. And that in doing so, this can only be a good thing.

Haha why *shouldn't* you vote for me? In some respects there are nominees who have more experience in such roles or have been playing the game longer or are just simply more popular with voters. I really do think I would do a great job though and I believe I would be a great choice. But I will leave that up to you :)

Thanks for asking questions. I really hope I covered what you were looking for.

I have a very serious question I am asking all candidates - what is your position on the abuse of purple? Will you protect purple from abuse by persons?

Do you enjoy constantly going on about it?

Considering the amendment I proposed here, you can probably guess my stance on the issue. I do find it quite funny that here you mention that the whole issue is just because of a personal issue or tantrum from a certain member but personally I've only spoken to said member on two occasions. So that wasn't my motivation at all. The proposed amendment by that logic would equally be based on personal reasons although I do sympathize with you. The person in question didn't act appropriately in the situations in question which sparked the controversy.

If you want my personal opinion though, I think colours in general should be reserved for officials so that we know what "hat" people are wearing. The speaker should be able to talk in a debate so long as he isn't using the "speaker" colour so that people know he isn't talking in an official capacity. This is the same with other colours such as purple. That said, a bill of rights argument seems tenable too and perhaps people should be able to use what colours they want within reason. At the end of the day, the RA should be discussing the issue so it probably isn't too relevant to my campaign.

Hope that helps.
